It was a long two and half hours to get to the Hoth system. Angel had spent the time doing mathematical calculations and recording the results on a datapad. It was working out cell and genetic decay for her current project. She put away the datapad when they exited hyperspace.
Angel turned around to Jor. "Okay Jor, where is this ghost ship of yours." Angel voice had a hint of excitement. She could jumpstart her own biotechnological research by years should this ship have even a fraction of the biotechnology the Yuuzhan Vong had created.

Kayen looked up from the floor of the ship slowly but he didn't say anything. He didn't know what they were even here for, but he was here with them. He waited to hear more.

"Thats the fun part. The thing is huge but it was on an expanding orbit around the system. it'd have moved into the Hoth systems extensive asteroid belt by now and pulverized into smaller chunks." Jor said.
"Whatever was within them is probably dead but i wouldn't be surprized if life remained on some of the larger pieces. some of the very bio technology we're after has probably flourished in the areas that haven't been exposed to space." Jor finished.
"We're looking for large rocks, lighter in color then most of the other rocks with maybe life signs within it."

Kayen blinked. At least they weren't going to the surface. He turned his head to look out of the cockpit window, still quiet. Truthfully he was trying hard not to stare at Angel. Jor could probably sense his attraction to her even though he knew she was a droid.

Angel took a deep breath; even though she did not breathe. She had learned that suddenly things like this spoke volumes. "Easier said than done. 'Odball' take use to sector five, zone twenty three, elevation zero." As the pilot moved the ship to the location that was about four fifths of tthe way to the asteroid field. As they did Angel started working on the sensor systems. She was writing a small program and uploading it. Once she did she pushed a button and tested the system.
An image showed not a picture of the location, but a bunch of numbers. They were all very close, so Angel knew it was working. "Okay 'Odball'. Take use on flight path around the asteriod field." As 'Odball' started flying Angel plugged directly into the computer. What she had done was turn the ship imaging system into a large scale reflection indexing system. This allowed her to quickly spot areas which were significantly lighter then the base line which she had already set up.
They flew in an orbit, coving around a third of the asteroid field when Angel finally spoke. "Stop. Head for these coordinates." Angel punched in the coordinates of a massive collection rock reflecting more like then the average. As they slowly approached it was easy to see it was a large portion of the ship. Angel calculated that it was roughly the same size as a Bulk Transport. “Will, I think we got ourselves a large section. I am open to suggestion.” Angel was waiting for Jor to make a suggestion; he was the Yuuzhan Vong expert.

Jor closed his eyes. "I don't sense any life on it but that doesn't really mean anything. It looks like Yorik Coral, or it could just be an anomaly of rock floating in the mist here. Can you do a deep scan of the thing to look for tunnels or corridors within it. Life signs, movement, that kind of thing?"

Kayen couldn't sense anything right now but he kept thinking about his vision and he decided to tell them now. He looked up to Jor and then he stood up slowly. "Something is alive but it's... I don't know what it is. Jor I had another vision. There's something dangerous in there...."

"Kayen, i'm still not fully convinced the first "vision" you saw was really a vision at all. Stick with what you know. The force is useful but its always... flowy. I find it's better to take the visions for what they are, what ifs. Trust in facts you get from evidence." Jor said.
He looked through the viewport at the surface of the object. He'd never been able to sense yuuzhan vong, no jedi had, but he started to feel something very feint on that rock. he wasn't sure what or where it was but he didn't like it.

Angel switched the sensors to pick up energy and heat readings along with life signs. She started the scan, but they were useless. "The whole thing is reading as a life sign. My guess is that enough of the inner haul has survived to make a detail scan worthless." She then turned to 'Odball'. "Take us to the other side of the ship. There is a fairly large hole to on the starboard section." She then rotated over to Kayen and Jor. "You to better get into EV suits, the outer layers have no oxygen and I am not sure if it is their will be any oxygen or pressure on the ship." She planned to have 'Odball' stay on the ship while they go inside. The shuttle slowly rotated around the large section until it found the point which looked like the rest of the ship had been blown away from. Odball carefully negotiated the smaller chunks of coral as he set the ship down at on an edge which projected from the ship and seem to go deep into the heart of the section. She stood up and walked over to the hatch. She put on her flight suit while Kayen and Jor got ready. It was a heated suit which keeps her gel from freezing and keeps her components warm. This was not necessary, but it makes her operate more efficiently. What was strange looking was that she did not have a helmet on, sense the gel of the rest of her body would heat her head.

"Ok, well thats a confirmation that it's a yuuzhan vong object." He said turning for the passenger cabin. Passing kayen on the way out of the cockpit he said "looks like we get to go for a walk outside."
He opened one of the overhead compartments and pulled out an EV suit and stepped into the jumpsuit. "Life sign sensors are useless, the force is useless. I'm guessing motion sensors will be useless since the whole chunk is somehow still pumping fluids to it's organs."
Putting his helmet on he said to himself. "This should be fun."

Kayen got into an environmental suit and then he quickly opened the storage lockers in the ship and found a blaster rifle. Whatever he had sensed was real enough to him to warrant caution. He looked at Jor and held a rifle out to him. "Just in case... that is what I know best....." and then he pulled on the helmet.

Angel shook her head. "Do not shot everything that moves. We are here to collect samples; not kill them." After saying that Angel walked over to the council and vented into the storage tank and Angel open the ships hatched. She looked into the ship and realizes she did not have any way to travel in the ship. She grabbed a small thruster pack along with anchoring equipment that would make working in zero g much easier. She then grabbed onto the edges of the Dragoons hatch and pushed herself into space.
Angel slowly floated down the corridor that 'Odball' parked the ship in. She was not sure how deep it would go, but she floated down it for two meters before hitting a corner. Here she stopped herself, grabbing onto part of the coral which was sticking out. She then tapped into the radios of Kayen and Jor. "It looks like the there is a closed down at the other end of this corridor. On the Dragoon is a foam seal in a sprayer. Grab it so we can seal this corridor and we can the door." Angel did not want to vent atmosphere is any was still in the seal section of the ship. This could damage specimen; if any were alive.

Jor grabbed a grapple gun himself and waved off Kayen's rifle. "i have my pistol, i'll be fine."
With that he followed Angel out the hatch and into the zero gravity of space. that first instant of the loss of gravity always played hell on his stomach, but it subsided quickly. He floated down the hallway after angel to the seal. The thick skinlike membrane pulsed slightly under the light from Jor's shoulder lamp.
"Hang on." He said as he touched the door lightly with his hand. Memories returned to him of running through a darkened corridor like the one they were in now, nearly naked and injured. Mezan Lah was born on this worldship. the ghosts of Jors past floated aimlessly around the coral hallways of this ship.
Jor caressed the membrane lightly around it's edge. the door quivered slightly and then opened, spreading outward from it's center like a flower opening fleshy pedals. No air rushed out, there was no pressure difference. A few meters down he saw another fleshy door, still closed, this one sucked slightly outward and stiff showing signs of pressure pushing on the other side of it. "Huh... bulkhead door. Like on our ships except all nasty looking and alive. We can use it as an airlock."

Kayen followed Jor slowly, his blue eyes darting around nervously as he floated along using his hands to guide him. At least his training had included Zero Gravity Combat, so he didn't get sick. He kept the blaster rifle strapped to his shoulders as he moved through the first door and then he muttered into his radio. "That was ugly... looked like a really old vagina....." he chuckled slightly trying to forget his vision as he moved up next to Jor.

"Trust me, not the grossest thing the Yuuzhan Vong has come up with. Spend some time with a Gnullith in your mouth and we'll talk about ugly." Jor commented as he slipped through the doorway.
He pointed up towards the other door at the end of the hallway. "Kayen, head up there and wait by the door, tell me if you start feeling any gravity."
