It had been several weeks since Jack's death and Cain was still lost on Tishi with no way off the planet. Cloaked in dark brown robes that were wrapped about his neck to hide his new prosthesis with his hood pulled over his head, Cain marched onward through the wilderness. Having walked for days with no sign of civilization things were looking bleak. Exhaustion was starting to get the better of him as his stomach rumbled from lack of food.
As he stopped to take a break sitting on a tree stump, a glint of light caught Cain's eye off in the brush to his right. Standing and proceeding forward cautiously, Cain could make out a starship hidden neatly among the overgrowth.
"Finally!" Cain muttered to himself, "Let me off this rock..."
Stepping forward eagerly, Cain's right foot came down accompanied by a click. Before he could react two metal traps clamped around Cain's ankles, holding him in place. Then from either side two metal cables shot out and wrapped around him to hold his arms down. As Cain tried to struggle he quickly realized he was being held with the force as well.
"Well, well... what do we have here," A voice said stepping out from behind Cain. It was young woman with reddish brown hair wearing a black cloak and strange looking gauntlets on her arms. She looked over Cain, checking him for weapons and lifting the back of his robes.
"Damn... no wings," She muttered, "Just a run-of-the-mill Sith... and a particularly ugly one at that."
"Well fuck you too, woman," Cain answered with a slight mechanical rasp, "You have about five seconds to improve my mood before I bust outta here and turn you into a stain on the forest floor and steal your ship."
"My, my, we're in a pleasant mood this morning. I'd love to stick around and play, but unfortunately I don't have time for lightweights like you. I have more important prey."
"Nope, that didn't do it," Cain answered, the air heating up intensely around him and melting away the metal cables and leg restraints. Then a sudden burst of force power sent the molten metal flying in all directions. The woman did a quick back flip to avoid the attack, landing on her feet, adjusting her gauntlets.
"Gonna do this the hard way, huh?" the woman asked, opening her fists causing long needles to extend from behind her fingers. Then in a flash she seemed to disappear, reappearing behind Cain and slashing down at him. Cain turned and raised his arm to block as she raked across it.
Jumping back, a confident smirk spread over the woman's face as the needle's retracted back into her gauntlets.
"Well it's been nice knowing you," She said with a flip of her hair, "but with the potency of the toxin in those needles you should be dead in about 30 seconds."
Cain chuckled lightly, ripping the torn glove from his left arm away, revealing it's mechanical inner workings.
"Hmph... or not." Cain then used a flash step of his own, appearing behind the woman and taking his lightsaber back from her belt. Then rapidly reappearing with a punch to the face, then behind her with a spinning kick to the back, then to the side with a final back hand to the face, all in rapid succession. The woman fell to the ground, quickly regaining her bearings and wiping the blood from her mouth.
"Let me make this clear to you," Cain said, clipping his lightsaber back to his belt, "I'm taking that ship. Either you can get out of my way now or you can die. Either way it is of little recourse to me."
"Heh... you're a lot faster then you look, Sith," The woman answered, "My names Raiku Vhenn..."
"Cain..." Cain answered reluctantly.
"Well, Cain, I'm afraid I can't let you take my ship. My client will be most displeased if I return without any Mitsukai to show for it."
"You're hunting Mitsukai?" Cain asked, with increased interest, "Quite a large undertaking for one little girl."
"Call me little girl one more time and I cut your balls off, Sith. I've been hunting the most dangerous prey in the galaxy since I was 12 years old, these overgrown birds are nothing. The only problem is actually finding one... even on this planet they're hardly any to be found."
"Hmph, well you've got spirit, I'll give you that," Cain answered, "Well what if I told you I knew where you could find a few of these Mitsukai. Would you give me a ride off this rock?"
"How do I know I can trust you?"
"Either I try to kill you here now, or I'm lying and I try to kill you later. Either way, your risk is the same. Though for the record, I happen to know a few Mitsukai personally. It wouldn't be too difficult for us to get them to let their guard down."
"You drive a hard bargain, Sithy, but what the hell... you just better be right about these Mitsukai. Don't think I wouldn't kill you either..."
