Uhh... Mandalorian armor already has survived drops from space to planets... i dont even know why you would need a shield if you have beskar/phrik. The only reason i'd say for a shield is incase your being shot at. Just look at Canderous, he dropped from the sky on a Basilisk war droid ridin that puppy to the ground from space. So has Bermfad in his Mandalorian armor as well, that you call "low grade"

No it's sort of a Mandalorian tradition. They love the hardest fights, stuck in the thickest, and heaviest part of the battlefield and the Mando's are pumped. They've done plenty of Orbital drops in Mandalorian armor that Cain linked to which still is awsome armor, i dont know how it's 'low' profile since it has advanced hud technology, good sturdy armor that depending on the grade of blaster bolts flying at you could literally bounce off your armor. You may think lowly of Mandalorian armor but i dont

I like Mandalorian armor just fine, but many people are now starting to use it, well, at least to me. This is good assault armor, and it isn't quite as strong as how you people say it is now. I have been working on it, with Elifain's help, and it more assault armor now, some pretty fast armor, rather than hard hitting. [/sub]

first of all, this is the kind of suit you should be wearing. It isn't over powered, it can easily get excepted and guarantee it will be unique to all the other Mandalorians. images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/23000041/Images/8/5023-charcoal-suit1.jpgwith that out of the way, i have a few suggestions. first, the shields. just have one shield. oval shaped will ive you good protection and shield you from reentry. good enough. you don't need this craziness bout shields over the joints. Thats complicated and power consuming and ultimately pointless. One shield that protects the whole suit is simpler, and therefore better, than one shield with a bunch of smaller shields over the joints. Second is that you need to explain how it's resistant to EMP and Ion weapons better because i'm having a hard time understating it. How does a second copper wire going to the batteries prevent the suits electronics from shorting out? and last, this business with the "It takes 35 blster rifle bolts or three lightsaber strikes to get through to the user, if all are in the same place." Just take that out. its a completely useless piece of information. your not going to be standing still and if someone is making you stand still then your at their mercy in any number of ways. Also, blaster bolts and lightsabers very from weapon to weapon just like weapons today have different calibers and gauges.

I know, Mik has been helping me out. I already have the extra shields out and have a way to shield it from emp and ion, at least when it is on the ground. I still need a way to dampen it when it is in the air. [/sub]

are there ways to send out a signal that will disable said devices?
i mean, it would have to be a short burst of something and the weapons would have to be inactive by the time you get to land
what about that?

Its called killing or destroying who or what is attacking you. The armor's shields are enough to take the damage at first, but ion weapons are quite effective against shields. Once on the ground, their effectiveness to the armor would be next to none. [/sub]

No i mean if you were falling, instead of having a shield, make it so that the suit temporarily sends out a radiowave or something that will disable the guns, vibroblades, ships and so on that might come after you.
That way, no one would shoot at you and you would get to the ground faster and easier and then the people that your working or traveling with will get down safely as well.
what about that?
