Kitana put up her finger telling Zyla Bram that he would have to wait his turn. Sense he was not around when the class started he would have to wait for Allko Lytri to finish his test. She turned her attention back to Allko.
"Get up Jedi. Listen, I took this meeting with the hope of gain a few friends in the Senate that said they would open trade with Zeltros should I hear you out. You got two minute."
Kitana was in her role but also was seeing if he would pick up on the small hints she was dropping.

Zyla nodded bowed her head and found a seat outside until they were ready for her.
It was just typical of Allko to show her up like that after she had tried her hardest to be nice to him. It was just like being back on Metellos all over again.

Allko sands up. " First, on behalf of the Jedi council and the senate, i would like to thank you for having me on your lovely planet. NOw, the jedi order would like to build a Conclave on your planet. and in return, we would owe a favor, and, as your highness has previously stated, trade would be opened up with Zeltros."

Kitana looked at him.
"What do the Jedi Offer that we can not obtain on your own. What do the Jedi have to offer use as a people. I have heard what people say about you, you are always interfering with people on there planet, bring destruction wherever you have a base. Should I remind you what happen to Dantooine or Katara. Both worlds where ravaged because Jedi had Conclaves."
Kitana smiled with delight leaving the Jedi in trouble.
"Only a fool goes into negotiation without doing a little research. As far as I see, the Jedi only bring trouble that we Zeltrons do not need."
Kitana was hoping the Padawan would become flexible in his tactics. Maybe point out the flaws in her logic.

Allko said " Well, for one thing, the jedi offer your people protection. and, the Jedi don't bring destruction, the Sith do.

Kitana just shock her head.
"We have police to protect our civilians and as far I am concern Jedi and Sith are the same; produced at Conclaves like the one you want to build. You are not making a strong cause Jedi, and your time is up. I have other work to do."
Kitana waited to see if Allko would push the matter or just leave.

Allko realized this wasn't working, he needed another tactic. he called upon the force and planted the suggestion of how a jedi conclave would greatly benefit his planet. "please, just spare me a few more moments of your time, youe majesty." Allko pleaded

Kitana looked at him. Kitana herself was immune to such persuasion and thought that most rulers and politicians where trained to resist such persuasion.
"Get out of my sight Jedi."
Kitana then dropped the role and looked at Allko.
"The last thing you need to remember is when to cut your losses. What you where most likely sent by the council not to sell the idea of a Conclave to the Zeltrons but plant the seed. Most of your most difficult task is realize when it would be better to give the person you are trying to persuade time to think over what you said. So know you now the keys of diplomacy. Knowing your mark, flexibility, patients, and that sometimes it is better to cut your losses. All you need is practical practice which you can only get in the field. I hereby congratulate you on passing the class on Diplomacy.

Zyla sat outside the room, composing her mind. She was still flushed red from her embarrassment at interrupting the lesson. She would have to make it up to Master Kit somehow…

Kitana walked back to the room, the girl was sleeping and her mental state was still off. She walked in the room an waited for Zyla to enter. Every student was going to be a new experience and would require different teaching techniques. She sat down at her desk and waited.

Zyla entered and bowed. “Please accept my apologies for my earlier interruption, Master Kitana,” she said. Here it was; her first class in the great Jedi Temple. She felt excitement inside her but the weight of the expectations of millions of Jedi who had gone before her. She rose from her bow.

OOC: Sorry it took so long, Spring break this last week.
Kitana looked at Zyla.
"Do not worrier about it Padawan Bram. This class is a come and go as you please type class. Just remember the importance of timing when it comes to diplomacy. Being late can send the wrong message that you do not consider them worth your time. However situation dictate the method. You may find letting someone "sweat" can make them more wiling to bend to your way of thinking."
Kitana looked at Zyla to see if she would relax a little. To advance one must be open to accept mistakes and learn from them.

OOC: Oops sorry for lateness too…
“I shall keep that in mind, Master,” Zyla intoned. “I am ready to learn, Master.” She would have taken a seat but remained standing until Kitana gave her permission… she did not want to seem too haughty. She was always eager to give the right impression.

Kitana sat there looking at Zyla for a second before realizing that he was waiting for permission to be seated. Kitana thought about seeing just how long she would stand their for; however, she did have things to do other then give out knowledge.
"Take a seat and we can begin."
Kitana pulled up the first lesson for Zyla. Each lesson had core material with Kitana testing the student from time to time on the new idea.
"Well, I guest I well start out this class like every other class; why you are required to take this class. Diplomacy is not just a tool used by use when we want we help with treaty negotiations but also apply to may other aspects."
Kitana smiled as she looked at Zyla.
"Okay, with that out of the way lets start with the real heart of the class. Okay, as you already experienced when you walked in on Allko; diplomacy is an exacting job and therefore requires patients. As a member in a negotiation you must first be able to know when it is best to sit back and let silents continue, when your opposite needs to speak, and when to communicate your ideas and beliefs. One thing you must not forget when dealing with someone is the power of silents. Think back to when I signaled you to remain quiet during Allko's session. Did your mind start jumping to conclusions about what I was think and what you could have done better; did you find it uncomfortable and wised it to end. These types of feelings are almost universal and at time are worth ten thousand words. At the heart of every good negotiator is the strong will to remain patient even when he wants to take a shortcut to the end."
Kitana could think of many situations where this applied to her own experience. Trade disputes where always this way, one side trying to outlast the other. Of course she needs it when dealing with her husband; especially in the beginning of their relationship. Kitana monitored Zyla's reactions to the ideas to make sure she was read to continue.
