The scene is downtown Tokyo, Japan. In the heart of the city among the throngs of passers by, Jack in a heavy black coat stands staring coldly at a woman across the street. His hair is dark and his skin holds a pale and sickly complexion. Dark rings have formed under his bright amber eyes that appear almost yellow in the light.
Slowly slipping off his coat, two large wings unfold from behind Jack. His hand slowly gripping at the hilt of the katana at his hip as he glared toward the woman.
"Entertain me..."

A small asian woman, the one who seemed to be addressed by Jack, looked about her, the people gawking at Jack's enormous wings, a soft smile spread across her face.
The rather ordinary woman smiled as she unvieled herself, the air waving like heat lines on hot pavement for a moment revealing extraordinary creature behind the magic veil. Pure white high piled into a tall bun, accenting her olive complexion, a long black wooden staff, a bright green orb sitting a top it.
More people had begun to crowd them, staring. "Incartem" A high wall flame appeared, incinerating about a dozen of the people standing about them in the circle in a burst of fire. Avarath smiled brighter.
"Wanna play, do we?"

"Hmph!" Jack snickered at the wall of fire that surrounded Avarath, slowly sliding his blade from it's sheathe, "Amateur..."
Melding into the shadows, Jack vanished from sight and almost immediately appeared directly behind Avarath, placing his hand on her shoulder, "Thousand knives of Anzu..."
Suddenly the air around Avarath sliced at her from one thousand directions. The Razor wind sent powerful wind gusts with only the width of one molecule at and through an opponent. The result was as if being slashed simultaneously with one thousand blades at once.

As the Thousand Blades of Anzu slashed down at Avarath she began to cry out in pain and anguish. Falling to the ground, she began to shimmer, her outline becoming fuzzy, and yet another illusion disappeared, revealing the woman to have just been killed by the attack to be just another innocent bystander. Her fire merely a distraction to hold away from her real spell, a subsitution spell.
Avarath jumped back over the wall of fire she had created before, her staff changing into a sword quickly as she slashed down at Jack.

Jack watched the woman's disguise slowly vanish without flinching. He then turned his attention to Avarath, leaping up over the flames and bearing down on him.
"Impressive... illusion, deception... but if this is all the faster you can move you'll never defeat me."
Jack raised his blade, locking it with Avaraths, then holding his left hand out inches from her belly. A blast of air like a cannon ball shot into her midsection from nearly point blank range.

With the blast of air Avarath disappeared, with a light poof and a slight amount of smoke in the air. The clone successfully destroyed.
"Esnare" Said the sorcress behind him, thick black vines forced their way from the ground, wrapping about his legs and arms to hold him still.
"Clones, Substitues, Shadows. One would think you'd come to expect all this by now, Jack."

Ensnared in vines, Jack couldn't help but chuckle at Avarath's comments, "Hehehe... who says I haven't?"
Suddenly there was a crackling sound from behind Avarath. There was another Jack now standing behind her, his fist alive with electricity as he cocked it back and threw it forward. Upon making contact the electricity would discharge into the opponent.
While this was happening the Jack in the vines faded away. While in the void earlier Jack had been able to make a clone of himself and send that out to battle with Avarath while the real Jack sat back and waited for her to let her guard down...

Avarath took the hit, sending her flying backwards as the electricity flicked across her skin in loud cracks. The woman stood up, laughing as the charge ran rampant throughout her body, her sword held tightly in hand as she laughed heartily, the sparks still running wild over her.
"Airesth" she said with a laugh as she ran towards him, a blur with her magically enchanced speed, darting to his side to punch him, releasing his own power against him.

Taking the hit Jack spun through the air, his wings then opening up and catching him before he hit the ground, "Now that's more like it..." Jack muttered.
Abruptly he vanished again and reappeared almost instantly behind Avarath slashing hard across her back with his blade, but he wasn't done... just as soon as he struck with the blade Jack came from the side with a slash, then the other side, then from the front with a spinning round house kick to the jaw. Using a combination of Mach Speed and Konisou Jack was able to become fast enough to literally attack Avarath from all sides. Jack continued this onslaught relentlessly until Avarath did something about it or became little more then a stain on the pavement.

Avarath took the hits from every side, each slash landing down against her armor, the kick connecting hard with her jaw, she stood there taking it before twirling her sword hard, a trail of black energy forming a line as it moved through the air at super speed, the dark energy forming in the sword as the green orb at the hilt glowed brightly. The line completed as a circle, just as Jack reappeared, half within the circle.
"Quaren" Avarath muttered as the line exploded all at once around her, sheltering her momentarily from attack, and hitting anything that might have been in the lines path around her, primarily, Jack.

Jack went spinning backwards, steadying himself once more in the air with a flap of his wings.
"Hmph! Let's see some real power..."
Jack held his hand up to the sky and the air began to condense and heat up in his palm, forming a large glowing orb. However, at the same time the air all around him was condensing into similar orbs that were glowing white hot as they spun around Jack. Hundreds of these orbs, like stars in a galaxy, swirling around the large and increasingly bright central orb at Jack's hand.
"Quasar"
Upon uttering the word, the other orbs spun rapidly into the center which lit up with a blinding light. Pointing his arm at Avarath all the energy exploded outward at once in a beam of energy that tore down the street, spontaneously combusting any flammable material it passed on its way to its target.

Avarath held the sword over her face, and watched as the beam of energy came barreling towards her, destorying everything in its path, the blade glinted brightly as it connected with the energy, absorbing the blast into the very blade, giving it a hot, blinding white glow as the woman weilded it in hand.
"Come down and fight me, Jack! Let me show you what real power is." Avarath yelled with a laugh.

Jack simply smiled at Avarath and closed his eyes, holding his hand in front of his face. The ground beneath Avarath groaned and trembled before bursting all around her. The pipes beneath the street had been ruptured sending water flooding onto the street around Avarath.
"Writhe in my cage of torment, my friend."
Then from the water flooding the streets several figures began to rise and take shape. Water clones, hundreds of them surrounded Avarath. All of them at once unsheathed their swords and slowly advanced inward. As they did this a pair of tentacles rose up silently from the water beneath Avarath and wrapped around her legs to hold her in place. The Water clones then all clasped their hands together and said in unison, "Frozen Spears of Kenshi!"
At that moment the water shot out at Avarath's heart and rapidly froze into a spear. It did this from hundreds of directions.

Twisting her sword in her hand quickly, Avarath plunged the glowing white hot blade into the ground shouting.
"MARITH!"
Suddenly the energy trapped from the Quasar within the swords blade exploded outwards, faintly reminescent of an atomic bomb, though smaller and the power more condensed, destroying the water clones with their ice, and the tentacles entrapping her.
As the debris cleared from the blast, several building having fallen with the sheer force, Avarath stood her blade pointed out before her. A smirk across her face.
"I'd suggest your death, Jack, but obviously you're having a little trouble there, love. TOBIAS!" As Avarath shouted the magic laced words she lifted the sword up slightly, and in sync with her, the bodies of the once faithful citizen of Tokyo stood up again, a swirling black outline about them, some of them burned beyond all recognition. A legion of the undead stood out amoungst the wreckage.
She smirked again "Attack!" she ordered as the bodies, now filled with magic began to throw swirling ball of darkness up towards Jack.

Jack continued to watch Avarath coldly as she unleashed the power in her staff to destroy the clones.
"I'm having a little trouble?" Jack responded with a curios tone, "You sure have an interesting way of turning a phrase..."
As Avarath raised the corpses on the street, the Water clones she had just destroyed rose back from the water below and reformed. Unsheathing their blades again and cracking their necks.
"Seems you and your corpses got a little wet... how about we help you cool off?"
As the clones hacked and slashed the corpses apart to keep them from attacking, Jack extended his hands and closed his eyes.
"Flash Freeze..."
Using his power Jack slowed the molecules in the air all around them causing the temperature to drop drastically. The water and the corpses that had been submerged would be frozen solid along with the clones and Avarath. Jack then snapped his fingers, using air pressure to shatter the flash frozen corpses.
