Bio:
Vaduminas san Sk'ar was born on Taris after his parents decided to leave their home on Kalee and settle within the boundaries of the established Republic. They had left for better horizons, seeking acceptance and opportunity amid the myriad of beings and planets comprising the Republic in a bid to escape the seemingly endless turmoil of their home world. What they found upon their arrival on Taris, however, was the exact opposite.
Vaduminas was born into a world populated by a society that despised any species that wasn't human and treated them as dirt, if they were so lucky enough to be compared to such on certain days.
As a result, the young Kaleesh had a particularly traumatic childhood growing up beneath the prejudice rule of Tarisian nobility, one that would eventually instill a great deal of anger and hatred for humans in the young Kaleesh. Acting quickly to curb his son's violent tendencies before they could bring ruin upon him, Vaduminas' father saw a useful outlet for his son's anger in teaching him how to properly handle a slugthrower rifle, simultaneously imbuing him with the rich hunter skills that were so prominent amongst their people on Kalee. The young Vaduminas proved himself an excellent marksman and a skilled hunter with a mind as finely honed as any weapon, and by eight years of age he had already become an accomplished marksman.
Yet even as Vaduminas learned how to best utilize his anger under his father, his parents waged a tiring battle for acceptance, but ultimately failed to garner any such status amongst the rest of the planetary populace. The seething hatred and xenophobia for non-human species on Taris ran deep enough amid the populace to the point where they would just as soon wish death upon even the children of a foreign race rather than allow them to integrate into their society, regardless of whether or not they were simply trying to live in peace.
After just two years under the oppressive rule of Tarisian nobility, Vaduminas' parents were considering leaving and heading back to Kalee, their purpose defeated and their dreams crushed. But, as fate would have it, tragedy would strike early in Vaduminas' life. Shortly after his fourteenth birthday, an anti-alien demonstration focused at a local merchant quarter near his home claimed the lives of both of his parents. The demonstration suddenly turned violent when several of the alien merchants turned against the protesters, assailing them with whatever items they could manage to get their hands on. In response, a Tarisian security force had been dispatched to quell the unrest, but overreacted in their response to the situation. Within minutes of the police force's arrival, the scene had degenerated into chaos, and the Tarisian police force, overwhelmed and threatened by the sheer number of rioters, assumed control of the situation by firing into the crowd.
In the wake of the riot, more than thirty civilans had been killed or wounded, fifteen of whom were human citizens, and two of whom were Vaduminas' parents, both struck down in the fray by mere accident as they stumbled across the unfolding events.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Vaduminas was driven to despair and a horrible psychotic depression. Inconsolable, he set off on a dangerous journey by himself across the galaxy to his home world of Kalee, where he visited Abesmi, an island-monolith far from the mainland. There, he pleaded with the gods to raise his parents from their grave just so he might see them one final time. But the gods remained silent.
Vaduminas, heartbroken and deeply scarred by the events of his life, did what he could to bury his grief. He ended up taking eight wives and siring twenty children, but none of them, spouse or child, seemed to be able to fill the void left in him.
From that point forward, Vaduminas slowly backed himself out of society all together, retreating within himself and closing himself off to outsiders. To this day he holds an unshakable loathing for the human species, blaming them and their blind arrogance for the plight of not only himself, but for the abysmal state of affairs across the galaxy. He much more prefers the company of his own people and other aliens compared to humans.... Which he now hunts for personal sport from time to time as a way to exact his revenge and dull his grief, if only for a moment.
To date, his most impressive kill, and perhaps one that Vaduminas himself takes great pride in over any other, was his taking of a wayward Jedi Knight. The hunt had been long and hard, but he had finally emerged victorious, taking the Jedi's lightsaber as a trophy for himself and using the perpetual memory of his kill during the dark, lonely nights to silence his pain.
