always good to make sure you fully understand a force power before using it.

Q: What is the exact criteria for earning EP from a battle. My character, Tycen Malone was in two fights, One with Death Hades chair, And one against Komoko's chair, Both fights he won but did not kill the other person, I noticed he didn't receive anymore EP from ether fight and was wondering as to why?

Most likely because you did not inform an admin of the fight and second of all you didn't inform them of who won.
The criteria for winning is kinda loose, you have to beat your opponent which can mean many different things but for the most part the one left standing gets the exp.
Also your level is beyond level 1, so i do not know if these battles took place at level 1 or 2 which would effect the exp dramtically depending upon your opponents levels as well.
EX. A level 2 winning against a level 1 = 50EXP
where as a level 1 winning against a level 2 = 200 EXP

Then the question would have been your opponent's level level 1 vs 2 = 200 exp lvl 1 vs 1 = 100 exp. Assuming both level 1's in the beginning are you of course.

I"m almost one-hundred percent sure, That both the fights were against level one characters, Like this;
Tycen. L:1 VS Blank. L:1
And the classic match of
Blank. L:1 VS Tycen. L:1
For both fights meaning-i guess-that he should have gotten two hundred EP for both fights all day. But i never told a mod, So when i do is that what i"m suppose to do, Tell a mod my chair just whip some ass lol.

Pretty much and link them to where the battle took place. They can then determine if you were indeed the winner of the battles and award you exp. XD

Rags, your question can be answered by looking at the Forum Rules Section2 Rule #3 which says...
3. About gaining XP from battles. In order to gain XP from a battle you must be battling another members player character. Battling NPC's does not give any XP. After you've beaten another player PM an admin with a link to the thread so that they can give you your XP. Here is the formula for determining how much XP a character receives from a battle.
x = loser's level
y = winner's level
x/y * 100 = XP given
Basically the loser's level divided by the winner's level, times one hundred is the amount of XP a player receives for a member vs. member battle. In the event that there are more then two participants, the winners will receive XP for each player character they've defeated. Losers do not receive any XP.

i have a question bout star ships shields and shooting abilities
ok i was reading topic bout star ship ware fare and got to the shields
now if the shields r up and the person ship with the shield is preparing to fire does it shield go down cause in some situations
a ship fired with shield on deflects it back hitting the ship or negates it or does the weapon bullets or energy go right through its own shield?
thus stating this if i am right then before fire the shield must be off there for it can fire without wasting anything or damage it

If i read Mik's Ship to ship Naval warfare topic right some of the guns are positioned OUTSIDE the sheild so when they fire it doesn't interfere with the ship. This is why turbolasers can be destroyed.
(wait for Mik or Odan's official opinion. They would know)

A ships shields are projected just under the hull so that things like weapon emplacements and sensors are outside of it's protection. This allows the weapons to fire but also leaves them vunerable. Same with other such equipment.

A- you won't be fighting the death star on BHOD
B- your going to need to define "one hit". Hit what with what?
C- charge up time is irrelevent because as stated before, weapons and other external eqipuipment are only vary partially protected by shields.
