Which Jedi Order is better the old one in the Old Republic or the new one led by Luke Skywalker. Better as better rules, jedis, stories etc.

your going to have to be a lot more specific because both Orders are virtually identical. The old jedi order encompasses a very long time, and in that very long time the order was rebuilt, from the ground up several times. During those times the two would seem nearly exactly the same.
Personally, i like the New Jedi order, simply because it's post Episode VI and thats the period that has all the best characters who've had the most character development since they're the characters that have been written about for the past 30 years.
The old jedi order doesn't have nearly as much literature, aside from some comic books and video games, neither of which are very good at accurately describing the worlds they take place on, or the characters within them.

There is a difference to the two for example the old Jedi order are forbidden to marry but in the new one they can like Luke. there were periods during the old jedi order where the jedi were allowed to love others and get married, especially during the periods when the Jedi were rebuilding after one of the umpteen times it was nearly wiped out. Lukes, New order was following the regular pattern the Jedi order has followed since it's inception. After a while it become stagnant, needless rules are implemented to keep people from going to the dark side but the rules only succeed in alienating some students who then betray the order, kill everyone and the Jedi are forced to start over.

So the rules vary over time. Who decides this, the jedi council?

Personally I like the Old Jedi Order more for the simple fact that less is known about it and more can be left to your own speculation. I do enjoy reading the New Jedi order stuff though, well actually I enjoy reading anything Star wars but that's beside the point. But I love engaging in speculations about the history of Star Wars which is why the Old Republic and basically anything before the Phantom Menace intrigues me.

The old jedi order for it always seems that big events always happened in the past. XD
Mik is right about the order being very closely the same, though I do not know if it would be exactly the same.
*somehow reminds him of playing star wars jedi academy*

I have to agree with Zilfer and Mik although you could also say that the future has some pretty big events that are just waiting to unfold
In my case, you never really know what has or will happen until it does
From the information that is given, i like the new order because there is more of a justice and righteousness that i feel is greatly needed.....also i just like the whole honor bit.....
(hums to himself while cleaning his vibroblade named Honor......)

They both had honor Ragnvaldr, and they both lived by the same principles for the most part.
