"Good, your both here. John, go ahead and have a seat." Walton said. he plugged his datapad into his desk and downloaded some data from his console before unplugging it and turning it around so Cross ans Sheppard could see.
"Your plan is good, it allows for a fairly stealthy intrusion into the target for the Dragoons to get John and his boys into the station. I think we need to work in some better stealth techniques in there like the drones but the basis of the plan is sound." He pointed to his datapad display which showed the combination of their two plans with a few modifications.
"What i'd like to do is being like your plans have it. Jump in out of their sensor range. The only problem is that we'll be out sensor range as well. Once the fighters launch i'll have the Galactica microjump to this position." The image showed galactica disappearing from one spot and reappearing closer to the station.
"The fighters will draw their guns in one direction. the sudden appearance of the Galactica will hopefully draw their guns in another direction. Cause some indecision and at most lighten the load on the fighters and dragoons." He said and pointed to the estimated weapon emplacements on the target.
"John, we'll have the Dragoons drop you guys off as close to the fire control room as possible but we don't have a lot of intel on the interior of this thing so it's our best guess. you may have to think on your feet to silence those guns. Once their heavy weapons are out of the picture Galactica will dock and the Calvary will storm in. We have your 300 some marines plus most of Galactica's security force has volunteered for the mission. Makes 542 men in total."
Walton indicated the two rooms highlighted on the targets. One was labeled Fire Control. The other was labeled Detention Control. "Once Fire control is down we need a team to get to the detention control room. Once the Sith start to lose control their first move will be to take the prisoners hostage. We need to get to them before the Sith. We'll clear the station, grab our supplies and set the prisoners up with a working transmitter and supplies to last months."

Samantha looked at Walton as he said the plan. She understood the changes to the plan. She was already thinking about a trick of launching drones from the Galactica’s main guns. Once he was finished she spoke up. "Sir, I know you fear screwing with history but I think we have a major opportunity here." Samantha looked at him. "Sir, the Galactica is still heavily undermanned. If is a POW base, so most of them would be republic military. These prisoners would not have been freed if we did not come for months if not years. Countless would have died, the Sith were notorious for their treatment of POW. Why not ask for volunteers to join the crew?" Samantha figured they could especially use more deckhands, general crew, and marines. They may even get themselves some more medical staff or pilots.

Sam, if we were to do that, we could fuck up history more than it alreaty is. Captain, I think I have a way to take everything over with 4 men, but I need 12 down there. My specialty teams, Hawk, Snake, and Boar could handle everything down there. All they need if objectives and they will get them down.
Shepard decided to keep standing. He was a little heavy in his armor, plus it was a tad uncomfortable sitting down. Once they had the control system under their power, then they could use the extra men. It would be a whole helluva lot easier working this way than with more people than he was use to.
I would also like to go back to my old rank of Colonel until we get back to the future. I think my old Marine rank would be better than sticking with my Navy rank.
The plan for the attack wouldn't be changed that much, and theyre would be less shuttles heading down, one mashed load, or two or three individual loads. Easy as pie. [/sub]

"My reason for not taking on the prisoners is much simpler. According to our history, prisoners from that camp end up living normal lives in their own time. We're not taking the prisoners on as crew because we already haven't taken them on." Walton reasoned. "To be honest, we don't know anything about the vast majority of prisoners. Some would be republic soldiers but some might be there for other reasons."
Walton crossed his arms. "Anyway, thats getting ahead of ourselves. Without fuel and food we won't be able to handle the crew, let alone take on prisoners."
Walton took his datapad back and withdrew from the planning program and made a note for himself. "Your right John, i'll handle the paperwork and get it in by lunch. You'll be a Colonel again in less than a few hours."
He set an alarm to remind himself about Sheppard's paperwork and put his datapad back on the desk. "If there aren't any more questions, i want you to take the plan to your people. See if they have questions or anything to add."
The Captain's comlink buzzed and he held up a finger to tell the two to wait. "You have the Captain." he said into the link.
"Sir, it's Stowe. The Dragoon scout you requested just left from the port side hanger door. its outbound and spinning up her hyperdrive." Commander Stowe said.
"Thanks Gram, i'll be there in a minute." The Captain shut off the comlink and put it back in his desk then looked back up to Cross and Sheppard. "You guys have anything else?"

Samantha looked at the captain with a smile. "Sorry sir, my temporal mechanics is a little rusty." Sam was joking of course; temporal mechanics was a topic they never covered in the academy. All she knew about time was general relativity and hyperspace relativity. They were trapped in a paradox and she just could not get a grip on it.
When the captain said that they were done, Samantha stood up and saluted. "Yes sir." Sam head Stowe say that a Dragoon was to be launched. She remembered that was Lt. Olsman was the Dragoon that was the Dragoon on call. He was a good guy, a little cocky, but nothing special.
She collected the datapad and headed back to the pilots ready room. She figured she would describe the plan to Yellow Aces and Blackjack problem first, and then she would go down to the hangerbay and talk to Suicide Kings. She would also talk to the dragoon pilots to see if there were volunteers for the troop transport mission before she assigned people to them.

Shepard stood up strait and saluted Walton, but just for a second, then he put his hand down. He had a light smile on his face, but his dark eyes were as cold as they always were. One shouldn't take him as a bad person by his eyes.
Thanks, Captain. I'll get my men ready for our attack. If anything happens, radio in for me. Just because I'm a marine doesn't mean that I can't do my own part as a senior staff.
He nodded then left the office, and checked his chrono. It was still some time before he was suppose to have his own meeting, so he decided to get a jump ahead. He activated his comlink to the marine barracks.
[/i]Attention all marines. Gear check yourselves. I want a count of everything you have, and what we have in the armory. Shepard out.[/b][/i][/center][/sub]

Walton stood up at attention himself and returned their salutes. "Dismissed... good luck."
When they exited the office the Captain grabbed his cup of caf and headed for the bridge. When the doors slid open the deck watchstander announced loudly. "Captain on the Bridge!"
The crew not currently engaged with their duties snapped to attention and turned towards the Captain. Walton casually waved them off and said "Carry On." The crew went back about their duties and the Captain put his caf down on the holotable at the rooms center.
Commander Stowe walked over and leaned on the table. "Rough night Cap?"
"More than a little. Whats the status on the scout?" Walton asked.
"Dragoon 2443. It's Hollywood and Dingle. They just jumped to hyperspace. Estimate 14 hours until they return. 6 hours there, 6 hours back, 2 hours to troll around and gather intel." Stowe responded. He keyed a few buttons on the holotable and the Dragoon's hyperspace route was highlighted.
"Hollywood? You made sure he took those Elton John sunglasses off right?" The Captain said with a smile while he examined the route.
Gram chuckled slightly. "Yeah, he cant get his flight helmet on without taking them off."
Walton sipped his caf and leaned over the table, examining their current position in relation to other charted locations. They were in deep space but it for republic charts from the future it was a well charted area. "Anything to pass?"
Commander Stowe shrugged. "Engineers still can't track down the source of that energy spike and the radiation on the hull has been degrading steadily over the last 12 hours. Other then that the ship is running at 80%. Cooks are complaining that the stores are getting low. Estimates came in this morning saying we got 6 more weeks of food to go without rationing."
The Captain nodded. "Ok, Gram. Go grab some rack time. I'll handle the bridge"
Gram stood at attention and saluted the Captain. Walton went to attention himself and returned it. Gram exited the bridge and Walton walked to the command chair. "The Captain has the Con." he announced to the bridge. He sat down and pulled out his datapad to start working on Sheppard's paperwork.

Walton was nudged awake from where he was bent over, drooling all over the holotable. He sat up startled that he would fall asleep on the bridge like that but none of the officers seemed to mind or even take notice. Gram was next to him nudging him. "Captain? Captain? Sorry to wake you but Hollywood is back from his patrol."
Walton checked his crono and wiped the drool off the table with his sleeve. "Don't ever let me fall asleep like that again Gram." He said quietly.
Gram smiled. "Understood sir, but... you looked like you could use it and nothing required your attention at the time."
Walton smacked Gram upside the head lightly. "Require my attention? We're back in time you nit. Until that situation changes i think everything requires my attention. Whats the scouts status?"
Gram's smile widened but he sat back in his chair to avoid further slapping. "He hasn't landed yet but he's close enough to start an upload. He's streaming us video now."
Waldon stood up and took a step back from the table. Gram did the same but not before bringing the incoming stream right to the table. The projector sprang to life and holographic video started to play.
The video showed their target, sitting peacefully and it also showed their biggest problem. Right next to the supply station, was a Hammerhead class cruiser with Sith fleet markings that was docked. Probably a straggler from the battle at Ratakan Prime that needed supplies. Ironically enough, the same battle that had put the Galactica in it's current situation had probably put this ship in the same situation.
The Captain put his fingers up to his face and he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Ok, get Hollywood back in here and get me a full debriefing on the double."
Commander Stowe nodded and moved over to the Big Boss to clear all landings to give Hollywood priority. Walton moved from the holotable to the intercom. He keyed it and held the mic up to his mouth. "Now Colonel Sheppard, Lieutenant Commander Cross, report to the bridge."

Samantha was halve way threw explaining the plane to her pilots in the hangerbay. She could not believe her luck. "Okay people. Get some sleep or find something to do for a few hours. I well finish this briefing when we change standby squadrons." Sam would not even fight it, she could see that some of her pilots needed to get to sleep after being on watch while others were sick of their new CAG always calling breifings. She collected the datapad which had the data on it and headed for the bridge.
On her way she quickly stopped by the mess hall and filled her coffee cup. She did not waste any suger or cream in it, figuring she was able to drink it black then someone else could have that luxary a little longer when times got tough. Sam took a drink of the coffee as she walked out the mess. She made a sour face, the stuff was a few hours old and taste like it was filtered through a jockstrap. She tough threw it however and continued to take drinks as she went up to the bridge.
Sam walked onto the bridge and walked over to the captain. "Well, I just did a major no no. First mission briefing and I did not get to finish it.” Samantha said as she took a drink of her terrible coffee. “Please tell me that Lt. Olsman brought back good news. Something like we could just fly up and dock with the station without a fight.” Sam said although she knew that it was most likely bad news which would increase the chances of her pilots getting killed and equipment being destroyed.

Shepard didn't take two steps away from the briefing room before the big ass intercomm system went off for him and Sam to report to the captain. He rotated his shoulders ans sighed before taking his trek to the bridge levels above him.
He was there in a couple of minutes, fast considering how some of the crew moved. These navy men needed to learn how to walk faster. Snake, Hawk, and Boar were all briefed on the mission, ready for action, and now on their way to get their gear ready. Hawk would be assembling his gear for him. Finally, he reached the bridge and walked up next to Sam, near the captain.
Sir, any news yet? [/sub]

When the two officers arrived Walton nodded to the XO who brought up a still holo of the station with the hammerhead docked next to it. "It's bad news i'm afraid. We won't just be dealing with the station. There's a warship docked with the supply station and passive scans show it to be undamaged."
The holo zoomed in and fast forwarded a few seconds to show station and it's cruiser friend from a different angle. "It may be a blessing in disguise though." He nodded to the XO again and Gram punched a few buttons on his data pad. The holo zoomed out again and another set of holograms were superimposed on the image. The largest of these new holo's was a representation of Galactica.
"We can drop the fighters off at a distant deployment site. From there, the fighters and Dragoons can continue with Sam's A-wing slash plan against the site of the station opposite the cruiser. Galactica can then make a series of micro jumps to appear there, next to the cruiser and engage it. The cruisers small fighter compliment will only be able to launch from it's starboard hanger bays because the port bay is blocked by the station." The Captain continued.
Gram hit another button and red highlight points showed up on the cruiser. "We can hit her hanger bay within view of Galactica, frying her fighters before they can launch." Gram said.
Walton nodded. "Galactica can easily deal with the cruisers firepower. As long as it remains docked with the station it can only bring half her guns to bear on us. The crew of the cruiser and the station will be so busy dealing with us, i'm hoping they won't notice, or won't care to notice our A-wing Slash."
The holo showed blue triangles, representing the Dragoons and their Cobra escorts show up on the opposite side of the engagement and make their attack on the station. "Once the cruiser is dealt with, we can even use the docking collar she's using to deploy our marines." Gram said.
Walton pointed to where the Dragoons were attaching to the station. "that way everyone on the station will be sandwiched between the bulk of our marines and Sheppards assault teams."
The hologram froze as it's program finished it's run through. "First Priority is still that fire control station. I won't be able to stay docked at that collar long enough to deploy marines if the stations defenses are busy pounding me."

[/b]So long as Sam and her fly boys can get us down there, me and my teams can deal with that fire control system. As an added bonus, we will even take it over and use it for our own purposes. Perhaps we can even take this station for ourselves, if you want.[/b] Shepard wasn't being cocky, either. His commando teams were some of the best out there, and handled some of the roughest battles and survived with little casualties. Hawk has yet to take a casualty, while snake took one, and boar took two. Compared with the number and difficulty rating of the missions, those were very good. We are safe for a space drop if Sam can get us there, there, and there. That should spread us out enough for each team to land safely and get inside. I can probably gain control of two other systems on the station, if you can locate something nearly as crucial as the fire control system, Which I will gain control of with Hawk.[/center][/sub][/b]

"Their fire control room and the prisons are the top priorities Sheppard." Walton said. "I want all your teams focused on securing those two objectives. Once thats done we can take the station piece meal deck by deck at our own pace."
Two pilots walked into the bridge, still in full flight gear and one of them had on a giant pair of gold rimmed sunglasses. The pair approached the captain and saluted. "Lieutenants Olsman and Simmons reporting as ordered."
Walton returned their salute. "Welcome to the bridge Hollywood, Skates. You got anything for us besides the nice video?"
Olsman smiled. "Sir, we trolled around the area for 2 hours, do you really think all we got was video?" He pulled from his pocket a flat of chalkboard with his notes written on it. "They had no idea we were there, and they were broadcasting with an encryption code that was better then 30 years old."
Simmons smiled. "It was so old it wasn't even in the Dragoons database. Luckily i brought my private collection of encryptions."
Olsman handed the chalk board over. "There was a whole slew of ships communicating out there. The station, the cruiser, two flights of fighters and they changed patrols twice so i'd say your dealing with the cruisers full compliment of 12 fighters."
Simmons perked up after that. "We even got close enough to ID one. Sith Interceptor. Old as shit, i can give you the tail number and the pilots hair color if you want." He said through an impressively wide grin, even for a pilot.
Walton smirked and held his hands up. "leave that for your report Skates. Good job, both of you. Cross, Sheppard, do you have any questions for our illustrious scouts?"

fire control room and the prisons, huh. Would you like that medium rare or well done?
So long as Sam did her job and get his men on the station, he can get his job done quickly, which would be essential if they wanted to take the least amount of casualties. Shepard almost laughed when the two men who entered the room gave their report. If they were using Sith interceptors, then their weapons on the station must also be outdated. They would be no match for his Deecee.
Hair color? I would rather be looking at that license plate. Did the cover have those chrome chicks that have been popping up everywhere?
Just a joke. He smiled and leaned back in his chair, arms behind his head. [/sub]
