Welcome to the Special Mission board. Before you get started there are a few basic things you will need to know about how the role plays here work. First, things that are the same...
1. No God Modding! Do not control anyone else's character without permission. Do not do anything beyond the reasonable limits of your character's power. Do not use items, feats or powers you don't have.
2. As it pertains to killing someone else's character. In the special missions every participant is given stats. These stats determine what you can and cannot do in a combat situation. You are allowed to kill someone else's character as long as you have given them a chance to defend themselves and/or it has become impossible for them to defend against your attack. Around here we call this the "right to defend" rule. Remember that no matter what your opponent posts before you, you always have the right to try and defend yourself so long as you can reasonably do so. If there is a dispute over this then please consult an Admin for assistance. Once a character dies that character is dead.
3. In the special missions you ARE NOT, I repeat, ARE NOT allowed to delete or modify what you have posted once someone has posted after you. You can't change the past in real life, and you can't change it here. What's done is done. You may change spelling errors and things of this sort, but nothing specific about your actions.
Now what's different from the main RP...
1. Every mission will require an admin to act as a DM (Dungeon Master). The admin will post at least once per page to keep the story moving in roughly in the right direction and to control certain elements of the story. No mission can be completed without an admin. A mission is only completed once the admin decides it is.
2. There is no XP in the special missions, the stats for the player characters are set. A basic description of each character's history and range of abilities will be given but for more detailed information do not be afraid to ask an admin.
3. You are allowed to create as many NPC's as you want for special missions, but like in the regular RP their ability to participate in battles will depend on all other members approval first. Every participant must control at least one of the player characters in order to receive a prize at the end of the RP.
4. As it pertains to the prizes, there are no winners or losers. No matter what the outcome, all participants will receive the prize for the mission.
All missions will be worth 1,000 XP upon completion.
