Sitting inside her room, Lila Quix stared at the reflection with soft eyes, wondering to herself faintly what was her next move. In the room next door still laid her parents, their throats slit. She couldn't stay there much longer, what if those who had taken her parents from her would come for her next? Why was she spared?
Reaching down, into the bureau drawer, the Zeltron girl pulled out her only weapon, a simple blaster pistol. Lila had removed it from her fathers spot beneath the bed after she had discovered what had become of them. He didn't need it now.
With a final sigh, she slipped a pale red hand into her pants, pocketing the pistol. Not the best way to carry it, but it would do for now. Taking a deep breath, Lila tied up her long blue hair into a ponytail, and stepped into the Nar Shaddaa night, mind still scrambling to find a plan.

A man with a patch over his left eye, a gray Imperial uniform and perhaps one too many Corellian ale's inside him spotted Lila as she wandered the streets of Nar Shaddaa. He was a recruiter with the Empire. Even though his shift was over for the night, he had the distinct feeling that this was one that would be too good to pass up.
"Where are you going in such a hurry, little lady?" He asked, walking quickly to catch up.

Turning around, Lila saw the Imperial solider, her fingers groped at the pocket where her blaster lay. Should she run? Should she answer? Just play it cool Lila, no need to look jumpy or vunerable..
"Whats it to you, old man?" She fired off at him, hoping the attitude would drive him off more than envoke any wrath. His breath stunk of ale, he shouldn't be too hard to slip away from.

The man chuckled at Lila's retort, not even noticing her hand hovering over her weapon, "No need to be hostile, I just need to ask you a few questions," he answered, "You may not have heard, but there's a war brewing. The Empire needs all the strong young talent it can get and you just might have what it takes... you would be paid for your services of course," The man added sensing his initial words may not be particularly convincing, "besides, anything has to be better then spending the rest of your life in this pit."

"Strong young talent? And tell me , sir what talent do you see here?" Lila asked, her tone still sharp. "I'm afraid the thought of dying for anyone in some war doesn't sound all that great to me." Despite her short responses, the idea was tempting. What little she knew of the Empire and all. Steady pay? A lift off Nar Shaddaa? Maybe even a skill or two? Tempting, tempting.

"It's difficult to say," The man answered with a shrewd smile, "I can just sense it. You'll have to trust me on that," It was true that he could sense something. The force was strong with Lila, the recruiter was good at his job because he was able to feel the force within others, though he really didn't know why or how to control his gift, "Heh, the way I see it, you could die fighting in the war or you could die as the war rolls through your backyard. Death is inevitable, but that doesn't mean we have to sit around and wait for it to kick in our door."

Thinking over his offer, the Zeltron's mind rolled through the different possibilities. She could go with them, get steady pay, get some training and maybe at some point get even with those who had taken her family away from her. "Fine, I'll come with. But I'll be pouting and looking miserable to whole ride there. Don't get any ideas, Old Man." Lila warned.

The man nodded and led Lila to a transport shuttle. It was empty as most of the other recruits he'd gathered that day were already onboard the Warbird cruiser in orbit. The shuttle would take her to join them before making the jump into hyperspace on its way to Korriban...
