the simple answer is to stop trying to fix it, it's not broken. Economies do this, they go though awesome high periods where everyone is happy and gets stupid which causes them to drop suddenly into vast depressions. It's a fact of life and the very fact that were spending trillions to get ourselves out of it is a useless gesture.
But, it looks good in papers if our lord and master on high, from his throne in heaven looks like he's trying to fix it.

ehh, i would like a little deflation, so that a lunch for a family is like 3 dollars while a box of chocolates are 20 cents.... i don't know how i could pull it off but i wish it happened.

-shrugs- opinions on this are all over the book but I think Obama's people are at least trying, which is more than the last guy did. So I support Obama BUT the bailouts have to end. GM doesn't deserve it and neither do most of the banks... their bad practices caused them to lose TRILLIONS so let them all go work at McDonalds!

No, no. I'd do a massive takeover of other countries slowly and gradually. It'll involve loads and loads of assassins. When their leaders are gone, I will take over! YES!!!! YES!!!!
Or maybe nukes.... I'll sell nukes to Iran and North Korea. Very good idea.

nukes not a bad idea if you know how to make one. Fortunely for me it runs in my blood. If the U.S falls to communism it will be by my hand. Now back to topic, Zilfer is right about spending money. Bush tried to fix it a few years back by giving free checks remember but most people put it in the bank than spend it. He got a lot of crap about it too. Now its Obama's turn to fail.

There are simple ways to fix the econemy.
*Stop fucking with it. as mik says, it will eventually balance itself out.
*Legalize Marajana and tax it
*A large war. Now I mean a large war involving several rich countries. This is the fastest way out of depression. It got us out of the Great Depression.
*and my personal favorite. Reduce or get rid of the worthless willfare system. It needs to be considerable restructure to make it more effecent, but I think is so screwed up that it needs scrapped and maybe replaced.
*Maybe make the prison system a slave labor system. You are government proparty while in prison. They fight forest fires, do government work projects, whatever needs done... Hell send them to dig a big ass trench in Iraq for all I really care.
