Kayen nodded and he moved over to the other door and he floated there, waiting with his blaster rifle in his hand.

Angel floated through the bulkhead door and stopped next to Jor. "That works also." Angel looked around and listen to Kayen complain about the bulkhead door and could not help herself, "You would know, that is all you can get." Angel just floated next to Jor, waiting for him to open the secondary door, but did not expect gravity. She did not know if there Dovin Basal's would allowed the ship to drift into this asteroid field or surviving the ship be pounded of being in the asteroid field for so many years.

Jor closed the first fleshy door by rubbing it's edges ever so slightly like he had done on the first door. It closed shut, like a sideways eyelid. Jor had no doubt that were they in atmosphere it would make quite a nasty sound.
He floated down the hallway past Angel and Kayen again to the second door and gripped tightly onto an outcropping. "Yall might want to hang onto something." He said as he reached up to stimulate the door's edges.
It opened and a rush of air blasted into the section of hallway they were in blasting Jor back. He held tightly and maintained his position though.
Peering through the door once the corridor's atmpshpere stabilized he could see the luminous lichen used by the Yuuzhan Vong to light their ships had grown unchecked. The entire corridor was covered in the brightly lit, glowing, fungus like material bathing the corridors in a soft glow.
In addition to the lichen, there were obstacles floating in center of the corridor every now and then. Floating masses which Jor immediately recognized as bodies. skeletal like forms still wrapped in dried out skin and encased in dead crab armor.

Kayen held onto an outgrown hunk of the hull as the door opened and then he adjusted quickly and followed Jor. He ignored Angel's comment too. As he moved down the corridor, Kayen pushed one of the bodies away gently. "Gross...."

Jor examined one of the bodies up close. "This one died from combat. Laceration across the neck, probably from an amphistaff"
He floated over to another body and examined it. "This one died from head trauma. Two strikes to the head... maybe three. second one was the fatal one though."
He glanced down the hallway, at the many bodies floating lifelessly. "It's common for Yuuzhan Vong to fight amongst themselves in the absence of an enemy. With the worldship floating around with nowhere to go they would have been driven mad by their need for war without the promise of an opponent."
Angel floated up next to Jor and withdrew a small knife. reaching within the collar of one of the bodie's armor she took a few scraping of the crab armors interior, which was softer and more prone to damage. She placed the scrapings in a sample container and clipped it to her belt.
"Might i suggest we move further in to see what else we can find." Angel said, indicating the long hallway in which they floated.
"Right, Angel, would you and your sonic motion detection thingamajig please take point." Jor said.
Angel nodded and floated down the hallway first. Jor turned to Kayen. "So Junior, any more boogiemen flash before your eyes? Or are we safe?" He said launching himself down the hallway after Angel.

They were, in point of fact, not safe.
As the trio moved down the well lit corridor and passed the dead bodies there were a pair of eyes watching them. Around, and amongst them, Mr. Blue examined them.
He'd been trapped here for months, his ship was damaged by the asteroids while here looking for more Yuuzhan Vong specimens. He'd repaired the damage but without the navigational data for his computers he'd be flying nearly blind in a area filled with giant floating rocks.
With the arrival of these newcomers however, brought new hope. He would be able to use the sensor data recorded from his ship to follow their dragoon's path in. Not as safe as he'd like, but he was much overdo for reporting back to his master.
His suit's camouflage system kept him hidden perfectly as long as he stood still. The android with them complicated matters but he could hear the ultrasonic pulses she emitted and had to hold tightly to the walls, flattening himself out against the uneven rocky outcroppings and emit his own ultrasonic sound cancellation waves to better hide himself.
As they made they're way down the corridor Mr. Blue lunged down one of the corridors offshoots. He'd been here for months, he knew his way around already and was prepared to use his knowledge to his full advantage.

Kayen didn't answer Jor but he was still very much alert. That earlier vision had him worried enough. He followed Jor and looked around, his eyes actually locking on the invisible figure for a few seconds but he didn't see anything. He turned and tried to stay close to Jor, keeping his hand on his blaster just in case.

Jor opened another door, this one giving another puff of air as it opened. The sensors inside Jor's helmet told him that the atmosphere was becoming better suited for them. "looks like we'll be getting some fresh air here in a bit. Maybe if we open enough of these doors we can find enough oxygen to take these helmets off."
A cluster of thud bugs scurried across the corridor going from one small opening to another. Angel's fast reflexes allowed her to reach out at catch one though. The bug's had been living on their own within the ship for the past few years. They had learned to abandon their trained and inbred behaviors to survive. Angel was confident she could replace their original behavior. Along with the bug she scooped up a generous portion of the bio-luminescent lichen. "This place is a gold mine."
Jor smiled. "Oh yeah? You going to be growing ships from now on?"
In the distance, Mr. Blue watched them. They were drawing closer to his trap. He'd been listening to their short wave radio. Voice print confirmed, one of them was Jor Halcyon. Mr. Blue's master would be very pleased with that. His master had been looking for the Halcyon since the Masters prize was destroyed last year.
He flexed his legs and lunged down another hallway. He needed finish his trap.

Kayen stayed back a little ways but he followed Jor nonetheless. He had no idea what told him to stay back a little bit, but he had learned recently to trust his instincts and he was...

Jor opened yet another fleshy door and a stream of blaze bugs shot out at his face. He startled and flailed as the glowing insects danced around his helmet. a brief period of claustrophobia set in and he struck the roof of the corridor bouncing him hard back down against the floor.
He managed to catch himself and steadied himself with his arms. "God damn bugs. Careful opening doors."
The bugs flew down the hallway and left them alone. Looking into the new passageway was something different. It was more humid, dead amphistaff's hung from the walls, their polyps all shriveled and decaying. Angel grabbed one of the snake like creatures, wound up it's lifeless body and put it in one of her larger containers which hung from her backpack.
Jor looked at his atmosphere readouts and saw the nitrogen and oxygen level spike. He unclasped the lock on his helmet and lifted the visor. He immediately felt the pungent stink of death his nostrils. "Well, looks like more fun there Kayen. You ever wade through 3 feet of rotting flesh and weird chemicals before?"

Kayen looked around and then he pulled off his own helmet slowly and hooked it to a cord hanging from the back. The smell made Kayen sick to his stomach but he quickly shook it off as he followed Jor, muttering "Disgusting... I hope I never see another Vong ship in my life!" He was a few meters behind Jor.

The Mezan Lah in him took great offense at that comment and Jor's first urge was to lay Kayen out for speaking his heresy. Jor quelled the urge though. Lah was becoming stronger here. The remnants of his personality were surfacing from it's long repression in the depths of Jor's psyche.
Jor shook aside the Yuuzhan Vong in him and smiled. "your just saying that cus it's dead. If the ship were living it wouldn't near as disgusting.... No i take it back, it'd be disgusting, just in a different, living sorta way."
Jor floated down the hall and moved a rotted corpse out of his way. "Besides, Yuuzhan Vong ships won't be the only times you see something like this." Jor continued. "As a force user you'll go through a lot of things like this. I remember, a long time ago when i was in CoreSec i tracked down a serial killer to his home. His basement had his victimes had been nailed to the wall with a nail gun and their guts had been cut out and spilled all over the stone floor. Do you have any idea how many nails it takes to keep a body pinned to a wall for a long period of time?"
Jor tried to push the memory out of his head but it resisted. "Burning bones and entrails are something you'll run into a lot in your chosen profession."

Kayen blinked and then he shook his head quickly trying to get that new image out of his head as he followed Jor, accidentally coming face to face with a floating corpse and nearly screaming. Kayen growled and shoved the body out of his way as he tried to shake off his fear of it.

This corridor was much darker compared to the ones they were in before. other life had accumulated on the walls which didn't allow the glowing lichen to propagate. Angel was having a grand old time by herself, taking samples of all kinds of creatures that had begun to live free or had died within the ship.
Jor found yet another yuuzhan vong body, this one stuck against the wall by some sort of resin. "Thats weird." Jor said approaching the body and examining it. "This fella was killed by blaster fire. heavy blaster pistol i think, medium range. three to the chest. he wasn't wearing armor so it fried him. Whats left of his body doesn't show much scarring and while his tattoos are extensive they aren't as extensive as many warriors i've seen. I'd say he was young, probably one of the last to die judging by the state of decomposition."
Jor leaned in to examine on of the blaster wounds. "looks like somebody hollowed him out. there's a whole in here for something foreign."

Kayen moved closer to Jor to look at the hole in the chest of the dead Vong curiously. He shrugged and then he stepped back slowly. To him, it wouldn't matter how it was killed or why. He turned away from Jor and looked around, cautiously and nervously still.
