Name: Hawk-class Fast Attack Scout/Interceptor
Information: Made of an older atmospheric craft design, the Eagle was brought into production by Cerberus Corporation when the origin plans, dating back to the great hyperspace war, was discovered on Ferisa. It is air-speeder that can be launched from orbit or near orbit, much like a LAAT. It has a fresh air supply for five hours, and can be refreshed for one week before before it needs to land on a mothership or enter a planets atmosphere. The Hawk has enough consumables for one week of flight. It uses a powerful MPS Bpr-99 fusion reactor power plant.
Dimensions: At 14 meters in length, 8.5 meter wingspand, and a depth of 3.5 meters, it is a medium size attack craft. It uses it superior speed and maneuverability to weave through AA fire.
Picture:
Ship Appearance: The Hawk is a double manned craft, the pilots and the gunner, navigation's, and communication gear. It has Dual Ducted Air Fans mounted on universal joints for unmatched maneuverability in atmosphere, and a ion engine. It has landing three landing 'legs,' one in the tail and two on the inside body next to the blasters. The cockpit has blast tinting shields. It can support no astromech droid, relying on a computer to store all information. The tail is mounted at an angle, so, when flying, the forward body is tilted down at a slight angle, increasing its ground coverage ability.
Weapon Payload: The Hawk has duel Borstel RG-9 laser auto-cannons mounted on swivel joints, with rotation ability 70 degrees up and down, and 40 Degrees left and right, under each wing nestled up against the main body. Under the nose is a medium laser cannon, used as an anti-tank, and is effective enough to take on larger freighters. It has hard points for six missiles, grouped in three per wing, and are able to hold a number of different warheads. Hidden away in the top-rear of the tail is a small repeating blaster turret with auto tracking ability.
Defensive Systems: The Hawk sacrifices armor and shields, relying on an inch of durasteel plating and quarter inch of Plasteel 'break-off' plates. It has a soul Sirplex Z-9 deflector shield projector for full shield coverage. ((A-Wing Shields.))
Sensor Systems: The sensors for the Hawk are relatively simple. able to give the type of ship or tank, and shield strength, if any. They can also keep track of multiple fighters in a dogfight, and fan fire all six missiles at different fighters, fire the auto-cannons at a fighter, the laser at another, and the repeating blaster at that pesky fighter in the tail of the hawk, giving it supreme air coverage in a dogfight. It carries a 4x-Phantom short-range sensor jammer for protection against any locks that someone could get on it.
Engines: An 4j.4 fusial thrust engine with an Etheric rudder is mounted under the main body, just before where the tail jettisons from the body. The Dual Ducted Air Fans on the universal joints allow it to make point turns in mid flight, but the faster the Hawk is going, the wider the turns must be. It has enough thrust in atmosphere to go at 1250 KMH, and an extra 150 with the air fans at for forward tilt. A repulsarlift assists in quick takeoffs and landings, but the air fans could do it all alone if needed.
Classification: The Hawk is primarily a airspeeder, It serves primarily as a ground scout and interceptor, true to its namesake.
Recommend Price: 150 Credits.
