Miles O'Brien, Captain on the cramped 12 seat passenger taxi Kestrel dropped the ship out of hyperspace. Genie sat in the co-pilots seat in full Mandalorian armor, her blaster rifle in her lap.
They were here looking for pirates. Incom corporation had reported that several of their large material transports had been hijacked. They'd found the transports days later with their contents removed.
Normally piracy like this wouldn't be of notice to the Republic Navy, but Galactica needed fighters and they couldn't go through normal channels to get them. It just so happened that the contents of these transports were Y-35 Cobras being shipped to Republic shipyards at Kuat.
If Genie could find these fighters and... "Requisition" them from the pirates, they'd make a good addition to Galactica's flight deck.

"I'm telling you lady, there isn't anything out here!" Captain O'Brien stated. They'd been cruising silently in the black of space outside of sensor range of the planet, scanning endlessly for any sign of a pirate ship or base, coming up empty every time. Captain O'Brien was getting sick of it.
"They're out here Captain." Genie insisted. The same thing she'd been saying for the past 4 hours while her fellow commandos sat in the cramped seats in the back in full armor. "These were the last known coordinates of the last transport that was attacked. They're out there somewhere, probably watching us right now."
"I agreed to take your people out here, do a job and then take you back." Captain O'Brien argued. "not sit out here for days with my thumb up my ass. If nothing happens in the next hour i'm going to take you and your ...."
He was interrupted by a proximity alert. Something had just popped onto the sensors within 100 meters. They should have detected it a long time ago, but for some reason it only appeared at 100 meters.
"We got problems. something big coming strait for us." Captain O'Brien said.
Genie smiled. Her hunch was right. She turned back to the men in the passenger cabin. "OK, boys, suit up and get ready to go EV."
Seconds later, 5 bodies slid out of the Kestrel's maintenance hatch on it's belly. Once the five men were outside and the ship was sealed up again, they jumped out into space but used small air thrusters to keep from going too far.
