Alright so I haven't seen one of these really going in a while and me and one of my friends have been arguing over this for the past 3 weeks now, and I want to hear what some other people have to say. Star Wars or Lord of the Rings? Personally I'm for Star Wars. My friend is for Lord of the Rings.. So yeah we've been going at it over this for at least 3 weeks now lol.

Yeah, what he said there about the anal force rape. lol I'm for Star Wars anyway. For two reasons really - 1) Not a fan of the fantasy type stuff. Harry Potter, LOTR, et all.. 2) SW has the Empire! The Empire! Come on. What did LOTR have? A crazy light house with control over a bunch of Ork things? Yeah, that'll scare people. lol In over all epicness in battle sequences, though, I have to give the nod to LOTR. The last two movies were basically about war and nothing else. Just lots and lots of people dying all at once. The only time we saw that in SW was with AOTC and the Geonosis battle sequence (and maybe the opening Coruscant battle of Ep III, but it was very short lived). After that movie, the size of on screen battles was dramatically reduced. Not even the final battle at Endor was up to par with Geonosis. Beside that though, I like SW more than LOTR.

Star wars, never been into LOTR. didn't like the hobbit. It had good action but thats about it. I still don't know what the war was about, didn't much pay attention to the movie until the fighting came on. lol

Well I hope this isn't an actual battle, because uh, Star Wars would win...
As for actual series, I dunno. I liked the Lord of the Rings movies better, though they did come out much later. But I never really got into the universe, while with Star Wars I obviously did... I'll give this to Star Wars. More wide, open universe IMO.

Holy crap i have never been ask such a hard question before...And if its the two universes fighting each-other, Then i"m pretty damn sure Star wars would win however, I would like to point out a few things.
1)I liked the orcs better then the stormtroopers. 2)I like gandalf better then obi-wan (Just barely). 3)and lastly i like Sauron better then Darth Vader, There i said.
Also elfs are really cool in the Lord of the Rings flims

^ 1) Are you on crack? lol 2) Meh, they're both pretty cool. But I rarely like the good guys in these kinds of movies. XD 3) Wasn't he the one played by Christopher Lee? (aka - Dooku, aka - Fransisco Scaramenga from man with the Golden Gun?). If so, yes, he is much cooler than Vader. And to your last point, one Elf was a pirate and the other a former Agent of the Matrix. So that's a mixed point for me. Agents are better than pirates, but an Agent becoming an Elf is a downgrade, imo. lol

So this topic is easily dealt with. Lotr loses. Their magic just isn't powerful enough to compete which would the be the equalizer, however it isn't.

I prefer Star Wars to Lord of the Rings mainly because I love Sci-Fi more than Fantasy. I do enjoy fantasy; however, I love a good explosion, flashy laser swords, and space ships. I see this as a Fantasy vs Science fiction battle. (My friend is convinced Voldemort could beat Vader, LOL) So I guess it's really just on your preference. Some people would enjoy swords and magic and little hobbits, while others enjoy the classy attitude of Han Solo, lightsabers, and the Force.
May the Force be with you.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.... XD Someone also wants to mention to you that Alucard would beat Voldemort. Also note Vader would probably just laugh at Voldemort's attempts to kill him.

This really depends on if the question means which would win in an actual fight, or which one is more popular. I probably like the Star Wars universe a little more than LotR's, although not by much. The Star Wars universe seems like a much larger, much more open environment for role plays and games. I don't think I've ever seen an LotR roleplay...

Definitely. Emperor Cain (or any other sith lord) could wipe out the entire Orc army.
