Inside the temple, Ana struggles desperately to defend the unconcious Kyle from Atredious. Atredious toys with her, delivering powerful slashes that knock her off balance. Finally he force pushes her into the wall, Ana struggles to her feet as Atredious stands over Kyle.
Darth Atredious: There is only room for one Luminos here...
Ana Bree: Kyle!
Darth Atredious: Don't worry, you'll be joining him soon enough.
Splin: Atredious!!!
Splin's voice booms from outside the temple. Atredious slowly turns to see Splin; still alive.
Darth Atredious: Impossible...no normal sentient could've survived that...
Splin: I am no normal sentient...Uncle...
Darth Atredious: You!?.......they told me you'd been destroyed along with your mother. I should've killed you when I had the chance...
Splin: I'm going to finish this now, and end your tyrany.
Darth Atredious: Hehehe, such courage. Much like your father...you too will beg for mercy in the end. And you too will fall to my blade...

Splin steps forward, he stops a few feet away from Atredious. He looks over to Ana, who is weak, then to Kyle who can't even open his eyes.
Splin Cell: Ana. Take Kyle and get out of here.
Ana: Right...
Ana grabs Kyle's robes and begins to drag him away from the scene, once she is out of view Splin looks back to Atredious. Splin reaches to his side, and grabs Jade's lightsaber. He ignites the saber and it glows darkly with the color jade.
Splin Cell: This is the end for you Atredious...

Darth Atredious: Then die with the rest of them!
Atredious and Splin lunge foward. This time the duel is full throtle, no holding back. Atredious uses every trick he can muster only to have each one blocked off by Splin. With a quick upward slash Splin sliced the ancient lightsaber in two then force pushed him back. Splin put his saber away.
Splin: We finish this hand to hand...

Splin walked toward Atredious who was still laying on the ground, he picked him by the throat and threw him across the room. Darth Atredious hit the other wall. Atredious had one wall while Splin had the other, Splin began to list what would happen.
Splin Cell: The final test. To see who is the best.
Atredious: You will fall....
Splin releases a lightning storm that brightens the whole of the room, Atredious fights back with his own Force Lightning.

The two lightning storms collide and form a large orb of energy. Slowly the orb is pushed toward Atredious until he can no longer hold it back. A blinding flash of light followed by a massive explosion. The front of the temple is destroyed and Atredious lay on the ground, struggling for breath.

Splin walks over to the Dark Lord Atredious, and grabs him by his robe and pulls him up to eye level. Splin looks into his eyes, the eyes of a weak, frightened old man...
Splin Cell: You said you knew my father?!
Atredious: Y..yes...
Splin Cell: Who is he?!

Darth Atredious: Your father....was the first sentient to join our council....all this......it's all his fault....
Some millions of years earlier...
The Luminos temple stood as the lone building among the pristine fields of Coruscant. A marble structure lined in gold, it sparkled in the sun as a glorius testament to our power, until your mother started with that worthless sentient. After all these years…I had forgotten the name, until now of course…
Eva: I told you, he’s not dangerous! Just give him a chance.
Constans: You remember what father said, Eva. We must be very cautious about who we trust.
Atredious: He knows too much already! We have to silence him. Your love for this wretch is endangering us all!
Terentius: Peace, Atredious. Perhaps we have judged these sentients too harshly…we could use the help.
Atredious: No…do you care nothing for father’s wishes!? I will not stand by and have you sully his memory as such!
Eva: Please brother, Splin is a good man.
Atredious: I’ve had enough of this! If you mean to train him or any others, I will have no part of it! You will see…when they destroy everything we have built, don’t come to me for help!
I left the temple and did not return. She trained him, and married him. That was the last straw. After being banished I returned. With nothing short of revenge on my mind…only the Luminos would rule….or only I would rule.
Darth Atredious: Eva…how could you dishonor our father as such. A child!?
Splin: You will not touch him!
Darth Atredious: I will enjoy killing you. Ajunta!
Ajunta Pall: Yes my master.
Darth Atredious: Take care of my sister….and the child.
Ajunta Pall: My pleasure….
Ajunta entered the building and Splin ignited his lightsaber to stop him, but Atredious force pushed him aside.
Darth Atredious: You have bigger problems now, boy.
Splin: I’m not afraid of you.
Darth Atredious: Your courage is useless, now die!
He put up a good fight…but in the end I stood over him victorious.
Darth Atredious: Time to die.
Splin: You’ll never win…
Ajunta Pall: It is done my lord.
Darth Atredious: Good. Tell me, what’s the childs name? Or, what was its name?
Splin: You bastard…
I plunged my lightsaber into Splin’s chest. He was dead. And so too was his mother and the child…or so I had thought. My treacherous apprentice, Ajunta Pall was too weak to kill the child. He let him live and betrayed me on Socianis. And now his betrayal has come full circle. Your mother gave you his name…and his strength…do what you will.

Splin wasn't sure what to make of what Atredious had just told him, a part of him wanted to kill Atredious another part wanted to spare him. Splin still believed his father lived, that he walked somewhere in the galaxy.
Splin Cell: Where is my father?!
Atredious: He is dead...
Splin Cell: You lie! He still lives!
Atredious: Believe what you will...
Splin Cell: Do you see now? The light is more powerful then the darkness?

Darth Atredious: It doesn't matter now, go ahead. Kill me, have your revenge. If you let them all live you doom your self to endless war and suffering. Nothing can stop this. Only the most powerful should have control....this was his last wish...Finish it........

Splin picked Darth Atredious up with the Force and threw him against a wall. Splin wasn't sure if he had killed the Dark Lord, he didn't care. But he knew if Darth Atredious was still alive he wouldn't stop hunting until Splin was dead, Splin had to finish this now. Atredious leaped back infront of Splin trying to attack, but in a split second Splin had his lightsaber through Darth Atredious's chest. Darth Atredious fell down to his knees in agony, Splin put his saber away. Splin held Atredious in his arms until he died, after all he was still a part of the family...
