Bones looked out of the window of a temporary apartment he was renting, and out into the busy city of Iziz. This place was a bit odd for him, he wasn't sure if he liked the idea of there being a royal family and security could be a bit tight in some places. Thus far he had come here, bought a place to keep his X-wing, gotten an apartment, stocked up on some food. Now he was taking care of a girl he knew now to be named Rin. She used to be a jedi, and had a fucked up past. Thus far since the incident at the temple, she never seemed to be aware of what was happening. She would eat, and slowly at that, but she looked like she hadn't had a decent meal in ages. Her body was thin, way to thin. Bones was surprised he hadn't broken her in half when setting her on the bed.
He went back to looking out the window and sighed. He didn't know quite how he was going to restore her to functioning but he figured he was going to have to do it slowly over time, and human interaction. At least she was eating, it would have been a whole lot worse had see not ate anything he gave her. Some how he had found out he had cooking skills he didn't know about. Still it seemed the the Empire hadn't sent anyone after him, which he considered a good thing. Maybe that Elifain guy hadn't been such a bad guy after all. Either way he didn't plan on going to meet any Imperial commanders, or soldiers for a long while to come. The further away from them the better, thought Bones.

Bones had for the next few days picked up a job of maintaining security at different events from clubs, to social meetings, and a few other things. He actually served as someone to prevent a riot for a few days as well. Each day he would return and find Rin staring out the window. The lapse of emotion it appeared was somewhat of a fluke.
"Looks like I survived another day in this crazy city." said Bones as he came up and looked out the window trying to see if she was staring at anything in particular however there was nothing that he could tell that she was focusing on. He figured it wouldn't hurt to keep talking to her as if she could hear him. "What are you looking at out there? Anything interesting?"
As usual there was no response however he ignored the uncomfortable silence by continuing to talk. "It must be a unique sight if it holds your attention this long. I think the only thing that could hold my attention for that long would be a Star-Dragon."
Bones went about starting cooking, and by the time he finished the sun was setting towards the outskirts of Iziz. He waited for the beautiful sunset to go down before bringing Rin over to the table, Bones cooking was getting better by the night. He had managed to talk with a few of the more exquisite cooks of the city while looking around for work. The food had cooled enough to eat, and sat Rin down before slowly eating his food. Silence at every mean from Rin and Bones would attempt to converse with himself about the day, little stories that he did not care about but just wanted to have noise. If he kept the silence, something told him that he wouldn't ever get Rin to come out of it.
After Dinner was finished he would set Rin to sleep, she was actually starting to gather her figure back. Bones however still thought she looked far to frail and would watch her sleep for a small amount of time before throwing a mat onto the floor for himself to sleep....

Bones was getting a steady flow of income finally, and he came to the apartment like usual. Rin had started to move around and look through things, which he took as a sign of her getting better. Or so he hoped. He now had started locking the doors and window's so Rin wouldn't go anywhere without him knowing. He didn't keep her pent in however every once in awhile he would attempt to get her to go somewhere with him, be it a park or just a walk around the town. She shied away from Twi'leks for some reason, and bones couldn't put his finger on why.
They passed a stall selling animal bones, for a festival coming up and that's when Bones would remember yet another piece of his past. Rin gave out a scream backing away from the stall which surprised Bones so much at the suddenness of it, that he fell forward crushing one of the skulls. The man angrily made bones pay which he did before rushing over to Rin and trying to comfort her. She was whimpering softly still backing up from the broken pieces of bones. That's when he looked towards the scattered pile of bones.
"What is it? Are you afraid of them?" asked Bones as he noticed one of the larger pieces where a humanoid's face bones where.
Flash!
He saw a black figure emerged from the shadow next to a black robed boy with Red hair. He bore a skull mask on his face with Red markings making it seem as if blood was dripping from his eyes, or that he was crying blood. The words 'Lord Nanashi' he could hear and then he was on his back, the man shrouded in dark garments and a skull mask above him putting a hand over him, and then bright lightning flashed and then..... nothing...
Bones sat there for a moment before turnning back to Rin and picking her up. 'She must know the same person... he must be the one who did this to her. Well whoever he is, if I run into him he'll regret it,' thought Bones making his way back to the apartment. It took awhile for him to calm her down, but in the end she finally calmed down with him holding her light body on the bed. She had fallen asleep, and Bones went to put a blanket over her before going to the window seal and looking out into the moonlight night. 'Who would do a thing like this...' Bones sure hopped, no one like who he was.

Bones came back to the house in his armor and disarmed as usual before going to check on Rin. She was watching him today, which was a bit unusual for she had been more curious about other things then actual people.
"Well hello, how are you today, Rin?" asked Bones observing her reaction. Her body was gaining back her figure, and Bones was beginning to notice that she had a nice body, however he found he wasn't attracted to this lost girl for that reason alone. Her eyes were what captivated him the most of all of her. Her hair was finally soft and smooth after Bones had gotten her to take showers on a regular basis without his help. She still wouldn't talk, but he was surprised today.
"Hello...." came her shy and low reply. Bones had to stop himself for a second to realize that hadn't been in his head. His head shot back to Rin who flinched slightly at his returning gaze.
"You can talk?" asked Bones who after thinking about it felt it was a stupid question. Why wouldn't she be able to talk, it was like asking if you could breathe. Rin nodded slowly and continued to watch Bones. It looked like this was the first time she had chosen to come out of whatever shell she had put up to defend herself from feeling. Bones came up to her sitting on his heels before the chair she was sitting upon and was careful not to make any sudden movements. "Your name is Rin right?"
"Yes, my name is Rin... or at least that's the name I was given..." she responded still a bit shaky now that Bones had approached and was close to her. It saddened him more then a little bit perhaps she wasn't used to people being in such a close proximity without her protective shell. He put a hand on hers and gripped it tightly.
"I'm not here to hurt you. I promise no one will hurt you again." said Bones wishing she would make eye contact now. Rin looked off to the side and down at the floor. "That's what they said..."
"Who said?" Asked Bones pondering what she was talking about.
"The Jedi.... but they were wrong. My masters were too powerful for them, and he.... hunted them." said Rin. That confirmed to Bones that she had indeed been a Jedi before this incident. What had happened to the Jedi temple? These master fellows didn't seem like the nicest of people.
"You know me don't you.... Please tell me. I cannot remember my past." said Bones a bit desperate. Her head turned to regard him for a moment and then spoke in a solemn tone.
"You were once a Jedi, and a Sith."
Bones head was sent spinning, he had been a Jedi? and a Sith? Which had he been last? Why had he been a Sith? If he had been either one of those why couldn't he remember? Why couldn't he use this force that they often claimed to wield. Forcing his million questions aside he forced himself to ask the question that had been gnawing on him the whole time.
"What happened to the Jedi temple? What happened to you?" asked Bones. Rin seemed to think for a moment as if trying to remember, and then she gripped her head with both her hands as if fighting off the memories. She saw flashes of the one who had controlled her like a puppet.
"Get out of my head!" Rin screamed as a massive force wave rocked the room propelling everything near her back against the walls and a poorly positioned Bones straight through a window and over the balcony as all the windows of the apartment shattered. Bones fell from three stories up down onto a spiked fence.....

Rin ran, not sure exactly where she was going for her eyes where half closed most of the time and watery. She ran for fear of murder, and being found by her masters. She hadn't meant to kill Jik but she kept running through the streets. As she became more and more exhausted she began to cry more and more. As she turned a corner she ran face first into something hard, and looked up to see Jik standing there.
"Your not real. I killed you." said Rin who fiercely hit Jik over and over in the chest trying to get rid of what she thought was another trick of her mind. "Your not real...."
Bones grasped her close so she couldn't hit him very hard much more, and because he suspected she was going to collapse soon. He had managed to catch up with her, he hadn't bothered to go get his armor and the cloth he was wearing had a big hole where he had gotten punctured through.
"No one's going to hurt you I said. I won't let anyone, and you didn't kill me." said Bones showing Rin the hole in his shirt and his skin was perfect as if nothing had happened. Bones smirked for a moment. "You'll find I'm a bit harder to kill then that."
Surprisingly Rin didn't pull away as he thought she would and instead allowed him to hold her. "How can I trust you... You were a Sith." asked Rin quietly collapsing into his arms.
"I don't remember any of that, I've only seen brief flashes. Out of all it I knew I had met you before. So you see... I'm not the same person I was." said Bones softly as he picked her up off her feet to carry her home. She didn't look like she was in the condition to walk. Rin was quiet for most of the way to the apartment before surprising him with another insight of what had happened to her.
"How can I trust any man, none of them have ever done any good for me..." said Rin, leaving Bones at a loss of what to say for a good while, until he laid her on the bed pulling the blankets over her.
"I cannot promise what others do, but I can promise that I will never hurt you." said Bones wondering if she would eventually trust him or if this was a barrier that would forever separate them. She rolled over slowly not saying anything and facing the wall. Bones sighed softly for a moment before heading over to the broken windows and looking out them. A slight breeze was blowing as the sun was beginning to set. He still had no idea what he was going to do with this life of his, and what if Rin's masters came looking for her...? He answered his own question with a bit of determination. 'I'll kill them.'

Bones woke up on the floor looking up to the ceiling, he had nothing planned for today, and it was his day off. That's when he caught the smell of something. Food. 'Why do I smell food?' Bones looked up and saw Rin was putting a plate down at the table and then sat down and started to eat herself. Bones looked at her questioningly as she stopped him awake.
"Figured you enjoy a bit of breakfast when you woke up." said Rin shrugging and going back to her meal. Bones stood up throwing his spare blanket into a nearby chair and walked over to the table. He looked down to see she had cooked the food pretty well. He sat down and tried, it. He smirked for a moment as he could tell she was watching his reaction to it. In truth the food was good, not over cooked or under cooked.
"It's good. Do the Jedi teach people how to cook?" asked Bones a bit curiously, as he continued to eat. "No, but somehow I just knew what to do." replied Rin finishing her meal before him. It looked like she was eating regularly, that was a good thing.
'Maybe she learned to cook from me by watching...' thought Bones before he finished his last bite and started to get up to put the plates away but Rin stopped him.
"Wait, let me do it." Bones was about to protest but then he noticed the movement of the plates as they began to pick themselves up and slowly float over to the sink. "So that must be the force."
"Yes, and I had a question for you..." said Rin looking at him, and she let him wonder for a moment what the question was. "You don't remember how to use the force do you, Jik?"
The word Jik echoed in his brain. The word vaguely familiar as it coming home from a far away place. The home however looked different and wasn't how one exactly remembered it. Jik.... That had to have been his name. Not 109K or Bones but Jik.
"No... I don't remember anything but bits and pieces. I thought you would know me. I found you, but I still don't know who I am." came Jik's delayed response. It seemed Rin opened up more and more by the minute and he hoped he was right.
"I don't think you'll ever find the answer's your looking for Jik, who you were then is not who you are now. I remember you being more secluded and a loner then you are now. I don't think your the same Jik I knew from back then." said Rin and she glanced over at one of the papers sitting on the table. It was a letter addressed to 'Bones' which Rin had figured out what they called Jik. "Definitely not the same. Is there any reason why you go by the name of Bones now? Besides being a bone head? Or is it because of your special ability."
It struck Jik that this was the first time he had ever seen her smile. She looked pretty with her green eyes vibrant as always. He noticed she had put her brown hair back into a pony tail now, that hung around her neck to the front.
"Nope, no reason... I just picked it up, and it seemed to fit." said Bones.

"You said I was a Sith? And a Jedi? I find that hard to believe for I do not remember anything of this so called force." said Bones tilting his head to one side and looking back over at where the dish had magically floated across the room. He was half tempted to try and reach out and will something to his hand however he felt any attempt of the sort would be absurd and doomed to fail.
"You were, first I met you when you were a Sith.... you attacked the Jedi temple with a group of Sith. You killed many Jedi, and the after math of the attack left half the temple destroyed...." said Rin and he could tell the images where still fresh in her mind. Bones wished he could say he was sorry for it, but he couldn't find himself being sorry for something that he couldn't even remember.
"I'm sorry but I do not remember doing so. If I could I would take it back." said Bones attempting an apology however Rin shook her head slightly and looked up to him smiling softly.
"There's no need to do so," said Rin before explaining herself further. "I was taught to always seek salvation of your neighbors despite their sins. Besides you are not that person, and I hope you never will be again. As for the force..... well have you tried drawing from your connection?"
"Well no... I just assumed it was a fair tale by the Jedi to inspire mysticism in their enemies." said Bones as he looked over to a salt shaker. "I guess it couldn't hurt to give it a try...."
He reached a hand out for the salt shaker and tried to will it to his hand but after about five seconds nothing happened. Rin could see he was trying to force it, like anyone who didn't have knowledge of the force would try to do.
"Here, let me try and help you. The force isn't something you command, it's more of a partner relationship. So instead of trying to command it into your hand try suggesting it." said Rin as she cautiously reached out with her mind to Jik's and began to calm his mind and focus it on the moment. It took a few moments but the salt shaker flew to his hand and he grasped it.
"Did I...?" asked Bones in disbelief as he looked unbelieving down at the salt shaker. It was a curious thing, the feeling was.... familiar somehow. Yet his memory clearly was telling him that he had never done this before. "I was a fallen Jedi wasn't I..."
Rin was a bit surprised at the question, she hadn't realized that he had the order of what had happened mixed up. No, he had been a Sith before becoming a Jedi.
"No, you were a Sith before you became the apprentice of Drake Hellion. He was a Jedi knight in the order then, who knows what has happened to the rest of the Jedi.... he used me.... to hunt them down and as his disguise...." said Rin trailing off in her sentences. Bones saw her body physically shiver from the memories. Bones steeled himself against his emotions.
"Don't worry. As I said before, I won't let anything bad happen to you now." said Bones with a confident smirk meant to reassure her. "We can go looking for this Drake Hellion fellow since he was my old master perhaps he can tell me a few things."
"That's if he's still alive..." said Rin. She looked back at Bones only to see a more confident smirk. "Somehow I get the feeling people I've met have a rather peculiar feat of not dying. Come on, we'll leave by tomorrow, hopefully you don't mind a crowded cockpit...."
"I had wondered how you had got me here in only an X-wing." said Rin before Bones stood up and headed out of the house. He was heading to let his employers know that he was leaving the planet now, and he didn't expect to be back any time soon......

Bones managed to find a ship going to Nar Shadaa. The reason why is he had heard a peculiar rumor that the name Hellion was being mentioned around there. They had enough room for his X-wing fighter in the Medium cruiser and he was glad of it. It wasn't long before him and Rin where on their way to Nar Shadaa. Bones had a feeling this Hellion character since he was his master that he would be able to tell him a few things about his past, but then again Jedi almost never knew about their padawan's pasts too much. He could only hope to see what insights Drake hellion would have, about himself. He enjoyed having Rin along because now he didn't feel alone. In truth some how he had felt alone ever since escaping Mon Calamari.......
