The Water Temple

[Cain]

"Good... then listen up," Kamisori ordered, "The Shadow Arts are but one of seven force forms first cultivated by the ancient race known as the Mitsukai. It was the desire of a man I knew very well, a man named Makura Atsuke, to turn the force into a weapon. For this dream he studied the force tirelessly and ultimately came to the conclusion that their were six elements of nature that could be manipulated by the force; fire, water, earth, air, lightning, and light. Makura went through hundreds of students before he found the six that most suited his definition of a 'force genius'. It was together with these six protege's that Makura was able to create most of the force powers that are used today... and many many more that were lost."

Kamisori slowly turned away from Nyx, gazing about the massive room before continuing,"

"But the true depth of Makura Atsuke's genius was not in his student's work... Makura saw uses for the force beyond the boundaries of nature. Uses that many of his students and critics thought unnatural and abhorrent. He called these the Shadow element. A seventh elemental that in fact is not an element at all. You see, to understand the Shadow element you must understand that there is no Shadow element... only your desire to consume your opponent, in body, mind and spirit."

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx understood the power of the Shadow Arts to manipulate ones opponite and that the three skills could be divided as he said. Even the fact this so called shadow elements was unnatural and was far from natural abilities in the Force seem to fit into her understanding of the Shadow Arts. All this could be understood by someone trained in the Shadow Arts.

"While the names and history is new to me; understanding the unnatural nature of the Shadow Arts is part of be a Shadow Guard. It is the reason my father chose to bring back these abilities for us elite guardians of the faith. So sense the Shadow Element seems like an advance of the Shadow Arts; I can accept these ideas."

Lady Nyx continued to speak with the same cool and collected tone which she has maintain sense she had came out. She listen to Kamisori and commented what he said to memory.

[Cain]

"Good... you already know the three basic Shadow abilities. Clone, Konisou, and Moonlight... These were techniques I taught to the Kumori as their leader. You are probably also familiar with other powers such as Insanity and Death Field..."

Kamisori closed his eyes softly and suddenly there was a slap at the glass of the windows outside. Decrepit dead bodies, walking on the ocean floor began to press themselves against the glass and claw at it like mindless zombies.

"Shadow element is all about the three c's..." Kamisori began, "Confuse, confound, and consume. How can your opponent fight... if they can't even tell the difference between what is real, and what is in their mind?"

Just then the entire temple shook as a massive tentacle slammed into the side, scraping across the windows and dragging the corpses off, leaving very visible scratch marks along the glass.

"Hmph... the Shadow Arts are a true warrior's power. As with any instrument of war, mastering the shadows means mastering your opponent. Knowing their strengths and weaknesses... using these things against them. Since you already are proficient with the Shadow element, we can move right into some more advanced techniques. Tell me, what do you know of beings called 'Kuragari'?"

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx looked at him, but she did keep track of what was going on outside. She did not loss focus on Kamisori, but to ignore what happen would be just as reckless. After his question the thought about it for a second. She knew them, but she only knew of them from the legends and bed time stories.

"I know what my people thought of them and what I have heard, but nothing solid. I was told that they where servants of the Dark King and twisted by his evil. Creatures that lived in the shadows and feasted on Luminos flesh. They where equivalent to what humans call 'The Bogeyman'. How much is truth and what is lies, I could only guest."

Lady Nyx figured it was not speculation that Kamisori was looking for, but facts. In that case she knew nothing about them, but she keep quiet after answering his question the best she could. She was always shock by how much of her knowledge was build off of legends and stories in the Book of Lucian.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

Kamisori appeared from the shadows behind Archos, who turned around to face Kamisori. He knew his recent failure would not go unpunished.

"Why have you come back, Archos....." Asked Kamisori his heart beating outside of his chest unnaturally. "I have failed." Said Archos who's spirits seemed to have deminished from his recent failure.

Kamisori let out a chuckle at this, which surprized Archos, he thought he would receive punishment for his lack of accomplishment. "You have failed in both reasons I sent you, however you still have a mission to complete." Archos looked up at Kamisori seeing if he was serious. "If I attack the jedi now it would only end in death." stated Archos knowing full well that Kamisori probably didn't give a rat's ass.

"Your smarter then that Archos, you didn't really think I expected you to succeed did you?" asked Kamisori as he approached Archos closer revealing more of his menacing appearance. "I sent you to find your Inner darkness and unleash it. That is where you have failed, and that is what you must accomplish before coming back here. Once you find that you will be able to destory the jedi, do not come back until you do."

Archos understood now, it was a bit foolish to think of anything else. He nodded his head, determiniation had resurfaced in Archos as he started to head out. "It will be done Kamisori....."

"Oh, and Archos..... you'd better find more members if you wish to deal with the jedi.... I have told Dred Akunin to send Darth Ignotus with you." Kamisori told Archos as he headed out of the room towards the exit. Archos threw up a hand saying he recieved the message as he headed for korriban he knew what he must do, but first he'd make a stop at coruscant.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

"Heh, as expected. The luminos knew little of the kuragari in the first place." said Kamisori turning to lady nyx. "The Kuragari are lost souls trapped in the void, cursed to wander the void forever. They existed before Anemos, but anemos was strong enough to use them. You shall as well."

Kamisori summoned up a shadow clone of himself, and then filled it with a Kuragari form the void, using konisou. The clone would appear as a normal clone however.

"Filling a shadow clone with a Kuragari spirit has advantages, over regular clones. Particularly, when trying to focus in battle. Normally you have to focus on each shadow clone you have on the battle field to keep them together. That being said, a Kuragari clone is self contained, and has a will of it's own. To do such a thing, you must use the shadow art, Konisou which you are familiar with, to drag out a Kuragari spirit from the void."

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx watched Kamisori preform both with her eyes and through the Force. She could sense the way he open a diminutional vortex to remove the soul, but more importantly she could sense the strength of will it took to direct it into shadow. She created a clone of Gaia, it looked exactly like the girl, right down to a scar where the spear would have been if it had not killed her. This was almost to easy, requiring very little attention. She then focused on the shadows within her clone, creating in the middle a vortex to the Void. She thought it would be hard, once the vortex was open to locate one of the tormented souls, but they where more then enough to get on close. She used the force to create a cage around the spirit which was similar to mental prison she trapped her other personalities in. With it was good and secure she used the Force to forced the spirit through the vortex between the demotions and into her clone. She then let it go loss in the clone, but for her own perfection she tried to keep most of it higher level functions trapped in several mental prisons. She also created a wall of Force energy around the shadow clone to prevent the Kuragari from running ramped. "So how do you control it from doing something which you don't want." Lady Nyx spoke directly but she was mainly focusing preventing it from going wild.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

"The mind of a Kuragari is not hard to tame. Simply dominate his mind, and it will become your slave. Able to maintain the illusion, without you focusing on it, and it will do as you command. You'll find that Kuragari have very little free will. Give them a task and they will do it." said Kamisori. "Normally when you enter the void you try and void such creatues, but they are drawn to the darkness. You should have no such trouble attracting more in the future."

Kamisori had more then 5 more kuragari clones become drawn out of the void forcefully and then their simple minds where easily dominated.

"Make no mistake however, just because a kuragari populates your clone it does not make it invincible. Being struck will still make it disappear." continued Kamisori, as he struch a clone next to him and it vanished. "People who have mastered this technice use the power of the kuragari to harm their foes, and thus have the ability to summon nearly limitless armies of clones."

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx thought about it. They would make great cannon fader, being she did not have to worry about holding the clone together anymore. She created a second one very quickly in the image of herself and attempted a simple order. Curse the Kuragari in the image of Gaia. Then kill yourself. She gave the order through the Force and the Kuragari fallowed it orders to the letter. It first cursed the other clone with the Force, causing it to vanish then hit itself with a blast of force energy. Selene then looked at Kamisori, "What is next on the list." Her voice was arrogant. Lady Nyx personality was being consumed by its own darkness.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

Kamisori grinned before drawing a katana, and with the press of a button a droid came forward.

"This next technice you will have to be sure to do. There are risks involved...." Said Kamisori as his blade began eminating a lot of power, and then as Kamisori walked up to the droid he launched his blow. Time seemed to slow down as the blade slowly came at the droid. Lady nyx wouldn't be able to move along with the droid, as it helplessly watched the blade come at it unable to dodge and then once it hit, a blast of energy outwards shattered the droid into pieces, from the inishial shock of energy being blasted out from the blade. Time seemed to revert back to normal, as the droid shrapnel soared across the room slamming against the wall.

"If you fail to exicute this lightspeed slash, then you will consume yourself and destory yourself." said Kamisori turnning to face Lady nyx with a warning. "You will be creating something similar to a black hole for a blade."

Kamisori held up the katana blade as if examining it. "While you experienced the senstation of time slowing down, the reason that droid could not avoid the hit is because, what you say played out slowly was happening at lightspeed. If you manage to catch an opponent off guard a lightspeed slash such as this will finish the match. Understand if you cannot master this in a single try the energy from the blade will kill you."

Kamisori grinned as he walked forward handing the blade to Lady nyx.

"Reguardless if you try this move now, you will at least need to know how it works. In order to build up the energy you have to put pressure upon the blade, telekentic pressure so extreme that you condense the matter. This much energy pent up allows you to swing the blade at lightspeed, and as an after effect, it causes the time rift almost torching the mind of an opponent as they wait for the blade to hit."

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx pulled out her own katana and looked at Kamisori. She nodded and he summoned another droid. Lady Nyx stepped into the shadows, she would attempt to escape if she messed up, however she was confident she would not. She started to push against the blade, building up potential energy. It started to build up more and more density, it Lady Nyx did not now when to begin the attack.

Kamisori: "Do not let the power to get out of control, strike while the iron is still hot."

Lady Nyx understood the old statement and quickly start her swing. She was shock by the way that the blade distorted the space around it. The blade was pulling the material around it, increasing the temporal distortion. She then made contact with the droid and stop pushing on the blade. The matter in the blade rebounded to its original position, and the telekinesis energy was release inside the droid case ripping apart the matter in it. Lady Nyx was shock by the power of the destruction. This was not a tool to use unless absolutely needed. "That is truly godly power. It require a lot of energy to maintain; however, I am exhausted." She stood up tall though waiting to see if Kamisori wanted to continue.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

Kamisori wasn't stopping his trainning until she had mastered all the moves he had in mind. "Good enough, now lets move on to a techince called flash step." said Kamisori creating a clone of himself, it's ugly heart beating as it walked a good ways away from Kamisori himself.

"This technice involves Konisou, advanced force speed, and sometimes clones." said Kamisori as he disappeared, and in the void used Mach speed, creating the illusion that he had struck the clone from almost three places at once simulatinously, by exiting slashing and reentering the void at a different place until the clone vanished. "You will not be able to do this, quite as fast, because you do not know mach speed, however, force speed should be enough to mimic this move along with clones."

Kamisori made another clone of himself for Nyx to try the technice on. It was simple, and used things she already knew how to do. It would be alot easier then the move she had just tried to pull off.

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx vanished into the void she cased five Force clones as she used the Force to amp up her speed as much as possible. Then all at once she and her clones exited the Void. When they did they where in a circle around the Kamisori clone. Each one launched a strike before disappearing into the void again. She waited a second, feeling a moment of peace fallowed by another lightning attack would be just what was needed. She then reappeared out of the void with her clones again. They once again where in a circle, but they started to change position using Konisou to appear at different locations around the clone. Lady Nyx herself appeared in several locations, but the train eye would notice that before the hit would have struck the clone, Lady Nyx clones where vanishing into the Void. This was because the sure numbers made c clone to exposed to a strike and fading. Lady Nyx finally appeared next to Kamisori and let out a powerful burst of force lightning which caused all the clones to vanished. Taking a breath she looked at Kamisori, "Well that was a new way to use some old tricks. What shall you have me do now."

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

"The next move is called the black hand of Makura. It's used rarely for a reason." kamisori said as Darkness began to gather around the body of Nyx as Kamisori forcefully "invited" her into his mind. While Nyx was trapped in his mind he was able to control her body like that of a kuragari slave. When he released her, she would find her own lightsaber at her neck.

"This is along the same lines as Kuragari domination except with a human. You forcefully invite someone into your mind. If you can dominate their mind then you can control their actions after trapping them in your own mind." said Kamisori. "This move can end a match in one move..... If you can pull it off."

[Odan Thos]

Lady Nyx looked at him with a little concern. "And if you can not dominate your enemy mind. They get to read your thoughts or do they have more control over you because the the link." Lady Nyx also feared from this ability, someone may be able to free up the Selene personality which she had locked away in her own prison in her mind. "Sense I lack the target for such an ability, I well hold off on attempting it." She said still waiting Kamisori to explain the dangers of the ability.
