***Down in the lower levels, things seemed to be gloomier then usual. It was slightly musty, the dirt and grit lifting to give the area a slightly foggy look; a heavy fog that came up to your waist kind of thing. This was more of a slums part of town, mostly poor people and families. The occasional theif and thug came around fighting for a cent, but no one seemed to care. Shadows crept around making the alleys and streets dark, and you never know who or what is lying around the corner in wait.***
Jaggary wasn't to pleased. Coruscant was a stranger to him. He wasn't used to such big crowds with easy pockets to pick from. He enjoyed a challange now and again, but this was a little too much. The aracnid was a predator, not easily blending in, now a place like the slums was perfect.
But as much as he hated to admit it, Jaggary was lost. Yet lost in a good sort of way; the kind that no one really worries about. Now Jaggary could just stand and wait for something interesting to happen. Those spider predator instincts; let the prey come to you.
Jaggary sniffed unenthusiasticly, remaining silent while watching with red reflective eyes; shifting from one person to the other in the slightly foggy grit. It wasn't very useful. The only thing standing around did was to add to the discomfort of the spider legs on his back; for they were pressed against his back in hiding. Whatever.
Biff was curled up by Jaggary's collar, purring softly with each exhale as he snoozed pleasureably. The Tiny creature made the Bounty Hunter half-smile, as he patted its small head gently, rubbing inbetween the horns. Pushing his hat further down over his face, Jaggary decided it was time to move as he stepped out into the street.
Two people went pass rather closely, nearly ramming into him. Four eyes narrowed into red slits as he backed up out of the way, watching them pass with a frown. 'That was polite...' He thought to himself dryly.
Shaking his back, long legs out a little more, he began to wander about just out of random curiousity and bordom. Biff yawned, stretched lazily and flopped around Jaggary's shoulders; resting his head on the spider's right shoulder and curling his tail around the left one. Another yawn escaped his tiny mouth as he seemed to look around with little interest.
"That's right..."
Jaggary muttered sympatheticly, scratching his pet under the chin. Biff purred in pleasure, loving the attention.
"Nothing out there, Hmm? Dull, flat, boring... We just have to wait for some unfortunate to come along our path, don't we? Hopefully they would have a pocket big enough to feed your lil' stomach, Hmm?"
Jaggary looked about. Shoving each hand in one of the many many pockets on his coat, he grumbled. Truth to be told, he hadn't eaten in a while and it seemed to drop his mood another few feet lower then it already seemed to be. There were few rats, the ones he had seen were scrawny and hardly worth a chase. He needed something a little more substantial, as did Biff.
