Well you all may have heard me talking about working on fixing things for a while now. A lot of new ideas have been proposed recently concerning how we RP here and I hope this will help solve them all. Some of you may have already heard rumors about this and some may be completely clueless, so without further adieu, here it is!

This will be the new location for the BHOD. Yes, that's right, the forum is moving. And with that move there will be changes but I want to assure everyone here and now that no one will be losing anything and everyone will be compensated. I will outline the changes that you'll find on this new forum here in this thread. If you have question please do post them. I want everything cleared up here and now.
1. The Forum Rules have been changed. For the most part things are the same. The economic system is untouched, as are the overall forum rules. The RP rules however have some alterations, most notably the "right to defend" rule which no longer exists. Be sure to read the Forum Rules and feel free to ask questions.
2. No more weekly updates. Taking a cue from Rags recently posted idea (yes props you rags =P) you will be able to access and update your own profiles when ever you want after they've been accepted. Each will have its own thread so if anyone want to know what your character is up to they will only have to find your profile thread.
3. Characters and stats! You can make as many characters as you want. This is because your stats will no longer be recorded in "RPG Stats" but in the profiles you submit with your characters. Stats will (generally) not grow, there will be no experience points. You will be able to progress the stats with time based on the RP's you participate in. The progress of your stats are purely at the discretion of the admins however and are not to be altered by anyone else.
4. No XP... then what about all the XP I have here? Glad you asked! the answer to that question can be found here:

Basically you'll be compensated for all of your characters XP with credits. Also all of your posts from this forum and credits will come with you. Everything you've bought from the holonet is able to come with you as well, just list it under "Purchases" when you make your new profiles.
5. What about the Prizes from the Games!? You get to keep all of them. Though there will be no more feats, all the feats earned in the games will still be valid. As will all of the prizes.
6. So how do these new stats work? Not like the old ones. Your stats are no longer compared to an opponents or given a ratio. They are simply a gauge of your characters abilities. If your strength is higher then someone else's that doesn't necessarily mean you will overpower them 100% of the time. You will simply be expected to role play your characters realistically. Most characters aren't machines, they get tired, they make mistakes. Play within the story and make things interesting for others to read.
7. Submitting Profiles will perhaps be the biggest change and challenge. Your character profiles are going to be expected to be a detailed narrative of your characters entire life from birth to the present. It will be important that you leave nothing out because the quality of your bio will determine the sorts of stats, skills and powers you will be allowed to give your characters.
Thats all I can think of for the time being. I'll open the floor up to questions now. You can sign up for the new forum when ever you'd like. We will not officially be moving over right away, so you have time to get yourself acclimated and come write up a profile.
