The Normandy-Class Stealth Star Yacht/M NormandyPopped out of hyperspace, stealth systems offline as it made its way towards the small assembly of ships. A couple of seconds beings, the Lysander-Class Deep Space Carrier Paradise Lost jumped out, fallowing the much smaller Yacht. The larger ship fell into orbit near the orbiting Nebula, but it was the yacht that made contact with the Nebula.
Enterprise, this is the SSV Normandy, requesting permission to Land. Again, this is Commander Zero of the SSV Normandy, requesting permission to land. Its starting to get a little lonely here in space. You may also have me logged as some new grunt, because that's exactly what I am [/i] The Yacht circled around the Enterprise, every now and then changing direction much faster than one would think it capable of doing as it waited for clearance. Meanwhile, Paradise Lost Sent out its own codes as Captain Cutter sent his own codes over.[/center][/sub]

A women appeared on the image. "This is Captain Johana Kay of the USS Enterprise. Welcome to the Federation Flight Lead Zero. You have permission to dock in the port docking bay. After landing and securing your transport report to the bridge and we will talk." Johana Kay said before ending the transmission and turning her attention to Captain Cutter. She had communication send him to take a position behind and to the port of the Enterprise and extend an invitation to join her on board the Enterprise to discuss all the issues may arrive with a civilian military vessel within the Federation Fleet area of operation.

Acknowledged, beautiful. Thanks for the welcome, and see you soon. [/i] Zero turned the Normandy in a very tight turn, and headed strait for the port hanger. It came in hot, what looked like too hot for a ships its size, but Zero was tuned in with his yacht. The rest of the didn't even seem to notice. Ash turned it, almost scraping along the ceiling, and set down on some available space, which also happened to be over a couple cobra starfighters. ------------------------- James Cutter acknowledged ordered the Paradise Lost to head into the coordinates, and then was off to a dragoon shuttle, Sargent John Forge next to him. The Captain and the Chief of security were heading with Zeroto meet the Captain of the Enterprise. It looked like a respectable battleship to James, but John thought of it as small, but he was use to being on a larger ship. After a few moments for the pilot to power up all systems, the shuttle took off, heading for the hanger where the Normandy landed, and set down next to it. The pilot would keep the shuttle powered down, but still active, because they didn't know how long they were going to be gone. -------------------------- Zero watched as the Dragoon landed damn near under his yacht, and could of if it was smaller. Well, I hope you two are ready. Well, we need to do what we must. Yea yea. I just wanna get back. I'm already starving/ Same here, John. Now, lets go see this hottie of a Captain. Man, I hope she likes me. How should I come off: Roguish, easy going, or straightforward? Personally, I would go straightforward, but that's just me. I'll let you kids settle this. Leave me out of it. Sure thing old man.Zero and John were going over the best way to approach Captain Johana Kay up until they reached the bridge, where, Zero took the lead, James on his right side, John on his left, and they entered. Flight leader Zero, reporting, as ordered. To my right is Captain James cutter, my second and the head of Paradise lost. To my left is Sargent John Forge, head of security. You can call me Zero, handsome, or something else along those lines.[/center][/sub]

Johana looked at the Zero and rolled her eyes. "You can call me Captain Kay, Miss Kay or simple Captain." She said softly. She was not sure if she would be able to control him or not, but only time would tell. "Well Ensign Zero, I am glad to recognize you a member of the Federation Navy. Your assignment is the the Flight Leader of the Second Flight in Red Squadron. You have been assign the Y-35 Cobra tail number FN-893-E. You well find it in the starboard hanger." Elisa said pulling out a datapad with his room assignment along with the three pilots assigned under him.
She then ran her fingers through her hair and looked at Captain Cutter and Zero. "That brings us to the second point we need to discuss. The Lysander-Class Carrier Paradise Lost. What can be expected of it? Well it fallow Fleet orders or operate on its own?” She figured she would run the code of conduct by them for which ever they said. However should they form under the Federation Fleet, a pay raise would be in order to supplement Zeros additional support. She was not sure if she liked the idea of having a larger ship the Enterprise that was not part of the military hanging around, but the Federation laws were clear on the concept of free movement through Federation Space.

FN-893-E. Simple, Captain. I look forward to working the Federation, you, and everyone else. My ship and our fighters and support shall work with you, Mam, and the Federation. Everyone is highly trained and always ready to be sent out in a moment's notice, and it has been that way for the past 8 years. [/color] Though Paradise Lost was Zero's, the aging Captain still had a lot of say in decisions, and he acted as Zero's adviser, and the two usually came to the same endings and agreements. Zero took the datapad, and nodded in agreement with James. John was looking idly around the bridge. After a few seconds of looking at the datapad, Zero's eyes looked back to Johana, looking over her body and resting on her eyes. Zero's eyes, well trained to pick up the smallest of detail in a person's stance, face, and eyes, cocked an eyebrow. Is there something troubling you? I hope its not me. I'm a well trained dog that's been kept on a single ship in the unknown regions of space for 8 years. Its good to be someplace new with some new people to talk to. Now, if there was only some solid land down there, so I could fall. You should try it sometime, Captain. Its fun.Zero poked his chin out the viewport overlooking the ocean planet. What he was talking about is an orbital drop in a set of drop armor. He loved the adrenalin rush that came from the impossibly high fall through atmosphere. He put his hands behind his head and grinned. James rolled his eyes, and John let out a laugh.[/center][/sub]

Johana looked at Zero. The guy could be read like a book. While it was flatting to say the lease, it was not uncommon. Many people in the military were still males; wither it be planetary believes or just the fact that they tend towards it was unknown. She had seen her fair share of young hotshot pilots that were looking for a one night tumble. “Don’t worry about me Ensign. Just don’t get your hopes up on getting lucky either. I am one of the few human females on this ship and even a smaller minority of the single. The majority of our crew is Mon Calamari and Quarren.” She said as looked at the ships communication and then back at the group. “Captain Cutter and Chief of Security Forge; you should head back to your ship. Ensign Zero, you should get yourself moved in and check on your fighter. Your first mission briefing is at twenty three hundred hours.” She said as a crewmember member walked up with several datapads to sign. “We can talk later Ensign.” Johana started to sign datapads and promoted Zero to the rank of a Majors pay grade, but not to the rank or the responsibility.

It was simultaneous: Three perfectly performed salutes to a superior officer. Even James, who was the superior officer for more than 12 years, didn't even need to dust off. James and John turned on their heel, and left the bridge. Zero lingered long enough for a couple more words. His voice was more serious now.
Mam, despite how I may act, don't hold anything against me. I know I'm not the best when it comes to most things, especially hooking up with women. Hopefully I can earn your respect, as I hope you can earn my trust.
Zero bowed slightly, turned, and left quietly, almost like a different person. He knew he came across as a horn-dog, as he usually did, and highly doubted he did anything to change that. He also didn't trust anyone easily, which was considered smart by most people. The only people he truly trusted was those on his ship. Hopefully, him and Johana would earn each others respect and trust. That was needed to a good relationship, professional or otherwise.
Zero went to the starboard hanger, where his cobra was waiting. Second flight was grouped in a single row, the middle row of three rows of four: how ironic. They were a deep maroon with two black racing stripes running up its length, breaking at the cockpit. He instantly grinned and checked his wrist chrono. He still had plenty of time before he had to be at the mission briefing. He set his alarm to go off an hour ahead of time, and then went to work looking over his fighter with a precise eye of a mechanic. [/sub]

Johana Kay returned the salute to the three soldiers. "I am looking forward to working with all of you." She said as they walked out. She then turned her attention to Zero. "You already have my respect because you have chosen to risk your life uphold a set of ideals which are important. The way you conduct your personal life does not affect that." She said with a smile. To her, the Federation Ideals where so important that she was ready to lay down her life and the lives of those under her command to protect them. Johana gave Zero a slight bow before turning her attention back to ship operations and talking with military patrols which were checking the asteroid fields for pirate ships.

An insistent beeping in Zero's ear forced him to stir. He was fully drawn awake when he sat up and slammed his head against something hard. He was forced back into the memory foam of his chair, and realized where he was: The cramp cockpit of his fighter. He spent the last couple of hours getting everything fine tuned to his liking, and sat back to a break, and now he was finally awoken up. He rubbed his eyes before he checked his chrono: hes been asleep for more than an hour.
Well, at least im awake now.
Zero shook his head and popped the canopy, and made his way out of the cobra fighter. He stretched and made his way to the port side hanger, where his yacht was waiting for him. His crew must have been off doing their own things, because only a few were on board. Zero went to his private room, showered, and dressed in some civilian clothes: red and white jacket, blue pants, and some nicer looking boots. His hair fell into place as he shook his head.
With a half hour to spare, Zero grabbed a quite bite to eat on the way before heading off to the briefing. Even though he managed to get lost, he still managed to make it to the briefing room on time. [/sub]

Johana walked into the room and all the pilots stood. They saluted and Captain Kay returned the salute. "Please be seated." She said as she open the file on the podium. "First I would like to introduce or two newest members to this ship. Ensign Zero of Red Squadron and Ensign Samantha Aran of Silver Squadron." She said pointing to the two new pilots.
Samantha Aran stood up and gave a wave to the pilots before she sat back down. She was wearing her blue flight suit and her hair was pulled back in a pony tail.
After introducing the two pilots Johana continued. "We are going to assault a Pirate base located in the asteroid field M234-P. They have set up shop inside the former Union base which was hollowed out by the nuclear attack. We expect that their forces consist of twelve Z-95 Headhunters, four Y-wings and two Action VI Transports. We are sending Red Squadron and Silver Squadron in to clear out the star fighters and transport. Once they are cleared out Green Squadron well hyperspace in and destroy the base with Proton Rockets. Once they are done there wont be anything left of this base larger then a suitcase." Captain Kay said explaining the attack plan. It was rather simple. She expected to destruction of the base and 80 percent of the fighters to be destroyed for a successful mission. "Any questions pilots." Captain Kay asked as she looked over the group.

When Zero was introduced, he stood, pumped the air a couple of times like the hotshot he was, then sat down in one of the middle row's, leaned back, and rested his feet on the row in front of him, hands behind his head as he listening.
It seemed like a relatively easy mission to him, and he was a fare pilot when it came to larger crafts like his yacht, but the little tiny fighter shouldn't be too hard to get the hang of. He grinned at the idea at seeing action again. As if his younger years wasn't enough, and he was, wanting some more. Fighting wasn't quite what he was thinking as his eyes scanned over Samantha Aran. He couldn't hide the sly smile creeping in on him. When the time for asking questions came up, he raised his hand, and when picked, spoke.
So, would you like everything well done or extra crispy, just so I can know for our next meeting.
A giant grin set on Zero's face as he waited for a reply. Sometimes he hated being a joker when it wasn't the time to joke around, but it could end the tension quickly if said at the right time. [/sub]

Captain Kay rolled her eyes. "Does anyone have a real question?" She asked as she pinched the bridge of her nose. She looked around the room and noticed Samantha's hand extended up. "You don't need to raise your hand is Miss Aran. Just ask the question." Captain Kay said as she closed the folder.
Samantha Aran looked at the captain. "Captain, is their anything stopping the enemy forces from jumping to hyperspace once they clear the asteroid field?" Samantha asked. She wanted to know if they would be forced to shot down all the fighters before they got out of the asteroid field.
The Captain looked at Aran. The women was a well known bounty hunter and she sorta wondered who pulled the stings to get her to join the Federation military. She did not know how long she would be staying with them, but she would take advantage of it while it lasted. "No, once they leave the asteroid field they can retreat to hyperspace. That is why we are sending two squadrons. Also we do not expect you to get them all but eight percent of the enemy fighters destroyed and both of their transports are expected for a completed mission." The captain said glad someone asked a reasonable question. "If no one else has a question, good luck. Mission starts in thirty five minutes." The Captain said as she gave them a salute and walked out of the room back to towards the bridge.
Samantha returned the salute and stood up collecting the datapad with the mission report on it. She want it to continue to review the mission data. She headed out of the mission briefing room and to the hanger. She walked up to the crewmember loading her fighter with missiles. "I want Advance concussion missiles in the alpha launcher and proton torpedoes in the beta launcher." She said to him nicely. The man nodded and started to load the fighter with the desired ordnance. Samantha leaned up against a near by bulkhead and waited for her fighter to be finished.

Zero saluted, then gave a lazy wave to the retreating Captain. He yawned, stood, stretched, then headed back to his Cobra. He had thoughts about bringing his squadron of twintails, but this mission should be a milk run compared to what was ahead of them. The headhunters and Y-wings will be simple. the transports also be taken out with little effort. He was lost in his day dreaming, which managed to switch over to Samantha Aran and the Captain when he arrived at the starboard hanger.
Most of the pilots for Red Squadron were preparing their fighters, making sure all systems were green, and that all missiles were loaded. Zero did the same when he jumped into his fighter. His chair was backed up more than his height, but his foot petals were newly extended for his preferred way of flight. Being farther back gave him more arm room, so he could better manipulate the controls of his fighter.
Soon, the countdown timer was nearing zero, and the sound of engines and repulsar's were sounding off. Zero took the liberty of speaking to the squadron.
Alright guy's and gall's of all sex and ages. It shouldn't be too hard to take out everyone. If we work together with Silver Squadron. Hell, it would be easy if we were on our own. Use our speed and gun them the hell down! [/i] Apparently there were no complaints of Zero's talking. Instead, he got some hoora's. He grinned, and was the first one out of his hanger, where he opened a channel with Samantha. Hey, I have a plan that may work out nicely: one cobra will pair up with one of your boats, two pairs for the transports, two for the y-wings, and the rest for the headhunters. How about squadron with lowest kills buy's the first round. Sound good?[/center][/sub][/i][/b]

When the ground crews signaled that the fighter was ready Samantha walked over. She did a quick walk around the fighter checking for anything she could spot that might have been damaged sense the last check. Once it was clear it was in the same condition as before she climbed into the cockpit. She then did a systems check and a pre-flight check. It did not take her long and before she knew it Zero was chatting on the radio. She flipped her mic on and spoke calmly. "How about not. We could not keep up with your Y-35's even with the SLAM drive activated. I would suggest that we hit the transports and Y-wings because our heaver weapons would make quick work of them. The Y-35 then can start on the soft Headhunters and we can come in to help once we finish the heavy shielded targets." Samantha suggested. She did not understand this Zero guy, why would he suggest intermerging the squadron in such a way. Not only did they never train in such a way, it would separate wing men which normally worked together and force them to work with someone new. "And no deal with the drinks. I don't bet with outer peoples money." Samantha said over the mic before leaning back in her seat. Red Squadron was to launch first with Silver Squadron right behind them. Green Squadron would launch ten minutes after them. Ten minute to clear out the enemy defense was plenty of time, however flying in an asteroid field was difficult for even the best pilots; this would be no cakewalk like Zero thought it would.
