Looking for an old friend, but finding a wise one.

The Memory of Corellia exits hyperspace in the Epsilon system, but nowhere near Epsilon III. It exits hyperspace close to the event horizon the black hole outside the system.

"Ok, we're here." Jor said.

"Where?" Kell asked.

"This is it. It was at this point that Kosh disappeared. Just look at the sensors. Time and space are seriously screwed over around this area. They tore a whole open in reality to leave our universe and this is where they did it." Jor answered, staring off into the space towards the black hole.

"Isn't it dangerous to stare into a black hole? Something about madness? Insanity?" Kell asked worried.

"Bah, they say the same thing about staring into the hyperspace tunnel. No, this is where they left our universe... well, where most of them left. one or two stayed behind. I met one once." Jor said. "The galaxy owes him a debt of gratitude."

"But what are we doing here? What happened to you? Why this place?" Kell asked. He was frustrated that he didn't know what the hell was going on.

"because i think an old friend is going to come back to us, and the point he arrives at will be here." Jor answered. "back on Nar Shaddaa i was contacted by a hugely powerful telepathic mind... only it wasn't... it's hard to explain. I wasn't being contacted by an external mind. Whoever it was, it's mind was within my own. I think it's the remains of Kosh's personality."

"And this, Kosh, told you to go here?" Kell asked. "Why, so he can join his people?"

"No, something else. He told me someone else is returning at this point, and if it's true, well... the galaxy would certainly not be worse off." Jor said. "Kosh told me... well, he told me..."

Jor was cut off by a brilliant flash of light. An energy burst formed off the Memories bow and exploded outwards. The ships sensors couldn't identify the burst but within seconds the ship was enveloped in the energy. Bright light filled the cockpit and both Jor and Kell had to divert their eyes to avoid being blinded.

The light penetrated every corner of the ship, through the metal and circuits. The ships power levels spiked, the pilot console sparked. The hyperdrive in the engine room surged power and exploded, filling the engine spaces with smoke.

Jor killed the engines and started to shut down the reactor but was a little late. The reactor levels sparked and coolant burst from the lines. But then, just as quickly as the light appeared, it vanished. again, Jor and Kell and the ship were floating in the black, alone and boring.

"What the hell was that Kell asked."

A voice from the back of the cockpit answered the question before Jor could. "You thought inter-dimensional travel wouldn't be a spectacular sight?"

The two Jedi turned around to look at who had somehow boarded the ship during the light. He was humanoid, extremely tall, about 7'3". He was large and he wore armor that looked like it was made from Mandalorian armor and the skin of a droid. He had redish skin and a goofy smile on his lips.

On his belt was a weapon Jor would have recognized anywhere. It was a disruptor pistol, with a specialized revolver type chamber that allowed six individual power cells to be loaded at a time.

"Hey Jor, who's this guy?" The newcomer asked. He turned to Kell and bowed his head. "My name is Six. I'm a Gen'Dai who once help Jor here on a few of his adventures."

The flash came again, more calmer then before. Jor and Kell closed their eyes again to blot out the brightness. Jor felt a huge pain in his head spread throughout his body.

The brightness faded slowly this time, instead of abruptly. Kell was the first to open his eyes. he looked around to find that all the damage that had been done was now repaired. indeed some of the systems were now new. The navacomputer had a magnificent holographic display. The sensors were detecting contacts in the next system over, and the entire mass of the ship had shrunk several thousand pounds. "What the"

Jor opened his eyes next and noticed change of a different kind. His leg no longer hurt, he could feel his left hand like it was real again. He felt it with his right hand and could feel bones, and muscles, instead of actuators and hydraulic lines. His left eye could see like normal and a dozen other aches and pains through his body had disappeared. He also felt an emptiness in his mind. a presence that had been there for so long he'd forgotten about it, adjusted to it, stopped noticing it, was now gone. He couldn't really put his finger on it.

Jor and Kell turned around to look at Six. The 7'3", 300 pound Gen'Dai was gone, replaced by a 6'2" brown haired, human in a trench coat. "Ugg, they told me that would be unpleasant... whoa, wow. New skin, thats weird."

"What happened? Who are you?" Jor asked, reaching for his saber.

"It's Six. I'm the same person, just different. See, when i went with Kosh, he took me to the dimension where his species went. it was fascinating. been there for the past 20 years. They had things we couldn't even dream of. My body was transformed into pure energy on two occasions, most incredible thing i ever felt." Six began.

He continued. "But Kosh was broken, our Kosh anyway. When he left us, he left a piece of himself in you, and in this ship. Eventually he wanted to recombine with these to parts of his mind so he tried to come back, but his people prevented him from doing so. Some rule they have about never going back to their primitive times. So i offered to carry him back."

"So he inhabited you and they allowed you to return?" Jor asked.

"not really. I smuggled him out. and by him i mean his mind. His energy is still on the other side. It was just reunified with the rest of his mind. The piece in me, reunified with the ship and you and then jumped the dimensional rift to his "Body" on the other side." Six answered. "In exchange for smuggling him out, he did this to me and the ship, and you. The ship is now mostly biomechanical, infused with the technology of Kosh. You have been completely healed of your ailment and you might want to look in the mirror, cus you look 20 years younger."

"And you?" Kell asked. "They turned you into a human?"

"No, just human form. I'm still a Gen'dai, but like a holo shroud or a good plastic surgeon i look like a human." Six answered. "I regenerate a little differently to, but i guess i'll test that out when i absolutely have to. Most importantly, my mind is expanded. Like you humans, Gen'dai only use a limited portion of their brains. But when Kosh entered me, he was forced to expand it."

"So what now? Do you go back to the other side?" Jor asked. He didn't want his friend to leave. all that had happened, all the changes in the galaxy, he wanted Six to stay, to remind him of the good times when the bad guys where bad and the good guys kicked ass.

"Nope, your stuck with me. since im the only one who can properly be an engineer for this baby now. Your hyperdrive is new, your sublights are new. The computer system is expanded. this ship, is one of the most advanced ship in the galaxy at this moment. So, where do you want to go?"

Jor thought for a second, then turned to the nava computer and pointed to coruscant. The computer recognized his pointing and displayed coruscant and plotted a coarse almost instantly. jor was taken aback by this, he was used to working the system the way he programed it, but this did seem more advanced.

"Ok, lets go." Jor said. He hit the throttles and the ship went into hyperspace. but it didn't "Jump" like ships usually do. Instead, it faded into hyperspace, slowly disappearing from reality.
