I've never been held back from a job I wanted...I think my being a female got me further along than expected. Yes females tell horrid stories that outdo the ones you hear from males, but I don't doubt anyone as far as horrid stories are concerned.

Point is, until some apocolyptic day that females begin to dominate the human race and enslave the male population, I think the answer will usually be Woman still suffer more.

Actually, Z... I am going to point out that Hillary Clinton is dangerously close to becoming the next president... And if she gets in, I am running for my life. And so is Cain.

Actually, it is wise that a female president doesn't exist yet. I would hate to see what would happen if we did and there was a war started because she got pissed off at someone during her PMS days and she decided to nuke the bastards.
Although I am surprised Hillary didn't brutally castrate Bill....

Well, there are some theories on Hillary Clinton.
From her Supporters: She is kind and passionate. You like her. All women should vote for her simply because she is the same gender. Vote for her. Now.
Other Theories: She's an alien/robot/the beast/monster/worst thing that's going to happen to us since the last fucking Clinton.
My Aunt Stef's words on the matter: "That is not a woman. That's a man, I tell you."

I would say women suffer more. Still paid less, still ebing bossed around by men while we drink beer and complain about work, still expected to handle every single kid's tiniest issue. Yea....being a woman would stink right now Then again, imagine if the roles were reversed.

Someone wrote a book on that topic. If the roles were reversed. Some post-apocalyptic book my mom read. I still gotta remember to ask her about it.

From Wikipedia: "The rape of women by men is by far the most frequent form of the assault, with an estimated 91% of rape victims being female and 9% being male while 99% of offenders are male."
Well, that pretty much sums it up.

I say equal. Why? Because my dads life sucks. I'll get to that soon though. Yes, women are paid less in most jobs. Even a women is part of the board of directors, she will still be paid less. But, not my step mom. She is the director of a part of her company and she is paid equally. Infact, maybe even a little more than most men there. And yes, women are treated badly in other countries. But, there is nothing you can do to change that when it's part of someones religion... Especially when someone has such a strong connection with there religion. Anyways, heres why life sucks for my dad. My step mom is lazy around the house. When she is there, she is either watching t.v. , on the computer playing arcade games like Bejeweled, or sleeping. She I havent seen her make dinner for about 2 and a half years now. And even back then she hardly made dinner. My dad drives everyone (excpet me becuase I have a car) to school, friends houses, etc. My dad makes dinner (I eat out because I get out of work at 10). My dad cleans the house. My dad works on his hands and knees everyday setting tile (which is painful work)(trust me, I know)(I've spent many of my summers working with my dad). My dad now has for the most part a crippled spine, bad knees. His hearing is getting worse due to the fact that he did a tour in the army of in the middle east for the entire timeline of the war. While my step mom leaves the house at weeks at a time for work meetings up in Dallas. And for the most part all she does is spend a few hours at the meetings and then go spend money we dont have at places like Fiesta Texas. Leaving me and my dad to take care of everything at home. When my dad has work, and I have school and work. But, heres another thing away from that conversation. One thing that sucks for girls is when it is that time of month. But what sucks for the guys is being around the girls at that time of month... dealing with their mood swings. (trust me, I know about that too... I have been with my girlfriend for a little ovar a year and a half ) No offense though. So please, dont get offended.

Everyone citing that the Middle East as grounds for saying that women as a whole suffer more has no idea how minuscule the population over there compares to the rest of the world. I'm not denying that woman over there suffer, but to generalize their suffering to the rest of the world is not exactly an intelligent argument.

Okay, I think women do suffer more, world wide. Btw, I do know that this thread is old, but I'm interested. Okay just to say this is that here in the USA, just like everyone thinks that blacks are the most discriminated group or Mexicans, no this is not true. Whites are the most hated, because of anti-rascists hatin' the racist whites along with all of the "minorities"
Anyway, back to the real topic. So Men have it harder here, merely because of the Male stereotype. That we all want to drink bber, sit around and btich about how hard work is. That we want nothing but sex from a relationship. That we are automatically less cultured than our female counterparts. I am not saying women in the USA suffer, but men suffer more here in the homeland.
Now in the rest of the world, yes, woman suffer way more. Not just in the good old middle east, but in the far east. Yes I speak of the asian nations, predominately (sp?) Japan and india. In Japan, women are little more than nuturers for their childrens, and servants to their husbands. and in Inda girls as young as 8 years old are made to be prostitutes so as to make enough money to sustain their families, by that I mean added to their parents meager pay.
Also in other nations and specifically one continent. I speak of course of Africa, which we rarely speak of unless talkin' about it's animals, exports, or more recently, it's genocide. But when we do speak of these things we usually don't talk about the people and when we do, we mostly think of the men. So we knocked out asia and Africa, two of the six inhabital continents.
In Europe, mostly eastern europe, the women are treated like crap unless your old or nobility. So it still sucks there. In south America women aren't treated horribly, but still not great. So worldwide Women win, but in the Western World men win.
