Supervisors I've compiled a list of the Unions members and organized them to form a kind of Chain of Command. If you have any question on where in the Union your responsibility falls, check here and it will outline your "Chain of Command" All members are now divided into groups, in order to maintain organization. Each group is run by a Supervisor. Orders will be passed down the Chain of Command via these Supervisors so it's imperative you follow the directions of your supervisor. If you have a problem, you should handle it at the lowest level possible. For instance, lets say you are a warrior recruit and you think you are being treated unfairly by another member within your group, or a member in another group. You should first go to YOUR supervisor with it. your supervisor will do what is necessary to help you out. If the problem is so bad that your supervisor can't handle it alone, he will go to HIS supervisor and request help. Again, keep things at the lowest level possible, don't go over your supervisors head and report problems to higher command. The only exception to this rule is if your supervisor is the cause of the problem your having. Should that happen, go up to the next highest level and go to his supervisor. Also, for the record, the Supervisory status is an authority given by appointment, not rank. It is possible for a member of a lower rank to be the supervisor for a member of higher rank. i will try and limit this as much as possible but please understand that it may be unavoidable. Should this occur, the Supervisor has the last word on matters pertaining to the group itself. Outside of group matters though, the higher ranking member has authority. i have been thinking lately on the Formalities within the Union.
Generally i dismiss things like Saluting and "sirs" because i always thought of the Union as an informal type organization.
however, it's come to my attention that a lot of members continue to use the "sirs" and salutes when conversing with a member of higher rank. So i pose this question to all Union Members. (PM me your response please, keep this thread clear.)
Would you like a more formal environment with "sirs" and "ma'ams" and saluting and all that or do you like a more informal environment where rank only counts on command issues?
again, this is just a question that i'd like some feedback on. It's not a vote but i do want to know what you all feel on the subject.

UPDATE
Ok, first and foremost
Congratulations Galera Rukai and Tycen Malone. you are the Unions newest Legionnaires. I'm sure someone higher then you will be happy to supply me with a recommendation for advancement after RPing with you for a while, you'll be ready for SCS in no time.
Second
~Rene, your character Yaw'li Sorbate is dangerously close to being discharged for inactivity. I suggest you either start posting with him or send me a message telling me why you can't
Third
I've made some changes to the Supervisor system. instead of making a whole long chain of command thing i just made companies. Upper command will be in charge of commanding the Unions Enlisted personnel (troops and crew purchased at the Holonet)
Fourth
Congratulations Ashley Sparks, your the unions new Optio. your dedication to the Union so far (and Drake) has been exemplary.
That is all, carry on.

DISCHARGE
Rene~ your character has been discharged from the Union for inactivity
ANNOUNCEMENT
I've changed the ranking structure slightly so you may want to look at that as your offical rank may have changed. your still getting paid the same, but the actual name of the rank may have changed.
CHANGE IN POLICY
In response to my earlier question on weather you all want a more formal military type structure. The ranks have been divided into two groups. Enlisted and Officers.
All members with an Enlisted rank will be required to address officers as sir or Ma'am, unless they are Shipmaster or higher in which case they are addressed by their rank.
Also, when in uniform, all Enlisted members will also render a Salute to all Officers when outdoors or reporting for duty. Salutes will be rendered only when a hat or helmet is worn.
When outdoors, all members of the Union, Officer or Enlisted, are to wear some kind of head covering, be it some kind of hat or helmet. No helmet or head covering of any kind is to be worn indoors except under battlefield conditions or when armed in which case a cover must be worn at all times.
This may or may not be a temporary policy. I want to try it out for a while before i make it a permanent part of the Union Policy.
