Wes, reacting on instinct and nerve, shot a free hand to the blaster at his right hip and moved his seat back to plant his feet firmly on the floor as Ashley unexpectedly activated the saber. He usually wasn't this jumpy, but these Force sensitive types always made him nervous. You could never tell what they were going to do next, but they could read your mind and know exactly what you wanted to do before you did it. The whole damn idea of that was just creepy as hell to him and sent chills down his spine.
Ashley deactivated the purple colored blade and continued speaking as Wes slowly relaxed his grasp on the grip of his pistol, calming his nerves to a degree as Ashley put her blade away and made herself comfortable in her seat. He retained a leery gaze on her for a second or two, still trying to figure out her angle before he pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind. It wasn't worth it right now. He needed rest and, with any luck, they would part ways within the next couple hours.
"Yeah, well, all I want to do is get out of here." He leaned forward slightly in his chair, resting his elbows on his knees, fatigue beginning to get the best of him as he suppressed a yawn. "In the man time, you have a place in here where I can rest?"

Ashley watched Wes's reaction and smirked. "Relax," she said. "I wasn't going to slice you with it. I was just checking to see if my blade still had enough power sheesh."
She knew he was tired and she said, "Well there's spare room in the back past my room on the left or right. It doesn't matter which one you take. I have some drinks in a cooler if you want something to drink. We'll leave sometime tomorrow after I fix my ship."

Wes gave Ashley a weary glance as she reassured him that he was in no physical danger before directing his attention to the spare rooms at the back of the ship. He glanced down the hall, spotting some light coming from the doorway on the left just beyond her quarters. Like Ashley said, it didn't matter what room he chose, and Wes could care less himself.
Looking back to Ashley, he gave her a brief nod before speaking. "Alright. Well, I'm out for the night then." He pushed himself out of the chair and wheeled it back to its original place at the computer console before dismissing himself for the evening. "I'll be seeing you in the morning then, I guess."
His sentence was somewhat flat and told of how tired he really was before Wes shuffled his way back to the room, entering it and switching the light off. Sealing the door behind him, Wes engaged the lock, just in case, and made his way to the bed where he slumped on to the edge of it momentarily before swinging his feet up onto the cot and laying his head back on the pillow before closing his eyes and slowly drifting off to sleep.

Ashley watched as Wes left the room. She closed the hatch on the ship and sealed it shut to keep unwanted visitors like the sand people and Jawas. She went to her room and counted up the money she earned from the bar and the money she had left from buying the first engine and she didn't have enough, but once she spoke to the owner of the first engine and demand for her money back she would have enough or she would get a free engine if she was lucky. She laid down and went to sleep.

Ashley woke up the next morning and took of the bandage on her leg. She grabbed a piece of paper to write a note for Wes in case he woke up.
Went to go get the engine part in case you wake up and I’m not back.
Ashley went to his room and put the note on his nightstand and quietly walked out and used the Force to shut the door quietly.
She went to her room and grabbed the money and then walked off the ship and she grabbed the bad engine and went down to the junkyard where she bought the first engine and the owner walked inside and asked, “May I help you?”
“Yes I would like my money back for this useless hunk of junk you sold me,” Ashley said. “When I installed it on my ship it went haywire and went up in smoke.”
“What kind of ship do you have?” the owner asked. The guy was human who spoke English and Huttese.
“Dragoon,” she said.
“All right I’ll give you a new engine on the house,” he said as he went to the back and got her another one.
Five minutes later he came back with a new engine and gave it to Ashley.
“Thank you,” she said and gave him a small tip and left the shop and went back to her ship.
The sun was setting in the morning sky and she set the engine down and went to get her tools.

Morning found Wes alone in the cockpit of Ashley's ship looking out into the morning sunrise as the twin suns crested the distant horizon beyond the edge of town. Wes propped his head up in his hand as he rested his elbow on the arm of the pilot's chair, relaxing back into the comfortable leather seat. He tapped out a bored rhythm with his fingertips on the flight control console in front of him. He had received Ashley's note shortly after waking from his sound slumber. Though he was still displeased that he had to wait, even in these last few hours before their potential departure, he freely admitted to himself that the sleep he had managed to get last night had indeed done him a great deal of good. He no longer felt tense or irritable, his nerves comparatively calmer now than they had been. His mind was clear, thinking straight for the first time since he woke up on this arid world.
He had no idea how long Ashley planned to be when she went off to get the engine. And part of him wished that she had waited for him so they could have gone together. Not because he felt he needed to be a part of the exchange or to be there for Ashley's protection. He wagered that as a Jedi she was quite capable of defending herself should things get out of hand. He felt that his place there was to secure his ticket off this planet should something happen. If she got killed or captured, he would have no way of finding the engine or the money she had managed to win from her game of Saabac. Then he would be truly screwed and forced back to square one trying to find a way out of here.
Trying to clear the frustrating thoughts from his mind, Wes began to pick at a stray thread on the arm of the seat as he used his foot to absently swivel the chair in a slow circle. After about two revolutions in the seat however, a noise came rushing into the cabin of the ship from outside. Instantly, Wes snapped to action, placing a hand on his blaster as he moved to a side window on the cockpit. Scanning the hangar floor, he was relived to see Ashely had returned with the engine and was in the process of gathering her tools to make the repairs.
"About damn time...." He said under his breath as he grabbed his jacket off the back of the pilot seat and slipped it over his body, making his way to the back of the ship and down the open entry ramp into the hangar.
"Finally. Hopefully you didn't have much trouble getting it." He said, stepping off of the ramp to the sandy ground below. "How long do you think it will take to get it installed?"

Ashley raised an eyebrow at Wes when she heard what he said under his breath. "What? Not my fault the first engine I bought went haywire when I installed it," she said.
She shook her head and said, "No I didn't have any trouble getting the engine. The man was actually nice enough to give me a new engine for free since the other one was a piece of crap."
She grabbed her tool box and then she went outside and popped the hood of her ship to install the engine. "It shouldn't take me too long to get the engine fixed. At least an hour. I have to get some fuel after I fix it. It's got like a half of tank of gas left. Unless you feel like traveling into to town and get me some that could save us some time. There's a gas can and an oil can in the ship and here's some money to pay for both."
She slipped the engine inside the compartment and began to tightened it up.

Wes followed her out to the front of her ship, listening as she gave him an estimate for how long the repairs and installation would take.
"Great. Another hour on this damned planet and I'm gonna have to shoot someone." He thought, taking great care to keep his internal monologue from becoming a verbal representation of his frustrations.
Ashley removed a few screws and bolts from the engine compartment and popped the panel off to reveal the innards of the ship before she inserted the new engine and began fiddling with wires and plugs to get the thing attached properly so that it wouldn't explode five seconds after they started it. As she worked, she kept her focus on what she was doing and simultaneously continued to talk, giving Wes the option to either stay here and basically stand around like a useless slug on a Hutt's backside, or go into town and get some extra fuel and oil for the ship.
And though the thought of making one more trip into that shanty town was something Wes did not look forward to, he equally understood that working with her would get him what he wanted faster than if he were to be stubborn.
"Alright. I guess I'm going into town then." He said, before making his way back inside the ship briefly to collect the fuel and oil cans. Stepping back off the ship, Wes shot a comment to Ashley. "I shouldn't be long. And if I come back and find out you left me here.... I'll find you." He finished, before setting out towards the colony.
Part of him felt bad for speaking to her so harshly, but the shrewd survivor in him overpowered whatever conscience he may have had and led him to the conclusion that unless he was able to assert some form of dominance over a given situation, he was as good as dead.

Ashley laughed when Wes left. “So impatient he is,” she said as she tightened a few wires. Then she banged her head when she heard what he said about her leaving without him. “How in the hell can I go any damn where without a proper oil change?” she asked heatedly. “Men,” she said under her breath.
She finished fixing the engine in twenty minutes and she waited for Wes to come back with her stuff she needed.

Wes returned a short time later, hefting the now full oil and gas can, his demeanor visibly changed to one of frustration and anger. Anger not at his situation, not directed towards Ashley, but directed instead towards events that had happened while he was unaware of the world around him.
Getting someone to sell him the fuel and oil they needed hadn't proven troublesome in the least, but it was a lengthy process, affording him a few moments with which to tend to things of a very sensitive nature. While he had been waiting for his order to be filled a local refueling station, Was had wandered off to a nearby HoloNet link to check his personal bank accounts. It was then that he realized he had been hit worse than he had previously imagined.
Much to his horror, he found his accounts bled dry, drained of nearly every credit he had earned over the past year. He was left with nothing but a few scant credits, enough to buy him some food and that was basically it. The whole scenario terrified him and enraged him at the same time. Those were secure accounts that only a hand full of people besides himself knew about, and once he got off this world, it looked like his next job was to shoot his way up the ranks for answers.
Dropping the fuel and oil off outside the ship, Wes gave Ashley a half hearted comment before moving back inside the ship. "There's the oil and gas. The quicker we get out of here, the better." He said, his tone distracted, yet laced with the latent fury that controlled his thoughts, as he made his way to the cockpit of the ship.

Ashley looked up at Wes when he came back to the ship and told her the gas and oil were out there. "Give me some time and we'll be ready to go," she said as she got up and popped the hood of her ship and changed the oil and then she filled the ship up with gas. Ten minutes later Ashley arrived back inside the ship and started it up. "Okay ready to go whenever you are," she said as she closed the hatch and turned the ship on and then began to lift off.
