So tell me why are some force powers neutral? used by both sides? doesnt that make the sith and jedi hold simalar values? of force powers? There is The Force... And... The Dark Side of the Force. Yoda and Obi-Wan can start flinging lightning around all they want and they can choak people and freeze their lungs if they wanted, them being on the lightside doesn't prevent them from doing that. to use the dark side is to tap into quicker, unstable and ultimatly weaker fuel source. a source that corrupts you, twists your mind and becomes something of an addiction. |

weaker fuel source? from what it looks like its stronger. the emporer taking out a whole fleet in one blast? now that sounds like more power then any jedi has shown that i know of.
BTW
there is the force....
And thats it. The force is brod with powers. being dark, light or neutral.
being on the light side does pretent them becuase of their code. if they break the code their not on the light side simple.
The medain between light and dark is very wide. from what you describ there is no line at all. Which is not true. All of this comes down to choise, belief, and also morral values. That is what is the difference between any 2 or more opposing groups.

yoda can shoot lightning all he wants... what is perventing him. the code never states that he can't. he knows how to absorb it and redirect it. its how one uses the power that draws them to the dark side, not the power itself. you think a sith wouldn't heal himself after receving a wound in battle?
jedi and sith all have the same powers, the jedi just use their power resonsibly while the dark jedi act on their feelings.
really, we shouldn't even be saying "lightside" of the force, because its not good nor evil. The dark side however, is evil, it corrupts in mind and body.

The dark side is a part of the force you cannot denie that. if you say the Dark side of the force is evil then a part of The force is evil. A weapon can be used for good or evil.
The code prevents yoda from using force lighting. Why becuase you have to use your emotions to use dark side powers such as force lighting. It takes focus on your feelings. The code forbids that. There is no emotion... Remeber?

The Dark side is only weak, becasue it eventually consumes you, and you are hopeless.....the lightside is the good side and there aren't as many risks

the dark side does require emotion to connect with... true.
but lightning does not require the dark side, it requires the force.
and of coarse the dark side is part of the force. i'm sorry if i sounded like i was saying it wasn't but it is the dark side OF the force.
