The Memory of Corellia touched down on a public landing pad in the city of New Vertica. Kell walked down the boarding ramp with Jor, minus his power suit, following close behind.
"Watch yourself here kid. The people here are just as aggressive as those on Coruscant plus a lot of them are desperate. Thats a dangerous mix." Jor said.
Kell nodded in agreement. "If you don't mind me asking, what are we doing here?"
"Well, your training is coming along nicely. you've proven yourself a few times to be useful, and cool headed. And your willingness to abandon your fear of heights has showed me your willing to accept the responsibility of being a Jedi knight. So we're comming here so you can build your lightsaber, the symbol of the Jedi." Jor explained.
Kell smiled, his excitement doubling in an instant. He was finally going to have the weapon of a Jedi knight. But then he realized what Jor was saying. "but, Jor, where am i going to find the parts to build a lightsaber here? On Nar Shaddaa?"
"Lightsabers are relatively easy to construct, they're parts are common. The only real trouble you'll have is the crystal, but even here on Nar Shaddaa you can find them. Rare gems of various levels of legality travel through here on a regular basis. Now, i've mailed the design specs of a basic lightsaber to your datapad. Go ahead, i'll wait with the ship for now." Jor said.
Kell thought for a moment, then shrugged his shoulders. How hard could this be?

Kell pounded on the junker with the long handled torque wrench. After the fifth strike, the handle bar he was after fell off. He picked the handle bar up and examined it. It was the perfect size for a lightsaber hilt, and the old junker of a speeder bike in the scrap yard he was in wouldn't need it anymore.
He dropped the hilt into his leather bag along with the power cell he'd found in an industrial search light along with it's charger plug. It had been 3 hours and he already had 3 parts outlined in the designs sent to him by Jor. But he didn't just want to make a carbon copy of the lightsaber in the designs, he wanted to make something unique
He walked out of the scrap yard with the components in his bag and set out into the city. He had to keep an eye out for a crystal that would work for his saber. Something special that would really make the saber one of a kind.

Kell crawled out from under the speeder and wiped some sweat and grease from his forehead. He clamored up to the open engine panel and triggered the throttle while the shop mechanic hit the ignition button. The repulsor engine sprang to life, lifting the speeder 2 feet off the support blocks. Kell smiled.
The day after they had landed, Kell had found this speeder workshop. The owner had his hands on a superconductor matrix the perfect size to fit Kells new lightsaber, but he wouldn't part with it. Kell had offered to work for him for a day in exchange for the part and the mechanic agreed.
Kell, who had grown up on a farm, had some experience with fixing broken farm equipment and vehicles so he was more then useless at this job, and the assistance he rendered the mechanic was more then welcome.
Kell sat down on the workbench and tried to get the grease from between his fingers with a rag. The mechanic came over to him and sat down next to Kell, placing the superconductor matrix down on the bench between them.
"I want to thank you for your work." The mechanic said. "You've earned this. and if the whole Jedi thing doesn't work out for you, you'll always have a job here."
Kell smiled and thanked the man, taking the matrix and placing it in his leather bag with the other items.

"The Great Kalla suggests you go somewhere else. He is not a gem merchant." The protocol droid said, translating the huttese spoken by Kalla the Hutt.
Kell stood firm. Surrounded by thieves, Bounty Hunters and various other criminals Kell was definably out of his element, but he was here to get a crystal and he wouldn't leave until he got one.
"Your Master is one of the more well known rare jewel and rare gem traffickers on Nar Shaddaa. I'm looking for a Sapphire of surpassing quality, surly your master can accommodate me.
The Hutt boomed something Kell couldn't understand in Huttese. The protocol droid turned back to Kell and shook his head. "The great and wise Kalla denies his involvement in any gem smuggling and demands you stop insulting his intelligence. To think he would openly admit to criminal activity to a Jedi."
Kell sighed, perhaps it wasn't a good idea to identify himself as a Jedi right off the bat. At first he thought it would protect him, but he's found that it pissed plenty of people off.
"Perhaps i was premature in identifying myself as a Jedi. I'm merely a padawan, and i'm looking to broaden my horizons." Kell qualified. "I want a Gem to take to a buyer on Taris. This buyer won't accept any merchandise from me until i prove it's worth."
Kalla was silent for a few moments, narrowing his eyes at the Jedi Apprentice. He said something lower, and quieter. Kell took that as a good sign.
"The great and powerful Kalla says he might be willing to help you then, but you will have to do the footwork. He'll have the data sent to your datapad." The protocol droid said.
Kell smiled. He had an in and he was going to us it.

Kell watched the man in the green cloak approach. It was obvious, even from a distance that the man had a robotic left hand and a robotic left eye. The eye glowed a faint green in color and his left arm wasn't even covered in synthflesh.
Kell nodded to him and lifted the case he held full of credits. The man in the green cloak nodded in return and lifted a case as well. according to the deal, this one would be filled with rare jewels and precious stones from various locations.
"How do you want to play this?" The man in the green cloak said.
"I don't know. You?" Kell answered.
The man in the green cloak shrugged then tossed his case over to Kell. Surprised, Kell caught it and placed it on the ground. He opened it up and was surprised at what he saw. it was actually filled with gems and jewels. He expected it to be filled with lead.
Kell tossed the case full of credits back over to the man in the green cloak. He opened it to check it's contents. satisfied, he closed it and turned around. "Thanks, pleasure doing business with you." he said.
Suddenly, a flash and a loud bang. Kell had a feeling something wrong was about to happen, but shrugged it off as nothing. When the flashbang went off his mistake was made plain enough.
Three men in tactical vests dropped through the celeing window of the warehouse and hit the ground, hefting large repeating blasters.

Kell dove through the door, breaking through the simple wooden barrier blocking it. a hail of blaster fire came through the door behind him. His knee hit the ground awkwardly and pain shot up his leg.
He cried out but fought through it to stand up again, limping down an ally to the street. It was rush hour and traffic was busy. Kell couldn't take the time to hail a cab so he just jumped into the street and grabbed onto a passing speeder.
He felt a rib crack as he made contact with the hood of the speeder, but at these speeds he'd be out of the area in no time. He heard a woman scream inside the speeder. He just rolled over and gave her a thumbs up to tell her it's ok.

Jor walked up the ramp to the Memory of Corellia, leather bag in hand. Jor was waiting with a smile on his face. "You make a lightsaber yet?"
Kell held up the leather bag. "Nope, but i got the parts."
"good, you can make it on the way." Jor said. "We're going back to the temple."
"Why? what about your vision?" Kell asked
"I got a feeling, and i think a trip back to the temple to put the finishing touches on your saber would be a good tihigaff.... thhhhhhinggaf..... thiiiiiiiiingggggggging ing ing aff." Jor cluched his head and collapsed on the deck.
Kell ran up to him and checked his vitals. He shook violently, like in a seizure but Kell could sense no neurological problems with his brain. He put a strip of cloth in Jor's mouth to stop him from biting his tung and dragged him into the captains quarters. After a few moments, Jor stopped spasming and woke up with a start.
"Jor?" Kell asked.
"Power us up. Get the navacomputer running and waiting for coordinates. we're not going back to the temple." Jor said. Kell noticed that his eyes were fully dilated, even though the lights in the room were bright
"Jor, what happened? Whats going on?" Kell asked with a worried look on his face.
"I might be going crazy, or maybe a friend from a long ass time ago contacted me." Jor said. "Your going to want to fix up that lightsaber as fast as possible. I'll show you how on the way there."
