A Sith is free of rules and restrictions. Do they have the option of doing whatever they want. The answer depends on their power. A powerful Sith will do as he pleases and destroy those who would attempt to stop him. A master is a master becuase he is strong and has earned that right. As an apprentice is an apprentice because he is not yet strong enough to lead. An apprentice kills his master when he is stonger, and thus the most powerful Sith will always lead, this is what keeps the order strong. The point is that freedom goes hand in hand with power. If you want to be truely free from rules and restrictions, then you have to be powerful.
[/quote]
So, for me to become something so powerful I must kill Cain for he is my Master and I am his apprentice. If to gain the Power I choose to gain that is what I must do. I have been told this. You dont think I have the power right now to do so? He has taught me so much and that is what I must do to gain what I truly crave most. POWER! I can not say anymore. If that is what I must do then...

well i think the problem to the rule of the strongest idea is summed up in the book Dune.
amongst the Fremen, only the strongest and best fighter leads the troop. the leader can be chalenged to a death match at any time by any other memeber of the troop and it's a fight to the death.
the main character, Paul, becomes the best fighter in the entire Fremen society but is disrespected by the Fremen because he will not challenge the current leader for the leadership roll.
Paul tells the Fremen that he would no more cut off his own right arm and let it bleed on the floor then kill the current leader, because by killing the current leader, the whole tribe is weakend.

There is a reason why in the later star wars books that luke adopts the grey jedi way of thinking, becasue he relaizes that they can't win the war against the Yuuuzhan vong by sticking strictly to jedi rules, Becasue the jedi won't adopt to sith ways of thinking and at least use teh force to kill there adversaires, a strike team of jedi lead by anakin solo end up failing, cause they won't use the force for even slightly wrong reasons, thus in the end anakin solo dies becasue of this, and there mission fails. So its not what side is stronger, the force is more of a tool to use in any way you want, for different circumstances. There fore neither side is stronger, they are equal....
