Raiku's ship exited hyperspace over the Republic capital and eased itself onto a private landing pad not too far from the Galactic Senate. It wasn't long after that the ship from Tishi broke through the clouds and landed down next to Raiku's ship. The ship's ramp lowered and Raiku stepped down, followed by Luster with Cain not far behind.
"Wait here a moment, Sithy," Raiku said turning to Cain, "There's something I want to get..."
Pressing a button on her guantlet, the ramp of her ship lowered and Raiku hurried into the ship. Cain scanned the skyline off the landing pad, glancing at the sun setting behind the Jedi Temple off in the distance.
"Well this takes me back..."
"Got em!" Raiku shouted, emerging from the ship with a pair of binders that she quickly shackled onto Luster. Cain shook his head with a heavy sigh.
"What the hell are you doing?" Cain asked.
"Hehehe, no worries Sithy," Raiku answered with a smile. Just then a small fuzzy lizard crawled up from Raiku's back onto her shoulder and let out a low growl, "my little friend here will keep me safe."
"Ysalamir..." Cain said with a frown, "I hate those things..."
"How could you hate him!? Isn't he cute?" Raiku asked, holding the Ysalamir out towards Cain. Cain recoiled with a disgusted look on his face.
"Charming..."
"Well in any case, I guess this is good bye, Sithy," Raiku said putting the Ysalamir back on her shoulder, "You can take the Mitsukai's ship. Consider it a gift."
With that Raiku turned to Luster, extending a long barb from her gauntlet behind her index finger.
"And as for you... just be a good boy and don't give me any trouble, or you'll be dead before you even feel the sting," Raiku said, running the barb down Luster's cheek.
As Raiku led Luster away Cain glanced at the new ship, then back to Raiku and Luster. As they disappeared into the building Cain pulled his hood over his head and slowly followed the two into the Senate.
Inside Cain kept his distance, crouching down in the shadows. The Senate was empty as Raiku led Luster out onto the floor. A figure cloaked in black was there waiting for them.
"I believe you owe me some credits, Sourne..." Raiku said as the figure turned slowly, cautiously keeping its distance. Under it's cloak it's eyes were glowing red. Slowly the man pulled back his hood revealing blue skin and black hair.
"All in good time, young one," The man responded, looking over Luster, "You've done well. Take him down to my shuttle..."
"Heh, I don't think so," Raiku answered, "I'm not doing shit until you give me my money."
"Most regrettable," Sourne responded with a sigh, glancing at the Ysalamir on Raiku's shoulder, "Interesting creature that Ysalamir is, without it I doubt you'd stand much of a chance against the powers of a Mitsukai... but with it... I wonder..."
Sourne reached into his robe and pulled out a blaster pistol, pointing it at Raiku.
"How easy would it be to take you both down with a simple blaster?"
"Go ahead and try-"
Raiku was suddenly interupted by a blaster going off behind her. It hit the Ysalamir on her shoulder sending it tumbling to the ground. Startled, Raiku spun around to see Cain holding Sourne by the wrist. Pulling his blaster arm back away from Raiku's head.
"Hmph... tricky one this Sourne is," Cain said as the Sourne in front of Raiku melted away into the shadows, "Have the clone keep its distance and then finish it with a shot to the head..."
"I don't know who you are, but you should have just let me kill the girl," Sourne said with a smirk, "Taking out that Ysalamir just eroded any hope you may have had of leaving here alive."
Then in a flash Sourne vanished from Cain's grasp. The next thing he knew Sourne's index fingers were poking him in the back of the shoulder.
"Searing beam..."
The sound of Sourne's voice caused Cain to try and spin around, but it was no where near in time. An intense beam of energy blasted through Cain's shoulder and out the other side, crashing through the Senate wall and unbroken out across the other structures of Coruscant.
Raiku jumped back as the beam tore through Cain, activating the energy shield on her right wrist. Cain stood motionless for a moment before coughing up blood and crumpling to the ground.
"He's fast..." Raiku thought to herself, "That attack hit Cain before I even realized he had moved."
"What's the matter?" Sourne said softly into Raiku's ear, her eyes widening as she suddenly realized he was right behind her. Without a second though Raiku spun around quickly, creating a force whirlwind that tossed Sourne aside. He landed on his feet, sliding back and standing up straight. As soon as Sourne could lift his head ten of Raiku's darts were bearing down on him. With a flick of his wrist he deflected them with the force. In a flash he appeared in front of Raiku, his hand around her neck.
"This is the end," Sourne said coldly.
"Not yet..." Raiku gasped, turning her gauntlet. Suddenly it began to spark with electricity. Becoming charged with electromagnetism, the darts suddenly shot off the ground and back at them, embedding themselves in Sourne's back. With a groan he dropped her and melted into shadow.
Rubbing her neck Raiku twisted the gauntlets again causing the electricity to stop. She then rushed over to Cain, helping him to sit up. Barely concious, he winced in pain, grasping his shoulder.
"You should be ok," Raiku said, checking the injury, "That attack actually cauterized the wound, so blood loss should be minimal."
"You have to... you have to get out..." Cain said, struggling to breathe.
"What?"
"Go... now... he's still here..."
