After traveling from Alderaan, Nik trudged up to the doors of the Jedi Temple where his instincts had led him . However, if one who knew Nik were to look at him, they would notice something amiss, he did not look... complete. Nik abruptly stopped as he felt an imaginary stabbing pain shoot through his stomach. "OW!" he screeched, he knew something much. much stronger than him was near.

As Cain stood off to the side watching the duel begin to unfold on the temple's roof top he felt several soft ripples in the force. Cain had surrounded the entire Jedi Temple in an almost imperceptible cocoon of the force, allowing him to sense instantly where and when it was breached. Cain reached out, feeling the presence of not one or two... but three new comers attempting to enter the temple. The power of this place had not been lost on those in the galaxy who hungered for it.
The three men arrived at the Temple entrance at the same time and were greeted their by the same child who had welcomed the other apprentices. The boy wore Jedi Padawan robes but from his stance and the unforgiving iciness of his stare it was clear there was more to him than just that. He had long dark hair and pale skin, his lips seamed together in a straight line giving away no hint of emotion. And there were those eyes, cold yellow eyes that one could feel as much as see, "This is no place for beggars," the boy said giving the three men a condescending stare, "You'd best turn back now. The only hand out you will find beyond this archway is death," as the boy spoke his hand hovered over the hilt of the lightsaber that dangled from his belt. He left it there as to make no secret of his intentions should one of the men try and continue forward.

"Are you, threatening me?" Nik asked, dazed, "there is no way you could be much older than myself, and yet you speak with such command?" Nik thought for a moment, trying to find out where the fierce pain was coming from... There was no way it was emanating from such a young... Jedi?
In the corner of his eye Nik saw the boy holding on to a light saber, but Nik did not prepare to draw his own. After all, the actual Nik was not in visible danger, he hid nearby behind a small building complex. "I have been in search for power for quite a time now, and my most recent master suddenly disappeared while I attempted to master a technique. After finishing, I felt something slightly similar to his presence in this direction, and it has lead me here. Perhaps you can tell me where my master is, his name is Hatori."

Ash didn't feel any electrical pressure coming from the kid, so there was no doubt that it was only a shadow clone. Ash's grey eyes slowly became red as he steped up ahead of the others.
Death must be a constant ally for one to become stronger. The only death I feel is the dieing of the weak.
What seemed like a brown-grey mist started to seep off the ground, as it was fractured and broken down, and became a fine sand. Ash was using shatterpoint to break up the ground into sand, and the force to use it as a weapon. He was no child with the force any more. Ash showed no effort of using the force, nor did his body move under his cloak, where only his head and the lower parts of his boots were visible.
He could easily feel Cain with the force and his electrical pressure, which wasn't too hard.
Cain, you have what I want, and that is power. You will find I am not the person I once was.
Almost to prove what Ash said, lightning struck the roof of the temple, near where cain and the other students were, behind the two hopefulls behind him, and near the clone padawan. The sand started to grow and shape itself, becoming three medium size balls. Ash made every intention on getting in, but his thoughts showed nothing of his actions. Everything was action and reaction to him right now. His force pressance started to grow, as did his power. He was ready for damn near anything right now. [/sub]

Kan was astounded at what he heard. a small child maybe a bit younger than him was threatening to kill him. kan wasn't sure on how he would defend himself if this were to be an actual fight. Kan noticed the small rod the boy had at his grasp; it was very similar to the one he had gotton from his old master. kan said with the utmost kindness
"I don't wish to die, and i don't wish to fight you. I just seek training. if you could lead me to someone who could tell me about this, *pulls out the 'lightsaber'* then i would be most greatful."
Kan was not much for talking seeing that he wasn't very fluent at all in the language that the others were speaking.

The boy offered a brief but loud laugh at Kan's words, "If you fear death than turn back, maggot. Those who wish for charity and mercy are worthy of neither," The boy's words were quick and sharp, cutting right to the point of the matter. His eyes flicked back and forth between the three of them.
Nik's words also had a ring of naive ignorance in them. The boy's lips curled into a frown upon hearing them, Cain was becoming weary of the burden that so many ill prepared apprentices had levied on him with their individual weaknesses, "Lord Akunin is dead," the boy said placidly, "and though he may have seen you as worthy you will find that Lord Cain is not quite as forgiving..."
Ash on the other hand did not spew words of confusion, only blind arrogance. This was not surprising, Cain was quite familiar with this rogue Mandalorian. He was quite completely self absorbed, but such was a necessary trait for a Sith. He was out of place among the Mandalorians where he was made to seek honor for his kinsmen when in his heart he truly sought it for himself.
Ash's lightning crashed into the barrier Cain had formed around the Temple, harmlessly deflecting aside as much of the other strikes around the temple had done. The sand he conjured around the boy did nothing to change the child's disposition. Ash had claimed he was not the person he once was, but this was all fluff. His adolescent posturing with vulgar displays of lightning and sand were proof of that. Cain would seek to humble him in a far more subtle way. The tendrils of the force that Cain had used to project the image of his shadow clone into Ash's mind could be used for much more than that and Cain's power was still more than triple that of Ash's. Cain forced his will upon the Mandalorian, completely saturating his senses and projecting an intense calm on Ash. So much so that he be lulled into a deep sleep, simply passing out where he stood.
The boy raised his eyebrow and his lightsaber jumped from his belt to his hand and snapped on, glowing blue with a dark core, "The nightmare begins now..."

Kan was, yet again, astounded at what the child was saying. Kan was not afraid of a mere child however this was no regular child. there was this darkness to him that didn't seem quite right. kan grabbed his spear from his back and held it in a defensive stance. the ebranite yelled at the top of his lungs~
"I do not fear death from a child no older than me!!! Don't speak to me in such a condascending manor!!!"
Kan began to grit his teeth and noticed the boys 'lightsaber' and how he used it. kan tried the same with his and out came a greem light with a light sillouette. he held the spear in a defensive position right above from the lightsaber.

"Hatori.... Is dead?" Nik's cloaked conscience came forward as he held back a tear. He hadn't known Hatori long, but he had been a big influence in helping Nik learn to create shadow clones. Nik suddenly realized the boy had drawn his light saber, so he had his shadow clone flick his wrist as a beam of silver light erupted from the handle.
"You sound so apathetic," Nik said through his shadow clone, as rage began to well up once again, "Did you have a hand in his death!?" Without waiting for an answer Nik's shadow clone recklessly and sloppily charged at the boy, he spent no time caring about fighting stance for as long as Nik remained undetected, he would remain safe.

Post by Garok on Jan 4, 2010 21:36:16 GMT -5
Garok opened his eyes quickly after coming out of the trance-like state. He felt a tad dizzy as he stood up, finding himself once more on Coruscant, with the others. Cain summoned them to follow him onto the stairway, heading upwards. They reached the roof a short while later. A sharp wind blew through Garok as he walked out onto the roof. Dark clouds were overhead, and streaks of lightning could be seen and the deep noise of thunder heard. A rather intimidating scene to be further instructed. However, after he listened to what Cain had to say to them, he soon found that they were to be tested. The Dark Jedi Ryuu joined them on the top of the temple. Their task was to defeat him. In the back of his mind Garok was simply wondering how in the world they could accomplish such a task, even if it was three versus one. Ryuu began flourishing his saber while Ashley and Kayen merely took up defensive saber stances. The fools... Garok sighed. It is us three apprentices versus a seasoned Dark Jedi, and all they do is wait for him to tear through their defenses. Considering that this man was stronger than each of them, a defensive start seemed poorly thought-out when it seemed quite possible that Ryuu could easily break it. On the other hand, Ryuu could easily block each of their attacks, but if they all attacked they just might survive this day.
Garok ignited his curved-hilt violet lightsaber, pacing a few steps to the right. He turned towards their opponent and, after one last, deep breath, he swung his saber upwards, holding it vertically in front of his face. He began to mold the force about halfway in between himself and Ryuu, forming as sharp and thin of a blade as he could. Once he was prepared, he exhaled quickly before slashing his saber downwards into the opening stanced of the Makashi lightsaber form. As he did so he sent the invisible blade hurtling towards Ryuu, hoping to at least stall for a few moments while his teammates hopefully rethought their strategies.

Back onto of the temple the students had readied themselves to fight and Ryuu scoffed silently to himself. He could think of a thousand more useful things to do with his time then to babysit Cain's little kath hounds, but if nothing else this would provide some much needed battle experience. Lightsaber combat was a study in repetition, training one's body to move without thought required considerable practice. After having been away from his own body for so long, Ryuu was eager to test the sharpness of his skills.
While the first two students entered cautious defensive stances Ryuu threw up a veil around himself with the force. It was nothing too fancy, standard really for lightsaber combat. Without it his foes could try and pull away his saber or simply throw off his balance, which could be quite a nuisance in saber combat. It had been one of the first things Ryuu had been taught when learning to battle. The third student went right to the attack, sending a well molded telekinesis his way. Ryuu focused the energy of the force to the front of his veil, solidifying its defense there, causing the force blade to crash against it like waves slamming and dispersing over a rocky cliff face. Ryuu himself entered an Ataru stance, a very offensive form.
Imediately he reached out to Ashley with his free hand, using the force to wrap around her neck and shoulders and lift her off the ground, squeezing her with it mercilessly. Ryuu then lept forward with force aided speed and agility to engage both Garok and Kayen. His lightsaber arced back and forth with blinding blue flashes engaging both his foes with dozens of strikes in only a matter of seconds. Ryuu was curious to see how these apprentices would deal with the speed at which he attacked.
Cain stood off to the side, mostly silent and motionless as he watched with Janus beside him. Without provocation he finally spoke, "Observe carefully apprentice. Try to feel the force flowing between the combatants. Watch how they make use of it and take note of their failings... these are your rivals after all..."

Ash could feel his senses start to dull, as his mind slowly started to fall asleep. It was all that was needed for his archdemon, Kale to take over. As the sand slowly fell to the ground, Ash's hair turned gray, then white. When his eyes opened, they were a sinister evil yellow, filled with merderous intent. The cat-like pupils were hardly visible with how narrow they were. Kale popped his neck as he looked at the surounding people. Ash's conscienceness was fully asleep now, and Kale had full control of his body.
A wee child is sent to play with me? And what of these others? They hold no sport with killing, as death will come to them... You, child, hold no soul, as you are not real, and yet the force seeps from you, a mercyless black wave of energy. Its quite soothing, actually. Its been a long time sense I hade a chance to play. Kale's voice much higher in pitch than Ash's, and the ancent sith spirits dark energy seeped off of him, only weaker than that of the child's. Kale unclipped his cloak, and rolled his shoulders, only to find his body fully armored in the perfect blackness of the armor. Child, may I ask for a dance? You are the one who is the strongest, even above me.Kale was even more arrogant than Ash, but the spirit was much more contained about it. His cool eyes looked over the clone as the hilt of his lightsaber jumped to his hand, but did not ignight. A wide, evil grin apeared on his face.[/sub]

The boy snickered, almost amused at how easily anger came to all three of them after so little goading. Cain drank in the anger each of them projected which further fueled his command of the dark side... not that he needed it at this point. Nik's attack passed harmlessly through the boy as if he were an apparition. The boy shot him a dissatisfied glance and Nik was tossed back onto his butt with the force.
"Not real?" The boy echoed back at Kale's comment with a curious inflection in his voice, "You would do well to not simply dismiss things as 'real' or 'not real'. Reality is determined by point of view. We each experience the world from our own unique points of view and then label it 'reality'. But what is false for some can be all to real for others. You see a child here before you, you see innocence and weakness but is that reality? You perceive that there is no great danger from that which is not real, or at least not as much danger as would be there in the presence of the Dark Lord... but is that reality? When you hold someone's perception in the palm of your hand... YOU decide what is real..."
After the boy finished speaking the darkness began to descend upon the three of them. On the roof top Cain had become motionless in order to carry out his assault on the minds of the three men. The scenery of Coruscant seemed to melt away around them, replaced by unending blackness. When the darkness finally evaporated away the four of them were in the Valley of the Dark Lord on Korriban. The wind swept across the valley and felt tantalizingly real right down to the faint warm glow of the Korriban sun as it died behind the horizon.
The boy emerged from the darkness changed, he was older now, tall and muscular, an imposing sight. His hair had gone gray and his flesh was gray and cracked all over like the parched canyon floor around them. His body was riddled with scars and his arms were nothing but mechanized prosthetics... but his eyes were the same, those cold yellow eyes.
"Now to show you what is real..." He said in a much deeper voice. He pointed his hand towards Kan and a blast of dark side enegy shot out at him powerful enough to scald and burn through his flesh. With his other hand he moved on to Nik. The force wrapped around Nik's arm and clamped down like a bear trap, the intention was to pulverize the bones and possibly even remove the arm. While doing this he stared apathetically at Kale, he didn't seem to be doing anything with him. Though through the connection that Cain had made into the Mandalorian's mind Cain began to savagely drain all the life force from the darker half of Ash's personality, absorbing the force from him while keeping his mind occupied within the illusion.

Kale didn't move as Cain sent his dark illusion around them, and they seemed to be transported to the Valley of the Dark Lords. He remembered this place when it was much, much younger, even before the tombs were errected. His cold yellow eyes eventually drifted to the new person who took the place of the child. This man was still shorter and perhaps even less muscular than Kale was, even if this body has really toned down.
Good day to you, sir. Shall we enjoy ourselves? Kale didn't even flinch or blink as the attacks were sent out to the other two hopefulls. Kale lifted up his legs, levetating Cain attacked his mind. Ash found himself 'awake' again, andlocked his minds with Cain's, where Kale's mind also joined in with the fight. They were still weaker, but they learned much. Ash's voice rose over Kales as he spoke to Cane within the mind of the fighter as Kale attempted to hold off Cain. After one was done speaking, they would trade places, letting each other rest. Your making it hard for us to preceave what is real and what is an illusion. I can be sure that where we are isn't Korriban. We are a caged beast, and this illusion is more shackles on us. We learned that we should not be so forward and arrogant when we face an opponent. We also know that any shackles could be broken, and any cage destroyed. And that freedom will come with the death of every weak and pitiful jedi and fallen sith. We know where they are hiding, unless one or both of your weaker apprentaces already told you where they could be hiding. But one thing is for sure, and that is that we will no longer be shackled! In one massive effort, both consciencenesses pushed against the more powerful Cain. Out of Ash/Kale's mind, Lightning coursed through the body, a blue cocoon of lightning, but it wasn't force lightning. It was Ash's normally occuring lightning. Ash/Kale was trying hard to break out of the illiusion and see what was real outside of the force's grasp.[/sub]

'Whoa, that's a ridiculous amount of force power I feel wrapping around my clone's arm,' Nik thought, 'There is no way any mortal could stand that amount of force and leave the arm intact... But if I rip off the arm of my shadown clone there won't be any blood, which will reveal that he isn't "me".' Nik screeched out in pain through his shadow clone, attempting to continue the act, 'Alright... The only way to get out of this without being detected is to plant some more illusions.'
Nik made his shadow clone disintegrate and reappear a few feet away. Then, mustering all the focus and force power he had, split his shadow clone creating a third "copy" of himself. The two clones took a fighting stance and cackled in unison, "You're definitely a lot stronger than you look, but you can't kill me if you don't know which one I am!"
OOC: I still feel like I'm godmodding in this post, please tell me if I am. Thanks!

Before Ashley could do anything, she felt Ryuu use the Force to wrap around her neck and shoulders to lift her off the ground, squeezing her with it. She grunted and then she closed her eyes and made and then she reached out to Ryuu with her free hand, using the Force to wrap around his free hand and twisted the hell out of it and managed to get free from his grip.
Once she was free, she lowered herself back onto the ground and then she created a Force ball in her right hand and then she conjured up Force lightning in the Force ball and she sent it flying at Ryuu along with a massive Force push to catch him off guard.
