"Kill and kill again!" Mik actually has a pretty good view on this. It is not ok to kill, but sometimes you have to. *throw Mik a cookie* Isn't that what just about everyone said? Well....... Mik deserves a cookie anyways!

As far as video games go its not really them to blame nor is it the people playing the games. Frankly there are some people out there with a skewed since of reality. Take me for example I once thought I was in a tv show for half a summer.
Then again I can understand parents who see these game and say that they are too violent. But if they feel the games are too violent then the idiots should stop buying them for their five year olds when the game clearly says no one under 17 should play it.

Though do you agree with the ratings given on the game? I mean, i've been playing 17+ games for ever, and i'm still not 17! i turn in about 3 weeks time.

Actually yes I do. I mean I played GTA 3 when I was like 14 and it didn't make me go kill anybody. Its also have to do with how well the child has been raised. I showed my dad GTA3 and Mortal Kombat and all of the good gory crap when I was younger and he asked me if I knew it was just a game and not to do it in real life. And I do.
The rating system works. It just depends on the parents aswell. Thats like saying you let your 4 year old watch a horror movie now you want to sue the company who made the movie cause your child is having nightmares...its just stupid.

I'm gonna take it that you're kidding. Do you fully understand what it means to take someone's life away? Not only that, but you're ruining the lives of their family and friends. Why does he deserve to die because you have a problem with him? If you don't like the guy, and you can't work things out, do things the old fashioned way and punch him, don't get rid of him. while i agree with what you said here, the point i would make is that if everyone followed that philosophy, there's nothing stopping someone from killing you... as long as they don't get caught. Personally i'm not a huge fan of this "Not get caught" bullshit. There are consequences for actions. you know, Newtons law and all that. trying to avoid the consequences of your actions is cowardice, plain and simple. You do the bad deed, take your lumps like a man. Now, onto videogames. yes i think that violent video games can turn kids into violent, moronic, and vicious people but thats only when combined with other things. Like a lack of parenting, not learning the difference between entertainment and reality, lack of a life, a lack of real friends and an over abundance of internet friends. All of this can turn a kid rotten quick, but i don't believe the video games can do it alone. I am a steadfast believer in that video games make kids learn much faster then reading a book does. Actual interaction with an object always teaches more then just reading about it. Not to mention the boost to spacial awareness and hand eye coordination. The debate is far from being over though. there's enough scientific studies on both sides to keep people arguing over it for the next 30 years. i just hope that the government does plan on banning all video games until the argument IS over.

Why punch him and escalate the haterd? For all you know he could just come back with his "buddies" and try to fuck me up thus i will be forced to fight again, and possible kill depending on how high the anger is going to escalte. People do stupid shit all the time, as for hurtting his family and friends, that's none of my consern. Tell it to the kids who randomly started beating a guy in the back of my bus intill he was bleeding out the mouth just for looking at him. There be some crazies down here. The real wild card here is the whole "no consequences" thing. You could interpret that as meaning that there would be no backlash on that persons family and friends and that killing them would, in fact, have no consequences. Of course, this is not the way the world works. Now getting to an enemy before they get to you is a good strategy, but you have to remember where you are. You're in puyallup or w/e its called, not Iraq. These are just dumb kids who arent worth your time or effort. Save your rage for what really matters. Don't kill just because you can.

As for this, as i said in the chat, i most likely will never kill anyone becuase this situation will never come up, and yes i know cain, i haven't gone around killing anyone just becuase i could right now.
