The People for True Independence Finally Act

It was a sleep night on Zeltros and the royal family was sleeping in the palace. It seemed that most of the parties had ended early and the planet was calm. It was not the normal night.

In the palace, King Jerrod and his wife Trinana had turned in early after a political party which several Republic dignitaries about the new taxes. Zeltros was heading the senate in supporting the taxes, and had been spending the last four weeks wining and dining other senators to win more votes. The palace security forces were on full alert because of these parties, but no one expected anything to happen. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Around the palace a group of heavily armed men took up position in alley ways around the palace. It would be a night which their voices and views would be heard around the entire Republic.

A crack broke the silence of night. On the wall surrounding the Zeltron Palace the headless body of a guard fell to the ground. Then another crack and another guard with a baseball sized hole in his crest fell off the wall. Each of the shots came from a third story window just across from the place was a sniper using a magnetic coil slugthrower. He wore the same power armor as the men that were gathering around the palace and on his chest was the same chest of a solo star and planet.

Just as the cracks of the sniper shots rang out into the dead of night the men in the alley walked onto the main street. Each man had a heavy blaster in their right hand, which the wielded like blaster pistol thanks to their heavy duty power armor. They each had the solo star and planet painted on their armor and weapons.

The trooper started with a brisk walk, but as they came closer and closer to the front gate their pace increased. As the gate guard stepped out with his blaster pistol. He had the pistol aimed, but mechanically assist soldiers just trampled the guard. They continue to charge forward firing their heavy blasters wildly.

They quickly reached the main building of the palace and separated into three groups. Two of the soldiers head to capture the royal family, another two soldiers head for the guest quarters to get the Republic diplomats and the final group of four men headed to secure the palace by killing the guards.

The first group that headed to secure the royal family had meet little resistance. Just two guards where standing at the hall in front the door. They got several shots off at the lumbering armored warriors, but their armor absorbed blast. They terrorist returned fire with their heavy blasters, getting several deadly blows on the unarmored guards. The kicked the bodies out of the way and bashed open the door to the royal room. Looking around they noticed King Jerrod standing in front of his wife with a vibroblade drawn. Trinana held little Abaddon who was crying.

The armored terrorist threw in a gas grenade into room which released a purple smoke. Within seconds the room was full of the smoke, and two thuds were heard as bodies of the royal family hit the ground. The two terrorist walked into the smoke and collected the family, They headed to the throne room were the other two groups were also to meet after they secured their objectives.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

Karite had been traveling back and forth as a escort fighter to make things go by nice and smoothly. Him and Reth had most recently ended up on Zeltron from their most recent venture. Karite was currently following Reth through the streets of Zeltron they had just gotten out of a Dinner and were headed past the Palace which seemed to be busy this night.

"Seems like the Zeltrons sure know how to party here...." said Karite as he walked around, there was almost a constant barrage on his emotions where ever he went. "Yeah, Zeltron's can influence your mood quite a bit." replied Reth his Wingman.

As they went by an allyway Karite glanced at some suspicious looking men heavily armed all wearing the same insignia, but he strugged it off until a few moments later a crack range through the night. Karite ducked low hiding behind a few parked cruisers. Looking over Reth had done the same.

"What the hell was that...?" asked Karite as he looked around, and then a second crack went off and he heard a body fall and hit cement off in the distance. "Sounds like some serious bussiness." said Reth as he looked up as the men headed into the palace, past the gate. "There going for the palace... now would be a very good time to get out of here."

"The palace? That doesn't sound good. I'll follow them, you go get some help, and Fast." said Karite as he hoped the speeder and began to follow at a distance as Reth headed off down the dark streets which zigzagged towards help. The men's frenzy of shooting consumed most of their attention so it wasn't too hard to sneak behind them. Karite had decided to go along the back wall to keep hidden from any snipers that still may have been hidden as he snuck into the palace.

As he tracked down the hallways he ended up following two of the men. They had battled some guards to get here, and Karite drew his lightsaber form his belt and followed them down to a double doorway. As he came to a pillar he stopped not 10 feet from them as he tried to slow his breath and heart.

He glanced around the pillar down the hallway and saw them looking at eachother, one gave a nod while the other one came forward towards the door. The second one drew a grenade, and it was now that Karite acted without thinking, he booked straight towards the two men, grabbed the man's arm before he threw as the door opened up.

"What the..." he said for he hadn't expected someone to grab his arm so suddenly and then almost as quickly as he had said that Karite had shot a disruptor bolt straight into the chest of the man opening the door who fell backwards through the doorway alerting the Republic Diplomats.

"They're here to kill you!" shouted Karite just in time before he got elbowed to the face sliding backwards but managing to keep the grenade with him. His nose was bleeding form the heavy metal suit that had managed to hit him. This sight caused a random stir of fright, panic and action. A few of the men came forward to help but most cowards back in a corner, while others tried escaping out the window.

Karite returned to his feet, having but a few moments to regain his balance as a pointed blaster came in his direction. As luck would have it one of the brave diplomats got to the man first hitting the man's arm out of the way, however it didn't take long for him to be dispatched by the man's martial skills. Karite came forward activating his lightsaber and slashed right across the man's neck severing his head from his shoulders.

Karite panted from the after shock of the killing. He had flashes back to his friend on Tishi. The look of his dead friend's body as he hit the ground in a sickening crunch because of a flying compitition they had decided to have one day. In a daring move he had decided to do a dive and try and pull up at the last second, His friend trying to mimic the move had plommeled straight into the sheer rocks at the bottom of the cliff crushing some of his body.

A hand touched his shoulder and he was surprized to see a diplomat, for he had completely forgotten were he was. "It's alright you were defending yourself.' said the man, and that seemed to break Karite's transe. Snapping out of it he kneeled down towards the body and started to undo the body.

"You need to get out of here before they realise these two haven't reported back yet... I don't know if you guys were their primary target, but help should be on the way..." said Karite as he suited up in the man's suit. He took the helmet as the skull fell out he almost vomited physically, but he managed to put it on and contiune on down. He would pose as one of them for now. Collecting the weapons on the body he headed out in the direction of the center of the palace.....

Elsewhere it had been over 15 minutes or so, and Reth was currently at a station were they were just now starting to believe him about an attack on the palace. No one was answering calls or any type of communication and teams were finally being dispatched towards the palace. Unbeknownst to them all however was a small nuke nearby.....

Karite finally reached the throne room and saw others suited just like him, he wondered why they were doing this but for now he had to pose as one of them. His heart was pounding, he felt like he was living in a fairy tail right now.... a very deadly one that could end bad for him.

One terrorist was working at the private HoloNet communication. He had a datapad which was plugged into it. Meanwhile the other terrorist had was watching the prisoners and providing cover for the other terrorist. It only took a minute to access the HoloNet transmit their message over a majority of the channels.

~A Older man wearing a business suit came on over the HoloNet. Behind him were two soldiers in the same power armor as the attackers which had just stormed the Zeltron Palace. “We are the People for True Independence. Our group has been oppressed by the Republic, fearing that our ways well sway those who want true freedom. The Galactic Republic Navy has five fleets are used to insure that planets do not rebel. We have twenty planets which already wise to leave the Republic, but cannot because of military pressure. So this is the People for True Independence hereby declare war on the Republic, our attacks well be against the government of the Republic. We well no longer be silenced.” The HoloNet transmission ended.~

Meanwhile the four men that cleared out the guard’s barracks finished quickly thanks to the strength of their armor. On the way back towards the main room they noticed the Diplomats running towards the exit. They quickly formed up and raised their heavy blasters towards the fleeing enemy. A few seconds of fire and the twenty diplomats were lying dead in the Palace courtyard. One of the men got over the Radio, “We have been compromised. Initiate Protocol Clean-Up.”

Back in the throne room the two terrorist open fire on the royal family, killing them in case someone was trying to rescue them. They showed no mercy, shooting both the baby that was a year old along as they old Zeltron holding it.

The Sniper was bringing in a small nuclear device through the main gate. The four terrorist that killed off the diplomats formed up around the bomb. They moved it into the center of the courtyard and looked around. They knew this had the possibility of a one way mission and set up the bomb. The sniper pulled out a small detonator device and pushed the button on top.

The small nuke exploded into an orange mushroom cloud extended into the Zeltron night sky. The electromagnetic pulse extended outwards from the blast knocking out all the power in the city. The only light was that from the exposition of the nuke.

[Zilfer Of Shadows...]

Karite came into the room with the man and guarded the enterance not saying anything. He listened to the speach and then snuck out the back. His communicator came on, and he answered it quickly in the shadows.

"Karite... Karite!!" came Reth's voice, and Karite pulled his helmet off and held it to his ear. "Calm down Reth, I think I may be able to take 3 of them before they notice me." started Karite but he was interupted by Reth. "No you need to get out of here now, they had been ignoring these threats before, they say there is the possiblity of a nuke. I'm heading to your position in my fighter now, use your Cable and grab on as soon as you can. You have less then thirty seconds to get out." said Reth, and Karite silently cursed before saying "Roger."

Karite ran down the hallway and burst through a window down to the outside courtyard. He saw men forming up around a device. "Oh shit..." said Karite as he heard a fighter heading his way. He turned pulling out his cable launcher, and snapped it around one of the wings of Reth's X-83 and was pulled off into the air by the speed, it hurt his waist as he flew through the air into the night. He wasn't liking the pain, but as a huge explosion went off in the background he was glad he wasn't there.....

Karite remembered something Jor had told him.... it was time to go visit the Union....
