The Mandolorian Carrier zoomed out of hyperspace as it came to a cruise above the planet of Taris. From the massive expanses of space Taris looked like a peaceful planet, although below the atmosphere a furious battle was taking place. A criminal organization, RAM, or Riestra and Miedval, has hired thugs to aid them in an attempt to oust the Taris Government. Engagements were already in progress as the carrier drifted closer to the planet. The Government of Taris had hired MotG to aid in the defense of the planet's government.
The carrier altered its course, no longer drifting towards the planet. It had turned its broadside so that it face the planet in preparation for the launch. Inside, the small group of men commanded by Arrik Fyr were making their final preparations. They grabbed ammo, radios, nades, and other supplies off of a table as they jogged into the 'briefing room', which in this case was the hanger. Once everyone was in position, Arrik began pacing as he ran through the details one last time.
"A rouge criminal organization has began launching an assault against the government of Taris. Engagements have already begun, and the Taris government has called in our aid to assist in the conflict. We are going to launch down to the surface and let the government know we're here. Then we get to work." He motioned towards a holoprojector which displayed intel on the government, the criminal organization, and their mission. "We will first see if the government needs any pressing assistance from us. If so, we will take care of that first. From there we will begin using all of our resources at hand to locate a bomb which has been rumored to be in the hands of the criminals. Our first priority is to secure that bomb. Our second is to capture or eliminate all of the gang members. Alright, everyone to their stations," he said.
The hanger burst into activity as the men hustled about getting to their proper stations. As they were jogging to the ships, Arrik reminded them, "I want Alpha team in the Dragoon! Mercs, Elites, that's you! Bravo team, I want you in the LAAT's, 10 soldiers in each. Hawks, you are Charlie team! Let's move!" They were all at the ready now, waiting for launch. The signal was given, and the Charlie led the way, followed by Alpha and the Bravo.

The sped down towards the surface of Taris. Once they entered the atmosphere Arrik tested the radios for the last time before the mission. They soon had a visual on the actual surface of Taris, and they located and turned towards the capital, which was primarily where the major battles were taking place.
"Alright, Alpha squad, I want you to be making contact with the government. Tell them we're here and ready to roll." Arrik himself had ridden on one of the LAATs with the soldiers.
After establishing contact with the general in charge of the defense of the capital, they were informed that they were in fact needed at the moment. Their assistance had been requested in one section of the city which was being overrun. They had been told that there were numerous enemy infantry, heavily armed. Alpha team relayed this information to the group.
"Alright, tell them to give us the coordinates." Then he had an idea, "Request permission to pick up some of Taris' infantry. We have room for quite a few more in these gunships, and can transport them to the front lines." After relaying the request, the general came back with a green light. He had given them the location of roughly thirty infantry who were in need of transportation but lacked the vehicles at the moment. "Let's get moving!" He said.
Moments later they arrived at a temporary military station. The two gunships headed down to land on the pads while the rest remained hovering above the station. The panels on the sides of the LAATs slid back, and the infantry leaped into the transports. The panels closed and they quickly lifted off once more, speeding towards the LZ.
As they neared they contacted the general once more, asking where they needed to go. He sent them the location of a building which the criminals were using as a headquarters.
"We need you to eliminate all hostilites in that building. Our nearby forces are tied up at the moment, but with the hq gone this section will be under our control again," radioed the general.
"Roger that," replied Alpha squad.
As soon as the building was visible on the horizon they began flying slowly and beneath the buildings. The would weave through the streets and then unload the gunships with covering fire by the hawks.
"Here's the plan!" Arrik yelled. He had to shout even on the radio due to the noise of the skirmishes. "Alpha team, when we give the signal you will land on top of the roof and infilitrate from the top. However, it won't be safe to do so until we begin drawing there fire. There's alot of them, and they are heavily armed, so don't act stupid and don't make mistakes. Hawks, we need you to cover from the air with suppressive fire while we unload the gunships on opposite sides of the building. We need to keep the damage to the local structures at a minimum, but at this point we have been cleared to cause some if necessary."
The gunships took their positions with the Charlie ships ready to provide cover if necessary. Alpha squad hung back, waiting for the order. The gunships were on the ground and opened the hatches.
"Go, go, go!" Arrik shouted as the jumped out of the transports and into the fray. They rushed towards the building, taking cover behind structures as they quickly but carefully advanced.

As they approached, Arrik assigned a small group to locate and disable the power supply to the building. They would have to be able to turn it back on later, so no blowing it up. The rest of the ground forces would enter the building quickly and begin creating a huge distraction via firefight. The Hawks and LAATs would cover the entrances, making sure no one would leave or enter. They would also take out targets near windows, creating further distractions. Once the signal was given and the power blown, the Dragoon would land on top and deploy the Mercs and Elites, who would located and secure the command station.
The plan was immediately executed. To provide initial confusion the four gunships began riddling the windows with suppressive fire, creating a very loud noise as glass shattered and fell back into the building. The team that would take out the power headed for a smaller side entrance while the main force rushed into the main, larger entrance, blaster's firing. There were only a few criminals immediately in sight, and with their sudden entrance and the gunship's covering fire they caught them by surprise and forced them to retreat farther in, wounding one or two. They quickly found cover in the halls and offices, setting up defensive positions in preparation for a large force to come running.
They had anticipated correctly, and soon the majority of criminals in the building were sprinting down halls and stairs as they followed their commanders to the battle. Arrik and his men would lean out, fire several dozen shots, duck, throw a nade, duck, etc. The enemy did the same. The mercs took little damage but dealt little as well. It was pretty much a bunker battle, with both sides trying to get the other as the poked their head and guns around the doors. The gunships made sure no one went in after them through the entrance they had used.
The troops were almost ready to cut the power. After the larger force had distracted the majority of the building they had located and went to the power circuits as quickly as possible. After a moment or two they had figured out how to shut it down.
"Standing by for power outage." They radioed.
"Alpha squad, standing by for the signal."
"Shut 'er down!" Radioed Arrik.
All of a sudden everything blacked out. Inside the building, Arrik's men had already turned on their flashlights or nightvision. They continued to rain down fire to the opposite end of the very long hall while the criminals scrambled around in shock for a few moments. Some continued to return fire, but most were confused for several precious seconds. The team that had shut down the power had split up, leaving two men at the console to restore power and the rest to circle around and get behind the large group that was blocking Arrik's group. They headed that way, ready to chunk some nades once they got in range of the criminal's flank.
Alpha squad had immediately landed on the roof once they had received the signal of the power outage. The two elite troopers and the six mercs burst through the top door, rushing down the stairs. They split up, maintaining radio contact. They had been receiving intel on the building as they had waited and could narrow down the location of the command center to floor five. The two elites took the stairs, silently killing helpless foes with their blades in the dark. The mercs went down the elevator shafts with ropes. Once they were all on floor five, they quickly found a room which still had power; a generator was in place there. The two elites silently slipped around to the flank while the mercs prepared their weapons. "Don't damage the computers," one of them reminded the others. They counted down from five and kicked down the door. The criminals had been tense, and unleashed a volley of fire immediately. The merc's armor was able to take several shots, and they utilized this time to mow down the enemy. The elites came diving out of the vents, stabbing the criminals from behind. After a few seconds the room was cleared.
The battle downstairs was going quite well. Scrambling around in the dark, the gangsters had been easy targets for the main force to pick off with nightvision. Combined with the other team flanking with nades at the ready, they finished off the group with only one casualty and two wounded for the Mercs and local military.
Power was soon restored and the rest of the building cleared. Any remaining forces were mopped up. "I want the location of that bomb in ten minutes." Arrik said. "Access their netword with the computers in the control room. While you are at it, try to locate their main base of operations for this entire battle. Once we find those, we can retrieve the bomb and tell the government where to airstrike. Also inform the military that we have secured this building."

About eight minutes later they had located the location of the nuclear bomb, but had had no dice on the location of the main facility where these gang leaders were. The nuke was, much to the surprise of Arrik and the others, very close to the city. It was held in an old warehouse heavily guarded on the outskirts. It was a good hiding place, first because no one would think to look so close, and second because a warehouse didn't exactly strike most people as a missile silo. They informed the military of their entire progress so far and requested some backup for the retrieval of the bomb. They were given the backup, and about ten minutes later forty more military soldiers arrived with gunship transports. They also brought their best hacker, who was able to successfully pinpoint the hiding place of the gang lords.
"General," Arrik radioed, "We're sending you the coordinates of the gang's main HQ. That'll be your responsibility while we secure that bomb."
"Roger that," replied the officer at the other end.
While the air strikes were being prepared for the main base Arrik had his men prepare to exit the premises and get back in the transports. First, however, he had looted some Stealth Field Generator Belts from a stash that the gang had brought it. He distributed them among his men before giving the order to evac and then head over to that warehouse.
As they flew through the city Arrik once more described what their course of action would be.
"We are going to do almost exactly what we just did. However, this time, we can't have a main distraction up front. We are going to need to be as stealthy as possible. Therefore we are going to be dropped off quite a ways from the target and advance on foot. Once we get close we will use our stealth field generators to infiltrate. Once inside, we will silently take out patrols and split into two groups. One is going to cut the power, much like we just did. The other is going to get in position to take out the guards and secure the bomb the moment those lights go out. Alpha team, you are going to infiltrate first and get in the rafters of the ceiling. Group one will head for the power lines and group two will get in position to strike. Again, once those lights go out Alpha team will lower from the ceiling and secure the bomb while group two secures the premises. Are we clear?"
"Hooah!"
Six minutes later they were unloading. Everyone had their stealth field generators ready. Alpha team headed out and soon vanished behind buildings as they advanced. Groups one and two followed a minute later. As they neared everyone activated their stealth field generators and walked slowly up to the building. Group one went around back to the power lines. Group two entered and walked over the corpses of the dead men killed by Alpha team. They quickly located the main room in the not so large warehouse and surrounded it, completely invisible when moving slowly with their generators on. Five, four, three, two, lights out. Alpha team dropped down and surrounded the bomb, preparing to move it in the darkness. Group two came out with blasters firing, once again with nightvision on. With the Military's reinforcements with them they greatly outnumbered the guard. It appeared that the criminals had been a little too confident in their hiding spot. Five minutes later the mop-up had been completed and the bomb secured. Arrik had them load the bomb onto a LAAT, to be taken back to the Mandolorian Carrier. He had an idea that it would be a 'handy' thing to have later.
With the bomb secured and the gang's base being airstriked at about that exact moment, Arrik smiled under his visor. Now all that was left was a few cleanup jobs and packing up.

An hour or two later Arrik was loading his men and their gear onto the transports. The General and other officials thanked them for there services, and the group had welcomed them to call them whenever they needed something similar to today. "You know where to wire the funds." Arrik reminded them, smirking a little under his visor. It was his first job, and although it had been a long day, he felt he had completely succeeded. The transports lifted off and headed to the Mandolorian Carrier in orbit. After everything was on board, they coordinates were set and the carrier zoomed off into Hyperspace.
