Akita took off Rune's robe from around her leg and handed it back to him. She ripped off two strips of cloth from the bottom of her shirt, folded one into a square, gripped the shrapnel, closed her eyes, and pulled it out.

She gasps and squeaked in pain, but opened her eyes again and started tending to her wound. She set the folded cloth on the bleeding gash and tied it down with the second piece of cloth. Already, red blood could be seen through the white material, but it would hold.

Yumi, see if you can find the med-kit in the cabin.

Yumi nodded and went into the cabin, and almost instantly came back out, eyes wide.

The pilot's dead. I don't have the programming to fly.
I cant fly this. Rune, can you do it?</sub>

Rune watched as Akira pulled the shrapnel from her leg and gasped in pain, in all honesty Rune even gasped a little inside. As Yumi came back out without the med-kit and explained the pilot was dead, Rune knew these two wouldn't be able to fly. "Just tell me where were going, where's the checkpoint Akira?"Rune asked. He stood up from his seat, leaving the cloak where he had been sitting. He made his way to the cockpit, throwing the dead pilot to the ground beside the controls. Rune grabbed his side in pain, after throwing the body down. He sat down in the pilots chair and began flipping a few thruster switches, beginning to set hyperspace coordinates as well as they began exiting the atmosphere. "Well?"He asked looking back to Yumi and Akira.

Akira infected herself with a painkiller, and fallowed Rune into the cabin. She gripped a second syringe in her hand. Akira gently tilted Rune's head and injected the painkiller into his neck. She hoped he didn't mind, but it would help him out. She sat down in the co-pilot chair, but only for a second. She heard a wierd pinging from back in the main hold.

Ill check it out. You two stay here.

Yumi was in the sensor chair, and didn't rise. She insted focused on making sure everything was fine with the shuttle. Akira found out first hand that nothing was fine with the shuttle, but was lucky enough to leave the cabin door open, if you wanna call it luck. There was a massive explosion from the hyperdrive. The force sent Akira flying back into the cabin, and she hit her head, forcing her out cold. The force also closed the door, keeping the acrid smoke from entering the cabin.

Rune, send out and SOS and get us to the nearest planet.
